Abstract

Kata Kunci:  Dekubitus, Penyuluhan, Sosial Media, Stroke,Video Edukasi  ABSTRACT Stroke is a leading cause of neurological disorders worldwide, with one-third of sufferers requiring prolonged bed rest. A common side effect of prolonged bed rest is pressure ulcers. By using video-based educational materials, this community service activity (PKM) aims to improve the understanding and skills of family members in preventing and treating pressure ulcers in stroke patients. Planning, implementation, and evaluation are the techniques used. The hospital's official social media accounts (YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook) were used to disseminate educational videos online. Furthermore, direct counseling was also carried out on 26 families of stroke patients from the Kamasan, Takmung, and Pikat treatment rooms. Finally, the educational video was played repeatedly in the Polyclinic waiting room, operating room, and intensive care unit. A questionnaire was used to measure the level of knowledge of participants in direct counseling. Evaluation after one month, the video uploaded on social media Youtube had been watched more than 600 times, indicating the success of information delivery. A total of 92.3% of direct counseling participants showed insufficient knowledge in the pre-test. After education, all participants in the post-test showed a good increase in knowledge. Participants who watched the video in the waiting room, for two weeks were randomly selected to fill out a knowledge questionnaire. A total of 32 participants were found to have good knowledge. Education through video media is effective in increasing public knowledge about prevention and care of pressure ulcers in stroke patients. With the advancement of technology, it is expected that the public will find it easier to access health knowledge through social media, and health workers can be more creative in presenting health information. Keywords: Decubitus, Counseling, Social Media, Stroke, Educational Videos

Abstract

Introduction: The credentialing process is a series of expertise verifications to obtain clinical authority, especially for nurses. This literature review aimed to gain further exposure to implementing nursing credentials and determine whether the implementation is optimal. Methods: The method used a literature review. Article searches were carried out via PubMed, Google Scholar, and Wiley using the keywords “nursing credential” while searching in English articles and the keyword “kredensial perawat” in an article in Bahasa. A total of fifteen articles were extracted based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Nurses are expected to provide services by their clinical competence and authority through the credentialing process. Many studies showed that the implementation of credentials still needs to be improved. The main challenge found in many studies regarding the implementation of credentials is the overlapping of duties by the credentials committee. Conclusion: If the credentialing process is carried out correctly and optimally following existing laws and regulations, it will benefit nurses and hospitals significantly. These benefits include, among others, the fact that nurses can optimize the nursing care provided and provide legal protection because nurses have carried out competencies by their authority. Meanwhile, hospitals can improve the quality of service, maintain patient safety, and increase patient and family satisfaction.
