Abstract

Fly ash and bottom ash are the remains of coal combustion whose production is abundant, but its processing is not maximum. Therefore, FABA should be optimally utilized as a mixture of vegetable growing media. The study aims to test the use of FABA as a mixture of plant media against vegetable growth, yield, and nitrate content. The research was conducted at …. The research were arrennged in RCBD with two factors, the first factor is the composition of the planting media consisting of 4 levels, i.e. (K0) = 0 kg FABA + land 16,0 kg, (K1) = Fly ash 0,4 kg + bottom ash 0,1 kg + land 15,50 kg; (K2) = Fly Ash 0,8 kg + lower ash 0,2 kg + ground 15,0 kg (K3) = Fly ash 1,2 kg + bottom ash 0,3 kg + tanah 14,50 kg. The results showed The composition of the planting medium 0.8 kg FA + 0.2 kg BA + 16 kg soil gave the best response to the variable number of fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit diameter and fruit hardness. The highest nitrate content was obtained from the composition of the planting medium 0 kg FABA + 16 kg soil, while the lowest nitrate content was 1.2 kg FA + 0.3 BA + 14.5 kg soil. Vegetable products are safe for consumption in terms of nitrate levels consumed based on the provisions of the Accetable Daily Intake (ADI) and Estimated Daily Intake (EDI) Keywords : fly ash, bottom ash, nitrate, vegetable, acceptable daily intake

Abstract

Palm oil has become a crucial commodity because it has a high gross domestic product. The issue of the environmental effect of palm oil is still debated. On the other hand, desire become an essential aspect _ Because the production of agriculture No only For the moment but continues in the future. Studying and developing Stay About Palm is very important For knowing where Stay has been implemented. This study reviews the potency of palm oil through an analyzer potency of economy circular from cultivation to palm oil industry. The technique of deep data collection was used in writing the review. The document has been analyzed through a literature review to summarize the potential economic circular on the plantation and palm oil industry. Data search is not only limited to one country; paper from many countries has been reviewed. Studies This discusses the issue of palm oil getting its negative response and positive from various countries. However, findings show palm oil are very needed by humans. In context, waste produced _ by plantation and the palm oil industry study shows all waste can managed And converted to become something valuable. The circular economy is appropriate for increasing energy renewal in palm oil and ensuring a closed system. Management of good waste _ gives a mark plus economy from waste of palm oil so that palm oil can be sustainable in a way economy and environment.

Abstract

In the context of agro-sociology, butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea) is studied as one of the plants with high economic, health, and environmental value. Flower can be used as a raw material of herbal medicines that can improve human health, primarily in terms of immunity. The processing of secondary metabolites can help increase the added value of the pond farm itself. Some of the secondary metabolite compounds in strawberries that potentially boost the immune system among others are flavonoids, alkaloids and polyphenols. Flavonoid compounds including anthocyanins can help protect body cells from free radical damage and increase the production of white blood cells. Gulf flowers also contain alkaloids such as clitorine and cyanidine that have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, thus helping inhibit the growth of bacteria and viruses that cause infections and diseases. Gulf flowers also contain polyphenols such as caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid that have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. With the potential of this secondary metabolite, the sustainable farming of strawflower continues to float in Indonesia, along with the awareness of a healthy lifestyle and back to nature of society.

Abstract

Coal fly ash-bottom ash (FABA) is still possible to be used directly as a mixture of soil with other growing media in small-scale agriculture. This study aimed to determine and to identify the level of safety for the consumption of vegetable crops related to the adsorption of heavy metals due to the use of mixed FABA planting media. In this study, the proportion mixture of 6% FABA, 6% compost, and 8.6% fine coal (lignite) was applicated. The proportion ratio between FABA and soil was 1:15. The FABA media application was prepared for eggplant, chili, water spinach, spinach, mustard greens, and moringa vegetables. The study was conducted without any control treatment without FABA on the same soil type. As an alternative control, vegetables from local farmers, local markets, and supermarkets surrounding the study site were taken. The experimental results showed that the application of FABA did not increase nitrate and heavy metals content in vegetables. It can be concluded that vegetables grown on FABA media were safe and suitable for consumption in terms of acceptable daily intake of nitrate and various heavy metals, except for As intake in water spinach and mustard greens, which were recommended to be confirmed in further determination research.
