Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality and Instagram marketing strategies on purchasing decisions for bouquets at Yourdayflower Bouquet, Bangkinang Kota District. The data collection methods used in this study are questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively using multiple linear regression tests. Based on the partial test results (T-test), Instagram marketing strategies have a significant influence on bouquet purchasing decisions at Yourdayflower Bouquet. Meanwhile, the simultaneous test results (F-test) indicate that product quality and Instagram marketing strategies collectively impact purchasing decisions. The findings of this study confirm that both product quality and digital marketing strategies through Instagram play a crucial role in increasing consumer attraction and influencing their decision to purchase bouquets at Yourdayflower Bouquet. Therefore, optimizing digital marketing strategies and improving product quality can be strategic steps to enhance sales

Abstract

In the face of rapid economic and technological change, building a robust partnership ecosystem is essential to ensure inclusive and sustainable development, particularly in regions with strong resource-based economies such as Riau Province, Indonesia. As the largest palm oil–producing region in the country, Riau plays a pivotal role in Indonesia's agricultural landscape. However, its significant economic growth—mainly driven by the palm oil industry—has not translated into equitable outcomes for rural communities, especially smallholder farmers and the sustainability of education for farmers' children. This study aims to develop an integrated framework that strengthens multi-stakeholder partnerships to foster innovation and empower farmers based on regional potential. The research adopts foresight methodology and system dynamics to model strategic scenarios. Data were analyzed through horizon scanning, focus group discussions, and simulation techniques. The results highlight persistent gaps in employment absorption, rural unemployment, and limited access to innovation and vocational training. Over half of surveyed enterprises indicated plans to enhance digital infrastructure and adopt artificial intelligence (AI). The study concludes that inclusive partnerships, vocational education aligned with industrial needs, and technology adoption are key to empowering farmers, diversifying the economy, and enhancing regional resilience.

Abstract

Pendidikan vokasi berperan penting dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja yang kompeten dan siap menghadapi tantangan industri. Kegiatan Business Matching and Public Discussion merupakan upaya strategis untuk memperkuat kelembagaan vokasi melalui kemitraan dengan dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI). Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan oleh Tim Penguatan Ekosistem Kemitraan Vokasi Provinsi Riau, yang terdiri dari Politeknik Bengkalis, Politeknik Caltex Riau, dan Politeknik Kampar, pada Selasa, 9 Juli 2024, bertempat di Gedung Serba Guna Politeknik Caltex Riau, Pekanbaru. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah membangun jejaring kemitraan antara lembaga vokasi dan industri, mengidentifikasi kebutuhan tenaga kerja, serta menyelaraskan kurikulum vokasi dengan tuntutan pasar kerja. Rangkaian kegiatan meliputi sesi pembukaan, pemaparan dari dunia industri, diskusi panel, serta penandatanganan nota kesepahaman (MoU) antara industri dan lembaga vokasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi antara vokasi dan industri dapat mempercepat implementasi program magang, rekrutmen tenaga kerja, serta peningkatan kualitas lulusan vokasi. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan serupa perlu dilakukan secara berkala guna memastikan kesinambungan kerja sama yang lebih erat antara pendidikan vokasi dan dunia industri dalam rangka meningkatkan daya saing tenaga kerja Indonesia khususnya di Provinsi Riau.

Abstract

Fruit waste poses significant environmental and socioeconomic challenges, particularly in agricultural countries such as Indonesia. This study presents the development of an integrated system to convert fruit biomass waste into bio-energy briquettes using a pyrolyzer, disc mill, cylindrical oven, and hydraulic press. Pyrolysis was conducted at 350–500°C under limited oxygen, producing solid carbon, bio-oil, and syngas. The carbonized material was then milled, sieved, dried, and compacted into high-density briquettes. Laboratory characterization using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (FESEM-EDS), and bomb calorimetry revealed a carbon content of approximately 82.5% and an average calorific value of 5,800 kcal/kg with a moisture content of 9.4%, indicating high energy potential and good mechanical stability. The system achieved a production capacity of 300–500 kg/day, making it suitable for small-scale, community-based renewable energy applications. The results confirm the technical feasibility and economic viability of the integrated system while supporting rural energy independence and local economic development. Future work should focus on system automation and exploring diverse biomass feedstocks for broader implementation.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of residents in Babussalam Village, Rokan Hulu Regency, in processing fruit waste into environmentally friendly energy through simple pyrolysis technology. The activity addresses the abundance of unutilized fruit waste that potentially causes environmental pollution. Conducted on October 30, 2025, with 20 participants from the local community and BUMDes Babussalam, the activity employed participatory methods including socialization, technical training, and ongoing mentoring. Results showed an 85% understanding level of renewable energy, based on pre-test and post-test evaluations improving from 45% to 85%. Participants successfully produced bio-oil and activated charcoal through direct pyrolysis practice using equipment developed from applied research. A village working group was also established under BUMDes Babussalam coordination to develop self-sufficient energy initiatives. The activity proves that integrating applied research, appropriate technology, and community participation creates an effective model for community-based energy empowerment, supporting national energy security and Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 7 on clean energy and Goal 11 on sustainable communities.
