Abstract

Prophets cannot be separated from religious missionary (dakwah) activities. And those missionary endeavors cannot be separated from diversitiy (plurality) and society (al-Mad’u). The diversity itself is universal law that will always exist and develop. Religious missionary gets challenge when faced with plurality of people. Prophet muhammad was faced with such situation when he was in Makkah as well when he was establishing new community in Madinah. Such situation was also faced by his predecessors for instance Prophet Ibrahim. So how did Ibrahim and other prophets face them, What kind of missionary method suits the plurality of society? This study is based on thematis and textolinguistic approach (‘ilm al-lughah al-nashshi) to the verses that relate to story of Ibrahim, (which spread in 25 surahs in Qur’an), from the perpective of his missionary model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas media scrapbook berbasis proyek dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis (maharah al-kitabah) siswa kelas IV MI Pembangunan UIN Jakarta. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan menulis siswa, terutama dalam mengenali bentuk huruf sambung Arab, yang salah satunya disebabkan oleh penggunaan tablet yang kurang mendukung keterampilan motorik halus. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental tipe nonequivalent control group design, melibatkan dua kelas sebagai sampel, yaitu kelas 5H (kelompok eksperimen, n=20) dan kelas 5G (kelompok kontrol, n=22). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan menulis siswa pada kelompok eksperimen, dengan rata-rata nilai posttest 82,125 dibandingkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 49,5. Uji t-test menunjukkan bahwa t hitung > t tabel, sehingga hipotesis alternatif diterima. Temuan ini didukung oleh observasi dan wawancara yang menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi dan minat belajar siswa. Media scrapbook berbasis proyek terbukti efektif dan inovatif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis bahasa Arab pada siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The history of science has a long journey. The progress of science is in line with the development of human civilization at that time. In the history of Ancient Civilizations such as Ancient Rome, Ancient Yuanani, Ancient India have given birth to very brilliant works and philosophers. The progress of science and technology today is evidence of the glory of past science. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of science in society and its development in ancient civilizations as well as the influence and contribution in the world of science today. The results showed that ancient civilizations have contributed greatly to world civilization, such as advances in science and technology, medicine, astronomy, mathematics and others. However, science in its journey experienced challenges and controversies including contradictions in religious and political beliefs but still developed to give direction to the world. And the legacy of science is a legacy of intellectual property to prepare ourselves to be more advanced in the future.

Abstract

Humans are considered to be the most perfect creatures created by God because they are given the gift of knowledge and reason. This view is reflected in Qur'anic verses, such as Surah Al-Alaq (1-5), Surah Taha (20:114), and Surah Al-Mujadalah (58:11), which emphasize the importance of reading, studying, and social cooperation. Knowledge is considered a gift from God that distinguishes humans from the rest of His creation. The Qur'an encourages people to read and pursue knowledge, conveys social ethics, and promises rewards for believers and the knowledgeable.Philosophy of science views science from various perspectives, including empiricism, rationalism, skepticism, positivism, constructivism, pragmatism, realism, idealism, naturalism, and hermeneutics. Each of these views provides a unique perspective on the sources, means and nature of knowledge. Science is categorized into natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, applied sciences, formal sciences, empirical sciences, normative sciences, and fundamental vs. applied sciences. In its historical development, science developed through the Ancient Greeks, the Middle Ages, the Modern Ages, and the Contemporary Ages. Science is colored by approaches such as empiricism, rationalism, and pragmatism. Knowledge and science are considered philosophically, with the difference between knowledge and science. Knowledge is identified with facts or information, while science demands systematization and methodology. In everyday language, the two are often equated. Understanding science plays an important role in dealing with technological advances and the challenges of the times. Philosophy of science provides a conceptual framework for understanding various approaches to acquiring knowledge, from empirical experience to normative considerations. Awareness of the importance of science and knowledge is understood as an effort to get closer to God's wisdom and enrich human life experience.

Abstract

The researcher chose this topic in response to the urgent need for a practical and portable learning tool to help students master Arabic vocabulary. This need arises due to challenges such as students’ weak vocabulary skills, which result from relying solely on school lessons, and their boredom with using large and heavy textbooks. The objectives of this research are: 1) to develop a pocket dictionary for Arabic vocabulary learning for 4th-grade students, 2) to examine its effectiveness before and after implementation, and 3) to assess the quality of the developed product. The researcher used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with both quantitative and qualitative methods, based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the pocket dictionary was effective in helping students understand and use vocabulary by presenting the words in a structured and concise format, supported by colors, symbols, and illustrations that enhance understanding and motivation. It also promotes student autonomy, as it can be used both in and outside the classroom—especially in learning environments with limited access to technology such as smartphones or the internet. Therefore, the pocket dictionary is considered an effective and comprehensive educational tool to support vocabulary learning among 4th-grade students.

Abstract

Studi ini berfokus pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran insya’ sebagai keterampilan puncak dalam bahasa Arab yang mengintegrasikan aspek linguistik, kognitif, dan afektif. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih dominannya praktik pembelajaran insya’ yang bersifat struktural dan berorientasi hafalan kaidah sehingga tujuan komunikatif belum tercapai secara optimal. Penelitian bertujuan merumuskan strategi pengembangan pembelajaran insya’ berbasis sintesis pemikiran Rasyid Ahmad Thu‘aimah dan Ali Ahmad Madkūr sebagai fondasi keterampilan produktif bahasa Arab. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan dan analisis isi terhadap karya kedua tokoh serta literatur terkait maharah kitābah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pilar latihan bermakna, komunikatif, integratif, dan bertahap menurut Thu‘aimah, jika dipadukan dengan pendekatan humanistik Madkūr yang menempatkan menulis sebagai proses kognitif–afektif dan reflektif, menghasilkan model pembelajaran insya’ yang komunikatif, kontekstual, dan berorientasi pada peserta didik. This study focuses on the development of a composition learning strategy as a peak skill in Arabic that integrates linguistic, cognitive, and affective aspects. The background of this research is the dominance of structural-based composition learning practices that focus on memorizing rules, which means communicative goals are not optimally achieved. The study aims to formulate a strategy for developing composition learning based on the synthesis of the ideas of Rasyid Ahmad Thu‘aimah and Ali Ahmad Madkūr as the foundation for productive Arabic language skills. The method used is qualitative with literature study and content analysis of the works of these two figures and related literature on maharah kitābah. The findings show that the pillars of meaningful, communicative, integrative, and gradual practice according to Thu‘aimah, when combined with Madkūr's humanistic approach that positions writing as a cognitive-affective and reflective process, result in a communicative, contextual, and learner-oriented composition learning model.

Abstract

This study was conducted at MTs Jam’iyyaul Khair, Ciputat, South Tangerang, with the aim of determining the effectiveness of using the Scramble model in improving students’ reading comprehension skills. The study was motivated by a major problem, namely the low level of students’ ability to comprehend Arabic reading texts. Based on initial observations conducted by the researcher, it was found that many students still experienced difficulties in understanding the content of reading passages. To achieve the research objectives, an experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design was employed. The research sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class taught using the Scramble model and a control class taught using conventional methods. The research instrument was a reading comprehension test, while data analysis employed the N-Gain test to measure the effectiveness of students’ reading comprehension and a t-test to determine the differences in mean scores between the two classes. The results showed that the experimental class achieved an N-Gain score of 0.50 (50.69%), which falls into the moderate category, while the control class obtained an N-Gain score of 0.22 (22.25%), categorized as low. The results of the t-test also indicated a statistically significant difference between the two classes. The researcher concluded that the Scramble model is more effective than conventional methods in improving students’ reading comprehension. Therefore, the Scramble model can be considered an alternative instructional strategy that teachers may use to enhance the quality of Arabic language learning, particularly in the area of reading comprehension.   مستخلص البحث يهدف هذا البحث الذي قامت بها الباحثة في مدرسة "جمعية الخير" المتوسطة تشيبوتات، إلى معرفة فاعلية استخدام نموذج سكرامبل في تنمية قدرة الطلاب على الفهم القرائي. وقد انطلقت الباحثة في هذا البحث من مشكلة أساسية، وهي انخفاض قدرة الطلاب على فهم النصوص القرائية باللغة العربية. فبناءً على الملاحظة الأولية التي قامت بها الباحثة، تبيّن أن كثيرا من الطلاب ما زالوا يعانون من ضعف في فهم محتوى المقروء.  ولتحقيق أهداف البحث، استخدمت الباحثة المنهج شبه التجريبي بتصميم Pretest- posttest وتصميم المجموعة الضابطة غير متكافئة  (Nonquivalent group design) واشتملت عينة البحث على المجموعتين : الصفّ التجريبي (الصفّ السابع أ) الذي خضع للتعليم باستخدام نموذج سكرامبل. والصفّ الضابط (الصفّ السابع ب) الذي خضع للتعليم التقليدي. وكانت أدة البحث اختبار الفهم القرائي، أما تحليل البيانات فاستخدم اختبار – ت واختبار N-gain لقياس فاعلية الفهم القرائي لدى الطلاب. وأظهرت نتائج تحليل بيانات اختبار N-gain ن أنّ الصفّ التجريبي حقق نسبة 0،05 ضمن الفئة المتوسطة، والصفّ الضابط نسبة 0،22 ضمن الفئة المنخفضة. وتدل هذه النتائج على أن نموذج Scramble   أحد النموذج التعليمية التي يمكن أن يستخدمها المعلمون في ترقية جودة تعليم اللغة العربية، ولا سيما في إجادة الفهم القرائي.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of using the Pop-Up Book in improving the reading skills of fourth-grade students at MI Nurul Islam Rempoa. The researcher employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design by administering pre-tests and post-tests to two groups: an experimental group that studied using the Pop-Up Book, and a control group that was taught using the audio-lingual method. The results showed a significant increase in the average score of the experimental group from 57.88 in the pre-test to 91.53 in the post-test, while the average score of the control group increased from 53.95 to only 74.17. The Mann–Whitney test also revealed statistical significance at the level of p = 0.00, indicating a substantial difference between the two groups in favor of the experimental group. The N-Gain coefficient reached 82.97%, which is considered a high level, indicating strong effectiveness. These results indicate that the Pop-Up Book is an effective and appropriate educational medium for improving Arabic reading skills.   مستخلص البحث يهدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن فعالية استخدام وسيلة الكتاب ذي ثلاثة الأبعاد Pop Up Book في ترقية مهارة القراءة باللغة العربية لدى تلاميذ الصف الرابع في مدرسة نور الإسلام الابتدائية الإسلامية ريمبووا. وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الكمي بتصميم شبه تجريبي، حيث شملت العينة مجموعتين: مجموعة تجريبية درست باستخدام الكتاب ذي الأبعاد الثلاثة، ومجموعة ضابطة درست باستخدام الطريقة السمعية الشفوية. وتم جمع البيانات من خلال الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي لقياس تحصيل التلاميذ في مهارة القراءة. وأظهرت النتائج أن متوسط درجات المجموعة التجريبية ارتفع من 57,88 في الاختبار القبلي إلى 91,53 في الاختبار البعدي، في حين ارتفع متوسط درجات المجموعة الضابطة من 53,95 إلى 74,17 فقط. كما بيّن اختبار مان–ويتني وجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا عند مستوى (p = 0.00) لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وبلغت قيمة معامل N-Gain نسبة 82,97%، وهي ضمن الفئة المرتفعة. وتشير هذه النتائج إلى أن الكتاب ذي الأبعاد الثلاثة وسيلة تعليمية فعّالة ومناسبة في تعليم مهارة القراءة باللغة العربية في المرحلة الابتدائية، كما تسهم هذه الدراسة إسهامًا عمليًا في توجيه المعلمين والمؤسسات التعليمية إلى توظيف هذه الوسيلة لزيادة دافعية التلاميذ وتحسين نتائج تعلمهم.

Abstract

Bahasa Arab memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan Islam di Indonesia sebagai bahasa agama, ilmu pengetahuan, dan komunikasi global. Sebelum era reformasi 1998, pembelajaran bahasa Arab cenderung bersifat tradisional, terpusat, dan berorientasi pada penguasaan gramatika. Reformasi pendidikan membawa perubahan signifikan melalui desentralisasi, pembaruan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi, peningkatan profesionalisme guru, serta integrasi teknologi digital. Dampaknya terlihat pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab di madrasah yang semakin komunikatif, kontekstual, dan didukung regulasi kurikulum nasional, serta di sekolah umum melalui muatan lokal dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Meskipun masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan, era reformasi secara umum telah mendorong pembelajaran bahasa Arab menjadi lebih modern, adaptif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan abad ke-21.
