Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect prospective students' decision to choose a campus and identify management strategies that can optimize student admissions at STAI Al-Muntahy. The research method used was a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design. Survey and interview data collection techniques. Surveys are used to measure public awareness and interest in institutions. Meanwhile, interviews are used to explain further from the survey results obtained. The findings of this study show several main factors that affect their decision, such as relevant study programs, affordable education costs, and the quality of academic and non-academic services. In addition, innovative, data-based promotions and strengthening the campus's external network also play an important role in attracting the interest of prospective students. The results of this study lead to five main strategies that can be applied to increase new student admissions, namely: (1) more flexible adjustment of education fees, (2) strengthening internal organizations and external campus networks, (3) more targeted and data-driven promotions, (4) improving the quality of academic and non-academic services, and (5) increasing the involvement of alums and the surrounding community. Implementing these strategies is expected to strengthen the image of the campus, increase student satisfaction, and increase the number of new student registrations in the future.

Abstract

Organisational development is an activity that continues to be carried out by all organisational settings. The purpose of organisational development is to improve the effectiveness of organisational performance. So that the quality of education can be maximised. This research method uses a literature review to conduct an in-depth study, which departs from the mini-observation at UNLA. The sources used in this literature review research are sourced from literature reviews using google scholar applications, mendeley and other online academic applications (Yandi et al., 2023). The findings of this study have two main themes, namely first, the role of organisational development in improving the quality of education is carried out through structural change, innovation in educational management, conducting human resource development and working with partnerships. Second, organisational development strategies in an effort to improve the quality of education are by adopting a data-based approach, promoting a culture of innovation and creativity, and making full use of information technology. There are still many shortcomings in this study, therefore further researchers are needed to further deepen this research.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan sebuah proses pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kebiasaan yang diturunkan dari generasi sebelumnya ke generasi berikutnya. Kompetensi guru di Indonesia pada saat ini masih rendah. Dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya yaitu seperti akses guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensinya melalui pemenuhan kualifikasi akademik terhambat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru sehingga dapat mencapai mutu dan kualitas pendidikan di negara Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu literature review untuk mengkaji dan mengulas secara mendalam hasil-hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan sesuai dengan pokok bahasan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu ada empat pokok bahasan. 1) Indikator rendahnya kompetensi guru yaitu penguasaan materi pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, serta dilakukan evaluasi dan asesmen. 2) Adapun faktor rendahnya kompetensi guru antara lain kualitas pendidikan guru, kurangnya pelatihan dan pengembangan, kuragnya motivasi dan kesejahteraan guru serta siswa, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana pendukung terutama pada daerah tertinggal. 3) Dampaknya terhadap mutu pendidikan di Indonesia adalah penurunan kualitas pembelajaran, prestasi akademik, kesenjangan pendidikan, dan motivasi siswa. 4) Strategi Pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru di Indonesia yaitu peningkatan pelatihan dan sertifikasi guru, reformasi sistem rekruitmen guru, peningkatan kolaborasi guru, peningkatan akses teknologi, kolaborasi dengan institusi pendidikan tinggi, serta memberikan insentif dan apresiasi bagi guru yang berprestasi.
