Abstract

Developing environmentally friendly livestock food provision in Blitar Regency through duck farming is one of the strategic efforts to increase community animal protein consumption while maintaining environmental sustainability. This community service program is designed with a participatory approach, education, and application of appropriate technology. The methods used include surveys, farmer training, implementation of technology to increase livestock productivity, use of biodigesters, and strengthening farmer institutions. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in farmer knowledge and skills, with an average post-test score increasing by 40% compared to the pre-test. The adoption of appropriate technology, such as feed biofermentation, and biodigesters, has succeeded in reducing production costs by 30%. Livestock productivity increased with production, while duck mortality rates decreased from 15% to 5%. Strengthening farmer institutions through the formation of farmer groups also increases the organizational capacity and bargaining power of farmers, including in accessing government financing and support. This program not only has a positive impact on farmer welfare but also contributes to meeting the community's animal protein needs and better environmental management. The sustainability of this program is expected to be achieved through supervision and synergy between the government, academics, and the private sector. This holistic approach shows great potential for replication in other areas with similar conditions.

Abstract

This study explores the Indonesian legend of Tangkuban Prau as a reflection of customary law (hukum adat) values through a literary and legal lens. The research aims to uncover how the narrative encapsulates and reinforces societal norms, focusing on themes of familial respect, ethical boundaries, and social harmony in West Javanese culture. Using qualitative methods, the study analyzes the legend’s narrative structure, character dynamics, and symbolic motifs, revealing its role as both a cultural artifact and a medium for moral education. The findings demonstrate that the tale conveys the principles of hukum adat through its depiction of moral dilemmas, cosmic justice, and the consequences of violating societal norms. Moreover, the story’s timeless appeal highlights its potential for cultural preservation and intergenerational education. This research underscores the relevance of folklore in bridging tradition and modernity, contributing to the broader discourse on the intersection of literature and law in cultural studies.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan adopsi teknologi energi alternatif, khususnya sistem biogas sederhana. Melalui pelatihan dan implementasi, masyarakat memperoleh pengetahuan tentang manfaat biogas sebagai solusi energi ramah lingkungan dan mulai menerapkannya dalam kehidupan rumah tangga. Selain itu, pemberdayaan pemuda lokal melalui pelatihan teknis menciptakan sistem dukungan berkelanjutan yang mempermudah pemeliharaan dan pengembangan teknologi biogas. Program ini menghasilkan modul pelatihan yang terstruktur dan prototipe biogas fungsional, memungkinkan masyarakat untuk menerapkan teknologi tersebut secara mandiri. Selain itu, inisiatif ini juga meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pengelolaan limbah yang efektif dan pentingnya solusi energi ramah lingkungan. Dengan komitmen masyarakat yang kuat dan rencana tindak lanjut berupa pelatihan lanjutan, program ini memiliki potensi untuk memberikan manfaat jangka panjang serta mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di wilayah sasaran.
