Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Mine planning activities require analysis to apply the mining sequence to determine the reserve value of the designed mining sequence by considering the ultimate pit limit to match the targeted reserve and economic value. The designed pit limit will be divided into smaller units that consider the recommended stripping ratio value from the company. In the study, 2 PC-800 tools were selected with a month's production value of 274,176 Bcm for overburden excavation and 1 PC-200 with a month's production value of 42 Bcm. 1 PC-200 with a production value for a month of 42,389.57 tonnes for coal excavation. coal excavation, then volume calculations were carried out using the block model method. Abstract

This research was conducted because the material absorption capacity needs to be maximized, so it is necessary to make a mining slope geometry with an optimal safety factor value so that there is no potential for landslides in the research area. The method used is the morgenstern price method, this method was chosen because it has considered the stability of moments and forces. The actual slope geometry that has not been tested for safety needs to be changed. The physical and mechanical properties data collection is processed to produce a geometric model with a safety factor in accordance with applicable regulations. The actual slope geometry of the Cijurey block is 20m with a slope of 85o, 8m with a slope of 88o, 5m with a slope of 83o and 4m with a slope of 85o with a safety factor value of 1.01. A geometric change was made with a slope height of 6 m and a ladder width of 3m which was made multi-level with an overall angle of 80o having a safety factor of 1.302 which means that it has met the slope safety criteria. Keywords: safety factor, geometry, slope

Abstract

Effective software development planning is vital across various industries, and inadequate planning can lead to project failures. A key part of this planning is accurately estimating effort and costs, which is crucial for staying within budget and meeting deadlines. This research compares two methods – Use Case Point Activity Based Costing (with 21 complexity factors) and Adjusted Function Point (with 16 complexity factors) – for estimating costs versus actual values. The analysis reveals that the Use Case Point method had a 23.52% deviation from actual costs, while the Adjusted Function Point method had a 33.35% deviation. These findings provide essential reference points during software project planning, ensuring estimates closely align with actual values based on project-specific attributes. This deviation underscores the importance of precision and selecting appropriate methodologies tailored to each project’s unique characteristics. Ultimately, this research equips businesses and project managers with a robust financial prudence framework and enhances the likelihood of project success.
