Abstract

This study aims to predict potential declines in students' Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) in higher grades (4th, 5th, and 6th) by analyzing their cognitive, affective, and psychomotor scores from lower grades (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). Using a quantitative research method, various machine learning algorithms were applied, including Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Support Vector Machines (SVM), and Neural Networks. The dataset comprised students' scores across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains from the lower grades. After training and comparing the models, the Neural Network algorithm demonstrated the best performance, achieving 89% accuracy and 100% recall. These results indicate that the model can help teachers identify students at risk of struggling with KKM standards in higher grades, enabling early interventions. The study concludes that Neural Networks offer a promising tool for early detection of academic challenges in elementary education.

Abstract

Low cultural literacy among the younger generation, particularly in relation to the local wisdom of Tolitoli, which is beginning to deteriorate, calls for innovative contextual and interactive learning models. This study examines the effect of applying a discovery learning model supported by Wayground multimedia on the cultural literacy level of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Nalu. The methodological approach adopted was quasi-experimental, applying a non-equivalent control group design, in which the research participants included 34 students distributed into two categories, namely the experimental group and the control group. The data collection mechanism was carried out through test instruments (including pre-tests and post-tests) supplemented by observations of learning activities. Data analysis revealed a substantial escalation of cultural literacy in the experimental group, which recorded a post-test average of 88.88 and an N-Gain score of 0.66 (moderate criteria); this achievement exceeded that of the control group, which only obtained an average of 70.12 with an N-Gain of 0.019 (low criteria). Furthermore, hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney U test showed a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating rejection of the null hypothesis. Thus, it can be concluded that the integration of the Wayground multimedia-based discovery learning model has a significant effect in boosting students' Tolitoli cultural literacy, while also proving effective in creating a participatory learning climate and offering innovative solutions for cultural value preservation efforts at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study examines the suboptimal comprehensive understanding of the implementation of the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) Program at the elementary school level, particularly from the perspectives of teachers and students. The aim of the study is to explore the dynamics of program acceptance, benefits, and challenges within the context of SDN 16 Biau. The method employed is qualitative with an exploratory study approach, involving the principal, teachers, and students as research subjects through interviews, observations, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that, from the teachers’ perspective, the MBG program reflects a relatively effective adaptation process, supports the achievement of learning objectives, and is integrated into school activities, although latency in the form of technical constraints remains. From the students’ perspective, the program contributes to the fulfillment of physiological needs, a sense of safety, social interaction, esteem, and self-actualization. The level of program acceptance is considered positive with tangible benefits, despite challenges related to distribution and implementation consistency. These findings underscore the importance of continuous evaluation and strengthening of program management. The implication is that MBG has the potential to serve as a strategic intervention in enhancing students’ well-being and the overall quality of learning in a holistic manner.
