Abstract

ABSTRAK. Pendidikan di abad 21 menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis dan analitis siswa. Sehingga, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui masalah terkait materi yang dianggap sukar dan bagaimana solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dalam pembelajar IPA di SD. Metodologi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian mixmethod dimana data-data kuantitatif kemudian diperkuat dengan data-data kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini melibatkan responden 2 orang guru IPAS kelas 4 SDIT, 17 orang siswa kelas 4 SDIT.  Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen angket, lembar wawancara dan lembar observasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara langsung turun ke lapangan dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk kuantitatif dan analisis hasil wawancara untuk kualitatif sehingga data yang diperoleh menjadi komperhensif. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa ada satu materi yang dianggap sukar yaitu perkembangiakan tumbuhan 66,7%. Setelah diterapkan Video Animasi, terjadi peningkatan terhadap pemahaman siswa 47,1%, sedangkan metode pembelajaran menggunakan buku teks hanya 23,5% dan demontrasi langsung 29,4%.   Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat satu materi yang sulit dan media video animasi dapat menjadi alternative solusi dalam membantu siswa memahami pembelajaran yang dianggap sukar.Kata kunci: Keywords : IPAS, Perkembangbiakan Tumbuhan, Kesulitan Belajar, Video Animasi, dan mixmethod.

Abstract

The Malay community of Riau is known for its rich culture, which reflects noble values of life passed down through various traditions and ways of life from their ancestors. The principle of "adat bersendi syarak, syarak bersendi kitabullah" serves as a guide in their lives, integrating Islamic values into every aspect of their existence. This article aims to examine the way of life of the Malay community in Riau as part of cultural heritage that needs to be preserved, as well as its relevance in the present time. Using a qualitative approach and literature study, this research explores various aspects of Malay Riau culture, such as customs, oral literature, traditional clothing, and how the Malay community preserves the environment. Amid the challenges of globalization and modernization, this article shows that the values within the Malay Riau way of life remain essential in creating a harmonious, cultured, and virtuous society. Efforts to preserve culture through education and cultural festivals are also crucial so that younger generations can continue to appreciate and maintain this cultural heritage.

Abstract

This article discusses the debate between rationalism and empiricism from the perspective of modern epistemology, aiming to uncover how both approaches have contributed to the development of science and technology. Rationalism asserts that knowledge is acquired through reason and logic, independent of sensory experience, as advocated by philosophers such as René Descartes and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. In contrast, empiricism emphasizes that knowledge arises from sensory experience, as articulated by John Locke, George Berkeley, and David Hume. Although these views are often considered opposing, Immanuel Kant attempted to bridge the gap by proposing that knowledge is the result of the interaction between reason and experience. In the context of modern science, both rationalism and empiricism are no longer viewed as separate poles but rather as complementary, especially in fields such as artificial intelligence and neurobiology. This article demonstrates that the synthesis of rationalism and empiricism provides a more holistic understanding of human knowledge, which is highly relevant to the advancement of science and technology in the modern era. This research employs a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, examining literature related to rationalism, empiricism, and modern epistemology to analyze their contributions to the formation of knowledge
