Abstract

The 2024 Regional Head Election is a strategic moment in strengthening democracy in Indonesia. One of the main challenges is increasing voter participation rates, especially among young people. Generation Z, as a group that grew up in the digital era, has great potential to influence increased regional election participation. This article aims to analyze the role of Generation Z in increasing participation rates for the 2024 regional elections. In this context, Generation Z has a strategic role because of their significant numbers and unique characteristics as a digitally connected and change-oriented generation. The results of this research show that Generation Z has great potential to become agents of change through various strategies through the use of social media for political campaigns, dissemination of accurate information and education about the importance of elections. This article concludes that with the right empowerment, Generation Z can be the main driver in creating regional elections that are more inclusive, transparent and have high participation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve students' reading skills through the application of the global method assisted by the "smart wheel" media. This research uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles, and employs a quantitative method. The data collection instruments used in this study include student observation sheets, teacher activity observation sheets, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 29 second-grade students at SD IT Annurillah Beringin.The results of the study showed a significant improvement in students' reading skills, as evidenced by the average percentage scores on the student observation sheets. In Cycle I, the average score for students' reading ability was 66.86%, while in Cycle II, the average score increased to 84.09%, reflecting an improvement of 17.23%. Meanwhile, the average score on the teacher activity observation sheets in Cycle I was 71.87%, and in Cycle II, it increased to 89.06%, indicating an improvement of 17.19%. Based on the findings above, it can be concluded that the implementation of the global method assisted by the "smart wheel" media effectively improves the reading skills of students at SD IT Annurillah Beringin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi siswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di SMA Swasta Kesatria Medan. Pancasila sebagai dasar negara memiliki nilai-nilai fundamental yang seharusnya tercermin dalam sikap dan perilaku siswa, baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap siswa kelas XI yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memahami pentingnya nilai-nilai Pancasila, seperti gotong royong, toleransi, dan keadilan. Namun, implementasi nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masih bersifat situasional dan belum sepenuhnya konsisten. Faktor-faktor seperti pengaruh lingkungan, media sosial, dan kurangnya keteladanan turut memengaruhi persepsi serta pengamalan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penguatan internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dan keteladanan dari guru dan lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

The Institute of Courses and Training (LKP) as part of informal education plays a crucial role in the development of human resources (HR). LKP not only functions as a place to improve learners' technical skills but also as a vehicle to internalize moral and ethical values, including the values of Pancasila. This study aims to assess the implementation of Pancasila values among teachers and learners at Ayumi Deli Serdang Course and Training Institute. The research was conducted by conducting interviews with the foundation, teachers, and students at Ayumi Deli Serdang Course and Training Institute and observations to directly observe the implementation of Pancasila values in training activities and foundation management. Overall, interviews with the three sample groups showed a strong connection between the management of the foundation management, teacher support, and the impact of learning on students in the application of Pancasila values. Observations showed the implementation of Pancasila values in various aspects of learning and management activities. The foundation's vision and mission have been reflected in the foundation's management which supports teachers in instilling Pancasila values to students. Teachers actively implement Pancasila values through contextual approaches, such as encouraging tolerance, mutual cooperation, and social justice in the classroom.

Abstract

Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) sebagai bagian dari pendidikan informal memegang peranan krusial dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia (SDM). LKP tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknis peserta didik tetapi juga sebagai wahana untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai moral dan etika, termasuk nilai-nilai Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai penerapan nilai-nilai Pancasila di kalangan guru dan peserta didik di Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan Ayumi Deli Serdang, Penelitiam dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap yayasan, guru, dan siswa di LKP Ayumi Deli Serdang dan observasi untuk mengamati langsung pelaksanaan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kegiatan pelatihan dan pengelolaan yayasan. Secara keseluruhan, wawancara dengan ketiga kelompok sampel menunjukkan adanya keterkaitan yang kuat antara pengelolaan manajemen yayasan, dukungan guru, dan dampak pembelajaran terhadap siswa dalam penerapan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Hasil observasi menunjukkan implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam berbagai aspek kegiatan pembelajaran dan manajemen. Visi dan misi Yayasan telah tercermin dalam pengelolaan manajemen yayasan yang mendukung guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai Pancasila kepada siswa. Guru secara aktif menerapkan nilai-nilai Pancasila melalui pendekatan kontekstual, seperti mendorong toleransi, gotong royong, dan keadilan sosial di dalam kelas.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide education on preventing juvenile delinquency in the school environment, specifically in class XI 2 of SMAN 13 Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. From the community service activities where the implementation of the MKWK program class of 2025 Al-Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The conclusions obtained include: through this educational activity it is hoped that it can provide insight into the impact of juvenile delinquency. With this education it is hoped that delinquency among teenagers will be reduced and provide them with insight into the impacts that will occur from each juvenile delinquency they commit, so that it can create a safe school environment to encourage better future planning. This activity was carried out through counseling, simulation of cases/types of juvenile delinquency, and interactive discussions between us UMN students as resource persons and students. In addition, students were given a complete ppt about juvenile delinquency as well as its types and solutions. Students were also given time to write and tell what they experienced during school. The resource person also provided efforts and solutions in preventing juvenile delinquency and gave a small prize to students who had written and told their story in front of the class. Obstacles that arose included the difficulty of coordinating meeting times with the administration administrators in submitting correspondence.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance students’ awareness and understanding of juvenile delinquency prevention strategies in an effort to develop a healthy and high-quality generation through the roles of family, school, and society. The activity was carried out in the form of an educational socialization program using lecture, discussion, and question-and-answer methods. The materials presented covered the definition of juvenile delinquency, its types, contributing factors, negative impacts, and prevention strategies applicable in school and family settings. The participants consisted of 29 students from Grade XII MIPA 1 at SMA Swasta Eria Medan. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding of the dangers of juvenile delinquency and the importance of self-control and positive peer environments. Active student participation during the sessions reflected a positive response to the program. The prevention strategies emphasized include strengthening character education, improving communication between students, teachers, and parents, and fostering a supportive social environment. This activity concludes that collaboration among family, school, and community plays a strategic role in reducing juvenile delinquency and shaping morally responsible and high quality youth.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penjelasan tentang bagaimana dan apa saja macam – macam pengaruh lingkungan terhadap jati diri siswa tepatnya di kelas XII-5 SMAN 21 Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Dari kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan, dimana untuk pelaksanaan tugas MKWK angkatan 2025 Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah, Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah, dan lingkungan pergaulan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pembentukan jati diri siswa. Lingkungan keluarga yang harmonis dan suportif memberikan dasar yang kuat bagi perkembangan emosional dan sosial siswa. Lingkungan sekolah, melalui interaksi dengan guru dan teman sebaya serta kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, berperan penting dalam mengembangkan minat, bakat, dan keterampilan sosial siswa. Sementara itu, lingkungan pergaulan, terutama teman sebaya dapat memengaruhi perilaku dan pandangan siswa terhadap diri sendiri. Ketiga lingkungan ini saling berinteraksi dan memengaruhi satu sama lain dalam membentuk jati diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi semua pihak, termasuk orang tua, guru, dan masyarakat, untuk bekerja sama menciptakan lingkungan yang positif dan suportif bagi siswa agar mereka dapat tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi individu yang berkarakter, bertanggung jawab, berdaya saing, serta mampu memberikan kontribusi positif bagi masyarakat.
