Abstract

Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan Authentic, Kemampuan Komunikasi, Keterbukaan  AbstractOrganizations in schools, particularly in the field of educational services, are increasingly evolving alongside Indonesia's economic growth. This has also led to intensified competition in the education sector, where many private schools share similar goals: to enhance national education while generating profit through the management of educational services. This study aims to examine the role of authentic leadership as an exogenous variable, commuciation skill endogenous variable, and openness as a moderating variable. Data were collected using questionnaires to private schools, involving 200 respondents who met the criteria of teachers with over five years of experience. The research employed a descriptive quantitative design and a cross-sectional approach. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The findings reveal that authentic leadership does not significantly influence communication skills, even with openness acting as a moderatorp. The study highlights that while leadership plays a critical role in enhancing communication skills, openness does not significantly contribute. This is attributed to the lack of understanding by leaders, particularly principals, about the organization, which affects the development and utilization of teachers' potential to achieve the organization's vision and mission, as well as its future growth. Keywords: Authentic Leadership, Communication Skills, Openness

Abstract

This study investigates the challenges construction sector companies face due to market disruptions and the lack of innovation, with a specific focus on PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA), a leading Indonesian construction firm. Drawing on Kodak's failure as a cautionary example of the risks of neglecting technological advancements, the research underscores the critical need for companies to remain adaptable and ready to innovate to address evolving customer demands. In response to a significant financial loss of IDR 7.13 trillion in 2023, WIKA implemented cost-saving measures, including workforce restructuring and halting recruitment. Despite these setbacks, the company showcased resilience by initiating innovative projects, such as electric motorcycles and precast concrete technologies, contributing to its recovery. The research emphasizes WIKA's initiatives to cultivate employee readiness for change through programs like Wikasatrian and technology skills development. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach, the study surveyed 233 managers and directors from government-owned construction firms (BUMN), employing instruments to measure readiness for change, psychological capital, and job security. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) confirmed that psychological capital plays a critical mediating role between job security and readiness to change. Findings reveal that job security significantly impacts readiness to change, with psychological capital acting as a strong mediator. The study highlights the importance of investing in psychological resources to foster adaptability, particularly in sectors undergoing technological and organizational transformations. The model demonstrated strong validity, with fit indices including GFI (0.90), CFI (0.98), TLI (0.97), NFI (0.97), and RMSEA (0.09), affirming its robustness and providing valuable insights into the public construction sector, an area often underexplored in previous research.

Abstract

Indonesia as the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation, faces a growing ideological contest between National Islam a locally rooted, moderate, and inclusive form of Islam and Transnational Islam, which promotes a more conservative and globalized religious orientation. This study explores the dynamics of this ideological struggle and its implications for Indonesia’s socio-political stability and national security. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with library research methods, the paper analyzes the ideological differences, conflict patterns, and state as well as civil society interventions in managing tensions between these two streams. The findings show that Transnational Islam, represented by movements such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Hizbut Tahrir, and Salafi groups, often challenges Indonesia’s foundational ideology of Pancasila and promotes exclusivism that threatens social cohesion. Meanwhile, National Islam embodied by Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah emphasizes moderation, cultural adaptation, and democracy, acting as a stabilizing force. The ideological clash manifests not only in theological debates but also in education, politics, and public discourse, sometimes escalating into violence and terrorism. Applying Social Identity Theory, Social Conflict Theory, and Coser’s Functional Theory of Conflict, this study concludes that religious identity, power struggles, and group dynamics collectively shape the conflict landscape. Effective conflict intervention requires the synergy of state policies, moderate religious movements, and community-based dialogue to promote religious moderation and maintain national unity.

Abstract

The government's efforts to handle armed group activities often result in casualties. Resolving the dynamic conflicts in Papua requires synergy among relevant parties such as state institutions, ministries, and experts in their respective fields. Resolving conflicts in Papua is a form of implementing the concept of national security. This research will examine the relationship between conflict intervention and conflict resolution in Papua, which influences the formulation of Papua conflict intervention designs aimed at building conflict resolution and peace. The method used in this research is qualitative research, with the conflict in Papua as the object of study through the collection of empirical and theoretical literature analyzed to build resolution and peace. Peace in Papua can be achieved through conflict management processes consisting of conflict de-escalation, humanitarian intervention and political negotiation, problem-solving approaches, and peacebuilding. Abstract
