Abstract

The development of the retail sector is influenced by many factors such as competition, government policies and technology that have an impact on consumer patterns in consuming goods or services. This will affect the company's business activities, especially in gaining profits. This will certainly have an impact on financial performance. Poor financial conditions allow companies to face financial difficulties and even lose investor trust. The purpose of this study was to determine the overall level of financial difficulties in retail sector companies during the 2020-2023 period using the Altman Z-Score Modified method to predict financial difficulties. This study uses a non-statistical quantitative method and 12 companies were used as samples using a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that out of 12 companies, one company experienced financial distress, one company was in the gray area zone and ten companies were in the healthy category.

Abstract

This research combines portfolio management and cluster analysis as an alternative diversification strategy to reduce risk. The method used is a comparative approach to compare the performance of the formed portfolio. The object of this research was taken purposively from JII stocks for January 2018 to June 2023. Portfolio selection is based on two hierarchical clustering techniques, namely Ward’s algorithm and Complete Linkage. Meanwhile, the portfolio formation uses Islamic CAPM by replacing the risk-free rate with a sukuk coupon. The results of the analysis show that cluster analysis can be an effective tool for investors to select stocks. Each clustering technique produces 4 clusters, and then from each cluster, the most representative stock is selected so that the portfolio consists of 4 stocks each. Based on the Sharpe index, the Complete Linkage clustering technique is proven to outperform in portfolio formation compared to Ward’s algorithm.

Abstract

Peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi menjadi kebutuhan mendesak di era digital saat ini, terutama dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan efisien. PAUD KOBER Mekar Asih, yang berlokasi di Desa Mekarjaya, Kecamatan Ciawigebang, Kabupaten Kuningan, Jawa Barat, menyadari pentingnya hal ini dan menyelenggarakan pelatihan Google Workspace for Education bagi para gurunya. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan berbagai aplikasi Google Workspace seperti Google Classroom, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, dan Google Slides. Metode pelatihan terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, dengan pendekatan yang praktis dan aplikatif. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan digital para guru, yang berdampak positif pada efektivitas proses pembelajaran dan administrasi di sekolah. Guru-guru di PAUD KOBER Mekar Asih kini lebih mampu menyusun materi pembelajaran, mengelola kelas, serta berkomunikasi dengan siswa dan orang tua secara lebih baik.

Abstract

The use of digital technology in marketing is becoming increasingly important for MSMEs to compete and thrive in the digital economy era, but some MSMEs face challenges in utilizing digital technology effectively. One effective strategy is the use of landing pages and WhatsApp Business, which can provide ease of communication and increase direct customer engagement. The landing page serves as a center of information and promotion, while WhatsApp Business facilitates direct communication with customers. This integration is expected to increase marketing efficiency, expand market reach, and improve interaction with customers. This article is the result of community service activities carried out in Kadugede Village, Kuningan Regency, with the aim of assisting MSMEs in utilizing landing pages integrated with WhatsApp Business to strengthen their digital marketing strategies. The method used in this activity is training/workshop, which involves participants actively in the process of creating and integrating the two platforms. The results of this activity showed that the participants were able to create a landing page and integrate WhatsApp Business well, thus helping to promote MSME products more widely. This shows that the utilization of digital technology such as landing pages and WhatsApp Business can be an effective strategy in improving marketing by expanding the market reach and sales of MSMEs. This training also has a positive impact on increasing the digital literacy of MSME players.

Abstract

Pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, namun masih banyak yang menghadapi kendala dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk pemasaran. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan digital marketing bagi pelaku UMKM di Desa Sukaraja, Kecamatan Ciawigebang, Kabupaten Kuningan. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pelatihan intensif selama dua hari, melibatkan 4 dosen dan 2 mahasiswa dari Program Studi Bisnis Digital, dengan total 21 peserta yang berasal dari berbagai bidang usaha seperti pengrajin, kuliner, fashion, dan jasa. Materi yang diberikan meliputi: (1) Pengenalan Digital Marketing, (2) Branding dan Konten Kreatif, (3) Strategi Pemasaran di Marketplace dan Media Sosial, serta (4) Pemanfaatan Digital Tools untuk Peningkatan Penjualan. Evaluasi keberhasilan dilakukan menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test, serta kuesioner kepuasan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan dari 45,24 menjadi 79,57 atau meningkat ±75,9% dari skor awal. Tingkat kepuasan peserta berada pada kategori sangat baik, dengan skor rata-rata indikator di atas 4,5 (skala 1–5). Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital pemasaran dan kesiapan pelaku UMKM untuk bersaing di era digital.

Abstract

Financial inclusion has become a global development agenda, yet in Indonesia a significant gap remains between the level of inclusion and financial literacy. Among young generations, particularly university students, access to financial services is increasing through digital platforms, but effective and responsible utilization is still not fully achieved. This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, financial technology, and social capital on financial inclusion among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Kuningan. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data and multiple linear regression analysis. The dependent variable was financial inclusion, while the independent variables included financial literacy, financial technology, and social capital. The findings reveal that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion. Among them, financial technology has the strongest impact. The model explains 60.2% of the variance in financial inclusion, indicating a strong explanatory power. The study underscores the importance of integrating behavioural, technological, and social dimensions to strengthen financial inclusion among young people. It contributes to the theoretical framework of the Theory of Planned Behaviour and provides practical implications for policymakers, educators, and financial service providers in promoting inclusive and sustainable financial access

Abstract

Transformasi digital telah membuka peluang besar bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk meningkatkan daya saing melalui pemanfaatan teknologi pemasaran digital. Namun, rendahnya literasi digital menjadi hambatan utama bagi UMKM di wilayah pedesaan, termasuk di Desa Cigugur, Kabupaten Kuningan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pelatihan digital marketing terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan adopsi teknologi pemasaran digital bagi pelaku UMKM. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi teoritis, praktik langsung pembuatan akun bisnis digital, pendampingan teknis, serta evaluasi berbasis pre-test dan post-test menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada skor pengetahuan peserta dari rata-rata 3,73 (pre-test) menjadi 5,53 (post-test), serta peningkatan sikap dan efikasi diri dari 3,13 menjadi 3,73. Tingkat adopsi teknologi digital mencapai 100% untuk WhatsApp Business dan Google Business Profile, sementara frekuensi pemasaran digital meningkat dari 3,2 kali/minggu menjadi 3,67 kali/minggu. Rata-rata kepuasan peserta terhadap pelatihan memperoleh skor 4,0 dari 5, yang menunjukkan bahwa desain pelatihan kontekstual dan berbasis praktik dinilai relevan serta bermanfaat. Pelatihan digital marketing efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital sekaligus mendorong transformasi pemasaran berbasis teknologi di kalangan pelaku UMKM.

Abstract

Cigugur Village as one of the Tourism Village in Kuningan Regency has great potential to improve the economy of its community through MSMEs. Many local MSME products have advantages but are not supported by appropriate marketing strategies. The majority of MSMEs still apply conventional marketing by word of mouth and entrust it to retail stores. As a result, sales tend to stagnate and it is difficult to compete with competitors in the market. Therefore, this community service was carried out to provide education to Cigugur Village MSMEs regarding the latest digital marketing strategies by creating an integrated WhatsApp Business landing page by utilizing the free features of Canva. A total of 20 participants took part in this program. After this activity was carried out, the participants succeeded in creating a simple landing page quite well. After being provided with education, there was an increase in the participants’ understanding of digital marketing concepts and the practice of using them. It is hoped that this service activity can help MSME players develop their business through digital marketing tools, such as landing pages, thereby positively impacting the survival and sustainability of Cigugur Village MSMEs.
