Abstract

Systematic studies that comprehensively assess the quality of a single transformable fashion design remain limited, particularly within the context of student experimental projects, while contemporary fashion demands designs that are adaptive, aesthetic, and sustainable. This research aims to describe the quality of Illuvè as a transformable fashion design within the framework of contemporary aesthetics. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach, with Illuvè serving as the research object and expert panelists, as well as trained panelists, as subjects. The quality of the fashion design was evaluated based on five indicators: design, aesthetics, sewing technique, performance, and uniqueness. The results show that Illuvè’s quality falls into the highly feasible category, with an overall average score of 96% from both expert and trained panelists. The highest score was achieved in the uniqueness indicator at 98%, while the lowest was in the sewing technique indicator at 95%. The evaluation further indicates that both Look 1 and Look 2 are equally categorized as highly feasible, with the transformation system successfully maintaining structural stability, aesthetics, and functionality. The novelty of this research lies in its evaluation of the quality of a single transformable fashion design as an individual object through structured product quality indicators. The findings provide academic implications by strengthening studies on the evaluation of transformable fashion design quality, as well as practical implications for fashion designers in developing adaptive transformable designs without compromising visual and construction quality.

Abstract

The development of the fashion industry in the digital age has encouraged the incorporation of interactive technology into contemporary fashion design. This study aims to (1) describe the design process of contemporary fashion of Nara Sela and (2) analyze its quality through the application of interactive features based on QR codes. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the PPE (Planning, Production, and Evaluation) development model. Data were collected through observation sheets involving five expert panelists and twenty trained panelists and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results of the study show that 1) Nara Sela fashion design integrates QR codes as an integral design element rather than just serving as an information label. Digital content accessed through QR codes includes design concept narratives, fashion visuals, and photo and video documentation, which adds value by enhancing the user experience. 2) the results of the evaluation show that the quality of Nara Sela's fashion is categorized as very feasible based on aspects of design, aesthetics, sewing techniques, performance, and uniqueness. These findings have implications for the development of fashion education and digital fashion, particularly in promoting innovation in contemporary fashion that integrates aesthetic values with interactive user experiences.

Abstract

Systematic studies of the quality of contemporary men's fashion are still limited, especially those that place a single piece of fashion as a single object based on the concept of Neo Eco and local culture, while the fashion industry demands aesthetic, functional, and sustainable work. This study aims to describe the quality of Gatra Rahayu men's clothing in the theme Neo Eco Kretek Kudus as a representation of contemporary aesthetics based on local culture. The quantitative descriptive approach was used with Gatra Rahayu as the object of research as well as expert panelists and trained panelists as subjects. Fashion quality assessment is carried out using instruments that are compiled based on five main aspects, namely design, aesthetics, sewing and finishing techniques, performance or overall appearance, and uniqueness. The data was analyzed using a descriptive percentage technique. The results of the study show that the quality of Gatra Rahayu Fashion is in the very decent category with an overall percentage of 93%, with the uniqueness indicator as the highest aspect of 96% supported by woven details as a visual identity. These findings show that Gatra Rahayu fashion has excellent quality as a unique sustainable fashion product. Academically, this research enriches the study of evaluation of the quality of men's clothing based on a single work, while practically having implications as a reference for the creation of quality and sustainable men's clothing.

Abstract

The beauty industry has experienced substantial growth in recent years, driven by increasing public awareness of personal care and appearance. This condition has intensified competition among business actors, thereby requiring adaptive and strategically grounded management practices. This study aims to analyze the business management strategies of the beauty salon “Nyalon by Inner” through the integration of literature review and empirical findings derived from field observations. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through direct observation and semi-structured interviews with the salon owner. The analysis is conducted by relating empirical findings to relevant theoretical frameworks in business management literature. The results indicate that the success of salon management is influenced by several key factors, including service quality, the optimization of digital marketing strategies, service innovation, and effective human resource management. Furthermore, the utilization of social media as a promotional tool has proven to significantly enhance business visibility and customer acquisition. These findings suggest that the integration of theoretically grounded management practices with the strategic use of digital technology constitutes a critical determinant in sustaining competitiveness within the beauty salon industry. Industri kecantikan menunjukkan perkembangan yang signifikan seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap perawatan diri dan penampilan. Kondisi tersebut mendorong intensitas persaingan antar pelaku usaha, sehingga diperlukan pengelolaan bisnis yang adaptif dan berbasis strategi yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengelolaan usaha salon kecantikan “Nyalon by Inner” melalui integrasi kajian literatur dan temuan empiris dari observasi lapangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi langsung dan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan pemilik usaha. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengaitkan temuan lapangan dengan konsep-konsep manajemen bisnis yang relevan dalam literatur ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pengelolaan salon dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor utama, yaitu kualitas pelayanan, optimalisasi pemasaran digital, inovasi layanan, serta pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang efektif. Selain itu, pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi terbukti berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan visibilitas usaha dan jumlah pelanggan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa sinergi antara penerapan prinsip manajemen bisnis berbasis teori dan adaptasi terhadap perkembangan teknologi digital menjadi faktor krusial dalam meningkatkan daya saing usaha salon kecantikan. Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of information technology in education encourages the use of digital media that can enhance the effectiveness of learning. However, there is a limitation in the teaching materials for the graduation haircut technique that does not yet support optimal visualization of the practice. Such a situation results in obstacles faced by students in understanding the sequence of hair cutting steps accurately and systematically. This research is designed to outline the stages of developing a flipbook-based e-module and to evaluate the feasibility and practicality of the resulting media. The method used in this research is Research and Development with the 4D development model as its framework. As many as 12 students from the XI Beauty Skin and Hair class were involved as subjects in the product trial. Data were collected thru two main instruments, namely validation sheets from experts and student response questionnaires, which were then processed and analyzed using percentage analysis techniques. The research results reveal that the developed e-module received validation ratings from media experts and subject matter experts with a classification of very feasible. Meanwhile, the responses given by the students toward the e-module were categorized as very practical. Based on these two findings, the flipbook-based e-module is deemed suitable for implementation as a learning medium for the hair trimming material using the graduated technique. ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi informasi dalam pendidikan mendorong pemanfaatan media digital yang mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Namun ditemukan adanya keterbatasan bahan ajar pada pembelajaran pemangkasan rambut teknik graduasi yang belum mendukung visualisasi praktik secara optimal. Situasi demikian berdampak pada munculnya hambatan yang dialami peserta didik dalam memahami alur langkah kerja pemangkasan rambut secara tepat dan sistematis. Adapun penelitian ini dirancang untuk memaparkan tahapan pengembangan e-modul berbasis flipbook serta mengevaluasi tingkat kelayakan dan kepraktisan media yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development dengan model pengembangan 4D sebagai kerangka acuannya. Sebanyak 12 peserta didik kelas XI Tata Kecantikan Kulit dan Rambut dilibatkan sebagai subjek dalam pelaksanaan uji coba produk. Data dikumpulkan melalui dua instrumen utama, yaitu lembar validasi dari para ahli dan angket respons peserta didik, yang kemudian diolah dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis persentase. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan memperoleh penilaian validasi dari ahli media dan ahli materi dengan klasifikasi sangat layak. Sementara itu, respons yang diberikan oleh peserta didik terhadap e-modul tersebut berada dalam kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan kedua temuan tersebut, e-modul berbasis flipbook dinyatakan layak untuk diimplementasikan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi pemangkasan rambut teknik graduasi.
