Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes byimplementing a cooperative learning model of Think Talk Write type with mind mapping onglobal warming material for class XI of SMAN 1 Bonai Darussalam. The type of research used isa quasi-experimental design with one group being given treatment and one group not beinggiven any treatment. The research population was all students of class XI SMAN 1 BonaiDarussalam in the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 27 students and the research sampletotaling 15 students. The research instrument used was a test of students' cognitive learningoutcomes. The data collection technique in this study was to provide cognitive learning outcomestests after the learning process was carried out. The data were analyzed using descriptiveanalysis by calculating the absorption and effectiveness of learning, and inferential analysis ofhypothesis testing by means of t-test using the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 program. The results ofthis study were that there were differences in the cognitive learning outcomes of students whoapplied the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model. with Mind Mapping by applyingconventional learning, while the average absorption power of the experimental class is 82.22%in the good category and the control class is 68.29% in the fairly good category with a differencein value of 13.93%. The effectiveness of learning in the experimental class is in the effectivecategory and the control class is in the quite effective category. Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kinerja keuangan PT Dharma Samudera Fishing Industries Tbk dalam periode 2018-2022 yang berfokus pada rasio keuangan perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dalam profitabilitas yang dihasilkan perusahaan pada tahun 2022. Solvabilitas Perusahaan terus meningkat seiring dengan penurunan Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). Selain itu jika dilihat dari rasio likuiditasnya, Perusahaan telah menunjukan kinerja keuangan yang baik. Rasio aktivitas Total Asset Turn Over (TATO) perusahaan juga menggambarkan keandalan perusahaan dalam mengelola dan memanfaatkan aset yang dimilikinya. Meski demikian, sektor perikanan yang menjadi fokus perusahaan dihadapkan pada sejumlah tantangan seperti fluktuasi harga ikan, peraturan lingkungan yang lebih ketat, dan persaingan yang semakin meningkat. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PT Dharma Samudera Fishing Industries Tbk telah memiliki kinerja keuangan yang baik, meskipun beberapa aspek ekonomi perusahaan menunjukkan masih diperlukan adanya perbaikan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Kinerja keuangan, rasio keuangan, profitabilitas, likuiditas, solvabilitas.

Abstract

Abstract: This research examines the phenomenon of fear of missing out (fomo) in i-generation social interactions in social media addiction in Jorong Sawah Parik. The trigger is because of the intense interest between the i-generation and social media. The aim of this research is to describe the dynamics of FoMo, and the impact of FoMo on i-generation social interactions in social media addiction. This research uses field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles & Huberman analysis model, namely by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and concluding with effective sentences. From the field research conducted, it was found that the FoMo dynamics of the i-generation's addiction to social media in Jorong Sawah Parik occurred due to several things, namely: from the use of social media, cellular accessibility, and the intensity of social media use which caused the i-generation to experience feelings of left behind both information and other new things. Meanwhile, the impact of FoMo on i-generation varies for each informant. Judging from its positive impact, FoMo provides motivation to try new productive things, increases productivity, and makes it easier to communicate and obtain information. If viewed from the negative impact, FoMo can cause social pressure, dependence and addiction, neglect of time, decreased self-confidence, and decreased quality of direct interactions. Keywords: Fear of Missing out (FoMo), I-generation, Social Media

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of parental communication skills on the self-confidence of kindergarten children using a quantitative approach. The background of this research is rooted in the essential role of effective parental communication in shaping the psychosocial development of children, particularly in fostering self-confidence, which is crucial for children's social and academic success. The research sample consisted of parents and kindergarten children selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires designed to measure parental communication patterns and children's levels of self-confidence. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics, including simple linear regression to examine the relationship and effect of parental communication skills on children's self-confidence. The results reveal that positive, supportive communication skills characterized by democratic communication patterns have a significant positive effect on increasing children's self-confidence. Effective and empathetic communication creates a conducive environment for children to express themselves, boosting their self-esteem and social-emotional potential. The study concludes that enhancing parental communication skills is a vital strategy for family guidance and early childhood education to optimally support the development of children's self-confidence.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance students’ awareness and understanding of juvenile delinquency prevention strategies in an effort to develop a healthy and high-quality generation through the roles of family, school, and society. The activity was carried out in the form of an educational socialization program using lecture, discussion, and question-and-answer methods. The materials presented covered the definition of juvenile delinquency, its types, contributing factors, negative impacts, and prevention strategies applicable in school and family settings. The participants consisted of 29 students from Grade XII MIPA 1 at SMA Swasta Eria Medan. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding of the dangers of juvenile delinquency and the importance of self-control and positive peer environments. Active student participation during the sessions reflected a positive response to the program. The prevention strategies emphasized include strengthening character education, improving communication between students, teachers, and parents, and fostering a supportive social environment. This activity concludes that collaboration among family, school, and community plays a strategic role in reducing juvenile delinquency and shaping morally responsible and high quality youth.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting styles and children's discipline in playgroups at the Anisa Early Childhood Education Center (KB PAUD). The research background is based on the important role of parents in shaping children's discipline from an early age. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The study population was all 40 parents and children in playgroups at the Anisa Early Childhood Education Center (KB PAUD). Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale, then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that parenting styles were classified as high, with the majority of parents implementing a democratic parenting style characterized by open communication and consistent discipline. Children's discipline levels were also classified as high. The correlation test obtained an r value of 0.724 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a positive and significant relationship between parenting styles and children's discipline. Therefore, the better the parenting styles implemented by parents, the higher the children's discipline levels.
