Abstract

The ideology of religious radicalism poses a serious threat that can disrupt social peace, particularly for the younger generation who are more vulnerable to being exposed to radical ideas. Religious radicalization, as a form of extremism, has the potential to disturb interfaith harmony and create social tensions. Therefore, preventing the spread of this ideology is crucial, one of which can be achieved through the involvement of Christian youth in utilizing social media. Social media has become a highly effective platform for spreading various types of information, both positive and harmful. As such, Christian youth play a very important role in addressing this threat. This research aims to examine the contribution of Christian youth in preventing the spread of religious radicalism ideology through social media. The approach used is qualitative with a literature study, where data is obtained from various relevant scholarly sources. The results of the study show that Christian youth can use social media as a tool to spread messages of peace, tolerance, and inclusivity. This is important in fostering harmony amidst religious diversity in Indonesia. Christian youth can play an active role by correcting the misconceptions often propagated by radical groups. By spreading positive and constructive messages, Christian youth can help society become more discerning in filtering information, thus reducing the potential spread of hatred. Through their involvement on social media, Christian youth have significant potential in strengthening interfaith harmony and creating a more peaceful and harmonious social environment.

Abstract

The information technology revolution has drastically changed the world of education, especially in the context of learning evaluation. The implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers an innovative solution to replace traditional assessment methods that are often unable to measure student competencies comprehensively. With real-time data analysis capabilities, AI can provide more personalized and adaptive assessments, helping students understand their learning process better. This study aims to explore the impact of AI on educational evaluation, identify benefits and challenges, and recommend best practices for AI integration. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive analytical approach, collecting various relevant studies to support the analysis. The results of the study indicate that AI has the potential to revolutionize the education evaluation system in Indonesia by increasing the accuracy and efficiency of assessments. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and lack of educator competence remain a concern. Therefore, collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and industry is needed to create an adaptive and responsive learning ecosystem. With the right investment in AI technology, the future of learning evaluation is expected to be more accurate and effective, preparing students to face challenges in the digital economy era.

Abstract

The increase in women's participation in the workforce has a significant impact on early childhood parenting patterns and the dynamics of household life. This research aims to analyze how career women apply parenting styles to young children and how this affects child development and the balance of home life. The study uses a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, starting with a quantitative approach followed by a qualitative approach. The goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the parenting styles of career women, early childhood development, and household life. The research population includes career women who have young children at the GMIT Horeb Perumnas Congregation in Kupang City. The research results show that although career women face time limitations, they tend to adopt a democratic parenting style supported by caregivers or partners. Child development can remain optimal if communication patterns and emotional involvement are maintained. However, challenges arise in terms of emotional closeness and quality time. Therefore, adaptive strategies and family support are needed to maintain a balance between career and maternal roles.

Abstract

This study analyzes the symbolic meaning of the 2025 Easter Parade in Kupang City using a symbolic interactionist approach, with a central focus on the cross as a primary symbol. The cross is not only understood as a sacred religious emblem but also as a medium of social communication whose meaning is dynamically constructed through interactions between parade participants, spectators, and particularly the actors portraying the figure of Jesus. These social interactions allow for the reinterpretation of the symbol’s meaning based on cultural contexts and participants' experiences. The findings reveal that deviant behavior exhibited by some actors portraying Jesus created a dissonance between the ideal meaning of Christ’s suffering and the actual performance displayed during the parade. This mismatch caused cognitive dissonance among viewers and had the potential to distort the intended spiritual message of the symbol. The incident underscores the importance of actors' awareness of the sacred nature of the symbol and the necessity for responsible and contextually appropriate representations in public rituals. The study also emphasizes that religious symbols are fluid and do not possess fixed or absolute meanings. Instead, they are subject to redefinition based on individual and collective experiences, cultural backgrounds, and public perceptions. Within the context of the Easter Parade, the cross becomes a performative medium that reflects the values, beliefs, and social dynamics of the diverse society in Kupang. This research employs a mixed-methods approach by integrating both quantitative and qualitative data to provide a more comprehensive understanding. Quantitative data offers general insights into audience perceptions of the symbolic performance, while qualitative data explores deeper layers of symbolic meaning and the sociocultural implications that arise. Overall, this study contributes to the discourse on religion, symbolism, and public ritual by highlighting the importance of intentionality, appropriate representation, and cultural sensitivity in maintaining the sacredness of religious symbols in dynamic and pluralistic public spaces
