Abstract

Tren dalam studi matematika dan sains internasional menunjukkan 95% peserta didik Indonesia berada pada kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang rendah. Upaya untuk menyikapi hal ini, perlu dilakukan inovasi untuk meningkatkan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik. Model pembelajaran (Experiential Learning) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang kondusif, dan pembelajaran yang dikaitkan dengan pengalaman lansung mampu meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik dan akan berpengaruh terhadap berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik. Jenis penelitian eksperimen, sampel penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas XI IPA 1 kelas kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 2 kelas eksperimen. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa soal pretest, posttest dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (Experiential Learning) dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan hasil pretest  peserta didik mampu  menjawab 25% soal jenjang  C4, 51%  soal jenjang C5, dan 52% soal jenjnag C6, setelah   menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (Experiential Learning) mengalami kenaikan dimana peserta didik kelas eksperimen mampu menjawab 44% soal jenjang C4, 74% soal jenjang C5, dan 72% jenjang soal C6.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mensintesis senyawa dihidropirimidinon melalui reaksi siklokondensasi Biginelli menggunakan katalis larutan asam jawa. Senyawa dihidropirimidinon  merupakan  hasil  reaksi  siklokondensasi biginelli  dari aldehid,  etil  asetoasetat,  dan  urea  atau  tiourea yang memiliki  aktivitas  biologis  dan  bersifat antimikroba.  Reaksi ini merupakan reaksi kondensasi antara benzaldehid 6, 2-indanon 2 dan urea 7 dalam suasana asam Identifikasi  senyawa dihidropirimidinon  dilakukan  dengan    uji  FT-IR  dan  uji  GC-MS. Dari hasil penelitian sintesis senyawa dihidropirimidinon dengan katalis larutan asam jawa membuktikan bahwa larutan asam jawa dapat digunakan sebagai katalis sintesis senyawa dihidropirimidinon melalui reaksi siklokondensasi Biginelli. Sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi wabah penyakit infeksi.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a handout of chemitry based on the principle of unity of sciences to the material of acid and base. Unity of sciences is a paradihm that all sciences is united from Allah the Almighty. The subject of this research was students of XI MAN MAN Kendal, a school which supposes to have more concern of religion than regular school. This research used research and development approach. The handout was stated as very valid with the average validator score of 90%, readability test of 94% which means it does not need revision, and good responses of 80.41%. In conclusion, this handout is proper to enough to use in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the TAIbased Hands-on Activity learning model effectively to improve theunderstanding of chemical concepts and the learning motivation of learners ofhydrocarbon combustion material. This study uses a Quasi-ExperimentalDesign with the research subjects being Class XI students of SMA N 1 Kramat.The sample in this study was taken using the Random Sampling Clustertechnique. The instrument in this study was a test instrument in the form of apretest and posttest, while the non-test instrument was a questionnaire. Theresults of the t-test analysis showed that the application of the TAI basedHands-on Activity learning model was effective in increasing the ability tounderstand chemical concepts and learner motivation. The average ability tounderstand the concepts of chemistry in the experimental class and the controlclass was 78.06 and 67.86, respectively. The average learning motivation ofstudents in the experimental class and the successive control class is 75.83 and65.83. The N-gain test for understanding the concept of the experimental classand the control class were 0.467 (medium category) and 0.296 (low category),respectively. N-gain learning motivation of students in the experimental classand control class was 0.42 (medium category) and 0.25 (low category),respectively.

Abstract

The CEP approach combines chemical knowledge with entrepreneurial concepts. In the manufacture of macromolecular products, a deep understanding of chemistry is essential. Entrepreneurship education is very important because it raises enthusiasm and motivates students to start a business when they graduate from school. The research objective is to design practical instruction for Chemo-Entrepreneurship (CEP) focusing on the subject of macromolecules. The type of research used for the development of practical instructions in this study is Research and Development. The development method is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The product developed was validated by six validators in the valid category according to Aiken's V table with a validity value of 0.846. The research subjects in the product trial developed in this study were students of class XII MIPA SMAN 1 Cepu. The assessment of student responses was in the very good category with a percentage of 94.3%. It can be concluded that the CEP-practical guide is feasible to use. The resulting product is expected to be used as a learning resource on the macromolecule topic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of worksheets and the science process skills of students using worksheets based on local wisdom-oriented projects in Central Java, with insights from green chemistry. The research follows the Research and Development (RD) methodology, specifically the modified 4D development procedure, which includes define, design, and develop stages. The study was conducted at UIN Walisongo Semarang with 60 chemistry education students participating. Expert validation results indicated that the worksheet, based on local wisdom-oriented projects with green chemistry insight, was feasible, achieving a validity percentage of 86.53%, categorized as very valid. Observations of students’ science process skills using project worksheets 1, 2, and 3 yielded an average score of 78.6%. Pretest and post-test data on students' science process skills showed scores of 29.8 and 70.5 for the experimental class, and 29.64 and 54.46 for the control class, respectively. The average n-gain score for the experimental class was calculated to be 58%, indicating it falls within the moderately effective category.  In conclusion, the worksheet, which leverages the local wisdom of Central Java and incorporates green chemistry principles into the study of acid-base material, is feasible and can be effectively used as a learning resource for students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran kimia di MAN 1 Kudus masih dominan menggunakan metode ceramah dengan penekanan pada aspek kognitif, sehingga peserta didik takut melakukan praktikum dan kurang mengembangkan keterampilan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan bahan ajar kimia berbasis proyek yang berorientasi pada wirausaha dengan pendekatan Green Chemistry, serta mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar dan motivasi kewirausahaan peserta didik. Menggunakan model 4D dari Thiagarajan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sangat valid dengan skor rata-rata 89,8%. Hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat signifikan dengan thitung 22,18 > ttabel 1,99 dan N-gain sebesar 0,74. Motivasi kewirausahaan peserta didik juga meningkat dari 64,5 pada siklus awal menjadi 86,36 pada siklus akhir. Bahan ajar ini dinyatakan layak dan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

The 21st century demands that students develop various skills, including critical thinking. This study investigates how effective an interactive video-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is in enhancing students' critical thinking skills on the topic of atomic structure and the benefits of nanomaterials. The research used a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control groups. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling, with class X4 as the experimental group and class X6 as the control group. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, which were analyzed using the product-moment correlation formula to validate the test instruments. The results showed that the experimental group's average post-test score for critical thinking skills was 75.944, higher than the control group's score of 61.278. The hypothesis test using an independent sample t-test revealed a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Additionally, the effectiveness of the model was assessed using the n-gain test, resulting in a mean value of 0.6327, which falls into the medium effectiveness category.
