Abstract

Corruption and abuse of authority are serious problems in various sectors, including in Human Resources Management (HRM). Unethical actions such as bribery, nepotism and data manipulation can damage the integrity of an organization and reduce public trust in the institution. This article examines the relevance of the concept of jinayah in Islamic law to preventing corruption and abuse of authority in HRM. The concept of jinayah, which includes criminal acts that harm society, teaches basic principles such as justice ('adl), trust (honesty), and accountability (mas'uliyyah). The application of these principles in HRM can prevent corrupt practices and abuse of authority by enforcing appropriate morals and laws. Through an approach based on Islamic ethics, this article shows how fair, transparent and responsible human resource management can be established by utilizing the concept of jinayah as a guide. In this context, preventing corruption and abuse of authority does not only require a legal approach, but also a moral approach that is able to uphold justice and integrity in the organization.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of green financing  principles in mosque financial management from the perspectives of mosque administrators and congregants. In a global context increasingly emphasizing the importance of environmental sustainability, mosques as centers of social and spiritual activities have significant potential to contribute to environmental preservation efforts through the adoption of green financing . This qualitative research employs in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) with mosque administrators and congregants in several mosques in Indonesia. The findings indicate that understanding of green financing  among administrators and congregants varies, but there is a growing awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly financial practices. Mosque administrators identify several key challenges in implementing green financing , including limited resources, lack of technical support, and resistance to change. On the other hand, congregants express enthusiasm for supporting environmental initiatives but require further education on the concepts and benefits of green financing . The study concludes that the successful implementation of green financing  principles in mosque financial management requires a holistic approach that includes capacity building for administrators, active participation of congregants, and collaboration with Islamic financial institutions and the government. These findings are expected to inform the development of policies and programs that support sustainable mosque financial management.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, but the adoption of sustainability principles remains low. Green financing offers a solution to support environmentally friendly projects that can enhance the economic and environmental sustainability of MSMEs in Medan City. This study employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and document studies. Data were collected from MSME owners in Medan City and analyzed using triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the research findings. The study found that awareness and understanding of green financing among MSME actors are still low. Access to green financing is also limited due to stringent requirements and complicated procedures. However, MSMEs that successfully accessed green financing reported significant economic and environmental benefits, including operational cost efficiency and carbon emission reductions. The main challenges in implementing green financing are the lack of technical support and skills among MSME actors. Green financing has great potential to improve the sustainability of MSMEs in Medan City, but further efforts are needed to enhance accessibility and understanding. The government and financial institutions play a key role in providing supportive policies and special financing programs. Intensive education and socialization are necessary to raise awareness about the benefits of green financing. Collaboration between the government, financial institutions, and NGOs is crucial to creating an ecosystem that supports the sustainable development of MSMEs.

Abstract

Changes in work patterns due to digitalization and the pandemic have encouraged service companies, including online delivery services, to adopt a hybrid work model. In Mandailing Natal, this model presents challenges such as limited infrastructure, team coordination, and dynamic market demand. Therefore, adaptive management strategies are required to maintain optimal performance. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with managers, couriers, and customers from three online delivery service companies in Mandailing Natal. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that adaptive management strategies in the hybrid work model are implemented through three main steps: (1) adjusting the work structure between online and offline, (2) providing flexibility in scheduling and courier work rotation, and (3) utilizing digital technology for monitoring and communication. In addition, local factors such as geographical conditions and consumer habits are key considerations in adapting these strategies. Adaptive management strategies have been proven to improve operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction in online delivery services in Mandailing Natal. The adaptively managed hybrid work model is not only a solution to changing business environments but can also serve as a sustainable work pattern for digital-based services in regions with infrastructural limitations.
