Abstract

Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises or UMKM are a category of small-scale businesses that are believed to be able to contribute to the economy of Kampar Regency. UMKM as a means to create the private sector so that the development of UMKM plays an important role in economic development. According to Law No. 9 of 1995, coaching and development is an effort made by the government, the business world and the community through the provision of guidance and reinforcement assistance to grow and improve the ability of small businesses to become strong and independent businesses and can develop into medium-sized businesses. The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of UMKM in Kampar Regency. The population is UMKM actors and UMKM consumers, the research sample is 98 UMKM actors and 96 UMKM consumers. This research uses the SWOT method. The results show that the SWOT strategy is very helpful for developing UMKM. Keywords— UMKM, Development, SWOT

Abstract

Digital marketing has grown very rapidly since the high use of the internet. This level of use is triggered by the presence of smartphones at very affordable prices. But the use of digital marketing is not widely realized by business people, especially SMEs in Kampar Regency. Most SMEs in this city think that digital marketing is a place for transactions to occur, this is very different from the actual meaning of digital marketing. Social media used for digital marketing is not only focused on social media that is intentionally created for SMEs, but also social media owned by employees or employees of these SMEs. So that product marketing has a wider reach, and thus product sales from SMEs in Kampar Regency also increase.

Abstract

Currently, MSME stakeholders are facing problems in selling their products as they often focus too much on the production process and do not balance marketing and advertising. When a product is produced in large quantities, it becomes difficult to sell quickly. Advertising is usually done by word of mouth or by displaying products in local stores. Efforts to overcome MSME marketing include providing training to his MSME stakeholders through digitization. Digitization of MSME is an attempt by an MSME subject to digitize the marketing of his MSME products. Simply put, it makes it easier for business people to sell their products online in an increasingly demanding technology age. One of his ways to digitize MSME product marketing is with the Canva application. Canva is an online design program that offers video, image or photo editing, graphic design and more. The service activities conducted are intended to provide insight into the use of social media by MSMEs in conducting promotions and creating engaging and easy-to-implement product content. Training will also be provided to MSMEs in Kebun Durian Village to utilize the results of MSMEs in promoting digital technology. Up to 34 trainees were able to create mockups and logo designs using his Canva application as an advertising medium to increase the sales value of their MSME products.

Abstract

Problems that often occur in urban areas are business competition and lack of attractive marketing by MSMEs. In urban areas, there are many MSMEs but only a few are able to take advantage of digital marketing. In fact, digital marketing activities such as creating logos, product photos and promotions in the marketplace can have a positive impact on society. Apart from that, urban communities also often face the problem of a lack of creative ideas in product marketing. Digital Marketing is a solution for MSMEs to carry out digital marketing, even though they are hampered by the use of editing applications and social media. This limitation does not make MSMEs players give up on sales. They can do marketing via WhatsApp status which is easy to implement and facilitates communication. Digital Marketing is a way of marketing products on social media by utilizing various applications available on the internet, providing knowledge to reach a wide target market, and enabling MSMEs to develop through digital or social media.

Abstract

Giving gifts or souvenirs among young people with flower bouquets has become common place, unfortunately the flower bouquets we give often wither and become trash. One alternative substitute for souvenirs or flower bouquet gifts is a snack bouquet. Giving a snack bouquet not only cheap and affordable, it also provides more benefits because we can eat the snacks. The Trend of giving souvenirs or gifts in the form of a bouquet of snacks can be a form of business for young people, especially for the teenagers of the Kasih Ibu Bangkinang Orphanage. After this activity, it is hoped that teenagers can develop an entrepreneurial spirit and will grow into creative individuals. The problem of teenagers at Kasih Ibu Orphanage is that they do not have insight into entrepreneurship and there is a lack of activities that build their creativity and skills. Therefore, training is needed to increase understanding of education about entrepreneurship and a spirit of creativity that is trained at an early age, which is the main capital for their productivity and independence when they grow up. For sustainability programs, because children's entrepreneurship cannot be carried out alone, guidance and support from adults, assistants in orphanages and teachers are needed. Providing opportunities for teenagers to learn to do business (entrepreneurship) from a young age is not oriented towards making money, but rather to train independence, by relying on their creativity.

Abstract

In the process of language learning, particularly English, there are various methods and strategies that can be applied. One interesting approach is through language games. This study aims to examine the impact of using language games on students' English-speaking skills. The subjects of the study involved 19 students from classes 1 to 4 of the International Business Administration Program at Kampar Polytechnic. The results revealed that the use of language games significantly improved students' speaking abilities, including pronunciation, fluency, and sentence accuracy. Additionally, student participation, discipline, and responsiveness also showed improvement. Based on the questionnaire results, all students agreed that language games were not only enjoyable but also highly motivating, encouraging them to engage more actively in class activities.

Abstract

The rapid development of the global market is in the global industry where companies must have the ability to compete globally in the face of advancing times. Therefore, this global market development becomes a challenge for companies, including the Adifidz Putra beef skin cracker Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Bangkinang City, which must be able to compete by offering their consumers the best taste, quality, service, price, and packaging design compared to other competing products, so that they can continue to maintain their performance. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the packaging design for the skin cracker products from SMEs Adifidz Putra in Bangkinang City by applying the Kansei Engineering approach. This approach takes into account the emotional and psychological aspects of product packaging with the aim of creating a positive experience for consumers. The Kansei Engineering method will be used to link the physical characteristics of the packaging with the emotional responses expected from consumers. It is hoped that the results of this research will enhance product appeal and consumer satisfaction, while helping SMEs Adifidz Putra to improve their marketing efforts and increase the competitiveness of their products.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to assess the improvement of English vocabulary mastery through the implementation of the running dictation game method among fifth-grade students at SDN 005 Langgini. This research adopts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods included observation, documentation, and question-and-answer sessions. The participants of the study were 31 fifth-grade students at SDN 005 Langgini. The data analysis techniques employed were descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The findings of the study reveal that the use of the running dictation game method significantly improved English vocabulary mastery among the fifth-grade students in class V C at SDN 005 Langgini. This improvement is evident in the increase in average student scores and the overall enhancement of vocabulary mastery. In the pre-cycle, the classical completeness rate was 20.42%, classified as Not Developing. The completeness rate improved to 52.63% in Cycle I, meeting the criterion of Developing as Expected. As the results from Cycle I did not meet the established success criteria, the study proceeded to Cycle II. In Cycle II, student completeness increased to 81.71%, meeting the criterion of Developing Very Well. In both written and oral tests, students demonstrated strong proficiency in mastering English vocabulary, including their ability to write, pronounce, and translate vocabulary accurately.

Abstract

The issue addressed in this study is the low ability of children to recognize English vocabulary. There is a lack of variation in the use of teaching media for vocabulary instruction. The research questions are as follows: first, does the use of animated videos enhance children's ability to recognize English vocabulary? Second, how can animated videos be utilized to improve vocabulary recognition? The aim of this research is to improve early childhood vocabulary recognition in English through the use of animated videos, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of these videos in vocabulary instruction at SDN 020 Ridan Permai for the 2024/2025 academic year. The method employed in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the model developed by Kemmis and McTaggart. The subjects of this study consist of 28 students. Data were collected using both test and non-test methods.
