Abstract

Abstract

Teeth and mouth are the first part of the digestive system, where germs and bacteria can enter and cause health problems. Teeth are also part of the body. Tooth decay can affect the health of other body parts, which can disrupt daily activities. Brushing your teeth plays a very important role in preventing the development of bacteria that can cause tooth decay. Therefore, effective educational efforts are needed to care for teeth by brushing your teeth at least twice a day at the right time, in the morning after breakfast and at night before bed. The behavior of eating sticky and sweet foods can affect the occurrence of tooth decay. One method that is considered effective is education that can increase knowledge about how to brush your teeth properly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of providing education on how to brush your teeth properly and correctly to increase the knowledge of elementary school children. This study used a quasi-experimental research method (Quasi Experimental Design), a pre-experimental design with a pre-post design Single group that is quantitative. The population in this study was 55 people. The research sample was 35 people using the Slovin formula with a margin of error (0.1). with a significance level of p <0.05.

Abstract

Background: Sleep quality is one of the risk factors that influences the incidence of hypertension. Cold pressure test (CPT) is considered to have the potential that can be used as an evaluation in predicting the incidence of hypertension in the future. This study aims to determine the correlation between sleep quality and the interpretation of the CPT in medical faculty students class of 2022 at Tadulako University. Methods: This study uses a quasi-experimental, with one group pretest-posttest research design. In this sudy there is no control group. Samples were taken by total sampling technique with a total of 125 samples. The data collection method used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire to measure sleep quality and cold pressure test (CPT) to predict the risk of hypertension. Results: Based on the Spearman rank correlation test, the correlation coefficient is negative, which is -,007, which means the relationship between the two variables is not unidirectional, that means, the worse the sleep quality, the more hyperreactive the CPT interpretation. In this study, significance value correlation (p value) is 0,94. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between sleep quality and cold pressure test (CPT) interpretation in medical students class of 2022 at Tadulako University.

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus with Aedes aegypti as the main vector. Diseases (DHF) can cause death and cases tend to fluctuate from year to year in Indonesia, including Palu City. Therefore, we carry out community service for the prevention of DHF in Palu City. As for the activities that we carried out in the form of distributing questionnaires, educating the community around the final waste disposal site in the Kawatuna village. The education we provide is the eradication of mosquito nests through the application of 3M Plus, including draining water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs, recycling used goods that can potentially become mosquito breeding grounds. In addition to education, we also provide mosquito repellent lotion for use during the day.The service that we have done can make the community around the final waste disposal site aware of the importance of preventing dengue fever and can be seen from the enthusiasm of relevant stakeholders and the local community.
