Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing of health-based local products in Plenen Village as a buffer village of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate and its implications for community welfare. The identified problems include limited human resource capacity, restricted market access, and limited understanding of modern marketing strategies among micro and small business actors. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and field observations, while secondary data were collected from official documents, development reports, and related publications. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions using source and method triangulation to ensure validity. The results indicate that the people of Plenen Village have diverse potential in health-based local products, including healthy processed foods and herbal products. The marketing strategies applied include direct marketing, digital marketing, and partnerships with local communities, which significantly improve community income and welfare. Major challenges still include limited product innovation and human resource capacity. This study concludes that marketing health-based local products can be an effective strategy to enhance the welfare of buffer village communities around industrial estates, provided it is supported by empowerment, innovation, and adequate policies.

Abstract

Emergency and post-disaster conditions often disrupt essential midwifery services, directly affecting the safety of mothers and newborns. Limited access to health facilities, shortages of healthcare personnel, and weak referral systems are major barriers to maternal and neonatal care in disaster-prone areas. This Community Service Program was conducted in Nogosari Village, Pacet District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, to strengthen the preparedness of midwifery services. The methods included cross-sector coordination, community education, capacity building for supporting personnel, mentoring of health cadres, and simulation of essential midwifery service pathways in crisis situations. The activities focused on the provision of basic midwifery services, continuity of care for pregnant women, childbirth, postpartum mothers, and newborns, as well as strengthening the referral system. The results showed increased knowledge, skills, and preparedness among community members, cadres, and volunteers in maintaining essential midwifery services during emergencies. In addition, a shared understanding was developed regarding the importance of continuity of midwifery care as a form of protection for vulnerable groups. This program strengthened the resilience of community-based midwifery service systems and supported efforts to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality risks in disaster situations. Furthermore, the activity encouraged sustainable collaboration among healthcare workers, village authorities, and the community to maintain adaptive and responsive midwifery services in the future.

Abstract

LKP Aora Wistara is a training institution for students with disabilities in Surabaya focusing on economic independence through the art of batik, yet it still faces challenges in environmental safety literacy. This community service activity aims to empower disabled students through the integration of vocational skills and emergency mitigation education. The method employed was an inclusive participatory approach involving strategic coordination, digital application-based emergency training, and batik mentoring themed "Resilience Motif." A total of 30 students actively participated with the support of sign language instructors. Evaluation results using a Likert scale showed significant improvements across all indicators, with the highest surge in digital application usage skills (from 1.8 to 4.2) and participant self-confidence (final score of 4.8). The program successfully produced an Inclusive Health Education Application and enhanced independent mitigation capabilities. It is concluded that the synergy between inclusive digital technology and creative art activities is effective in building psychological resilience and independence for vulnerable groups with disabilities.
