Abstract

Now, people can connect with each other and with others around the world through the virtual world, in addition to using devices. Despite the current economic downturn, SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) are predicted to boost the economy. The implementation of digital technology-based marketing strategies, or digital marketing, offers potential for SMEs to grow into a significant economic force. To maximize profits, SME actors work with distribution and promotion channels based on digital platforms. Currently, almost all SMEs—including fast food companies and restaurants—use digital marketing-based promotional and distribution channels. Through the idea of empowering the people's economy, this research focuses on exploring the function of digital marketing as a marketing strategy for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This approach is a necessary adaptation for SMEs to thrive in the era of Industry 4.0 and ultimately become superior SMEs

Abstract

This study examines the application of Lev Vygotsky's theory, particularly the concepts of Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and scaffolding, in language learning in early elementary school classes. Language skills are a crucial aspect of children's cognitive development, with social interaction playing a key role in the learning process. A qualitative research method was employed, involving first and second-grade students and language teachers as subjects. Data were collected through observations, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. The findings indicate that the implementation of ZPD and scaffolding effectively enhances children's language skills, increases motivation, and strengthens social interactions. Teachers act as scaffolders, providing appropriate support to help students learn. In conclusion, applying Vygotsky's theory in language learning in early elementary education can bolster children's language abilities, build confidence, and support social development.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the question-and-answer method in improving student participation in science learning in Class III of SD N 40/I Bajubang Laut. The background of this study was the low level of student participation in science learning, which was still dominated by the lecture method, causing students to become passive and less involved in the learning process. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 20 students, including 8 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the question-and-answer method significantly improved student participation. The average student participation increased from 30.9% in the pre-cycle stage to 53.6% in Cycle I and further increased to 81.8% in Cycle II. In addition, student learning mastery also improved from 35.4% in the pre-cycle stage to 85.4% in Cycle II. The findings indicate that the structured implementation of the question-and-answer method, accompanied by the use of simple questions, think time, reinforcement, and concrete media, was effective in creating active, interactive, and meaningful science learning. Therefore, the question-and-answer method can be used as an alternative teaching method to improve student participation and learning outcomes in elementary school science learning
