Abstract

This study aims to find out the increase of student’s ability in mathematical exploration, learning completeness, and the relationship between mathematical exploration abilities and students' self-confidence in the application of the probing prompting learning model. This is an experimental research method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data was collected by giving a test about mathematical exploration abilities and a questionnaire on self-confidence. The results of the study by applying the probing prompting learning model showed that there was an increase on student’s mathematical exploration ability at 0.806 with a high category. Students’ self-confidence achievement showed that there was no tendency towards the established self-confidence indicators. The achievement of individual learning completeness was ?75% and classical learning completeness was ? 75% in average. There is a relationship between mathematical exploration abilities and student self-confidence, the correlation coefficient is 0.204 with weak criteria.

Abstract

Kegiatan program pengabdian pada masyarakat yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk pengembangan pemasaran melalui desain kemasan produk dan label produk. Objek pada kegiatan ini adalah SKIS Craft, yang mempunyai usaha di bidang kerajinan lurik, dan Kancil Collection yang mempunyai usaha di bidang kerajinan kulit. Permasalahan pada kedua  mitra ini hampir sama, yaitu tentang kurangnya kualitas pemasaran serta pengemasan produk yang menarik, sehingga produk mitra kurang dikenal di masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan meliputi: 1) observasi ke lokasi mitra untuk menggali informasi selengkap mungkin, 2) identifikasi permasalahan mitra, 3) solusi permasalahan mitra dan 4) menghasilkan luaran sesuai dengan target kegiatan. Solusi yang ditawarkan antara lain adalah memberikan pelatihan tentang desain dan pengemasan produk agar lebih menarik. Hasil kegiatan berupa jasa pelatihan tentang pembuatan kemasan produk serta pembuatan label untuk produk mitra.Kata Kunci : pelatihan, kemasan, kerajinan lurik, kerajinan kulit

Abstract

Diversifikasi penggunaan kain lurik diantaranya digunakan sebagai selendang, baju, tas, dan sandal. Desain tas lurik yang beredar dipasaran saat ini masih terbatas pada beberapa desain serta belum dikemas dengan baik. Keeksklusifan tas yang berbahan lurik jika dipadukan dengan kemewahan kulit dengan sentuhan akhir pada pengemasan akan menghasilkan sebuah produk yang berdaya jual internasional. Kegiatan program pengabdian pada masyarakat yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk pengembangan pemasaran melalui vaiasi desain tas, kemasan produk, dan label produk. Objek pada kegiatan ini adalah SKIS Craft, yang mempunyai usaha di bidang kerajinan lurik, dan Kancil Collection yang mempunyai usaha di bidang kerajinan kulit. Lurik’s designs on the market today are still limited to several designs and have not been packaged properly. Exclusivity lurik bags if combined with luxury leather given the touch of a packaging will produce a international product. This community service program activity is aimed at marketing development through product packaging design and product labelling. The object of this activity is SKIS Craft, which has business in lurik crafts, and Kancil Collection which has business in leather craft. The problems in these two partners are almost identical, namely the lack of quality marketing and the packaging of attractive products, so that the partner products are less well known in the community. The implementation methods used include: 1) observation to the partner site to explore as much information as possible, 2) identify partner problems, 3) partner problem solutions and 4) generate outcomes in accordance with the target activities. The solutions offered include providing training on product design and packaging to make it more attractive. The results of activities in the form of training services on the manufacture of product packaging and labelling for partner products.

Abstract

Konsep bilangan mesti diperkenalkan kepada anak sejak dini, sebab akan menjadi dasar bagi pemahaman matematika berikutnya.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran konsep bilangan melalui alat permainan edukatif replika bunga angka.  Subjek penelitian ini yaitu sepuluh anak di kelompok B dan satu guru kelas B.  jenis penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif.  Pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan ialah observasi dan dokumentasi.  Hasilnya didapatkan sebanyak 80% anak dengan kriteria BSB dan 20% dengan kriteria BSH.  Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar anak mampu memahami kegiatan bermain menggunakan alat permainan edukatif replika bunga angka sehingga terjadi peningkatan kemampuan memahami konsep bilangan.

Abstract

Fraction as part-whole is the key to further fractional understanding, such as equivalent fractions. A problem faced by students in equivalent fractions is that they understand one part without including the other parts. This article discusses how 4th-grade students understand fractions as part-whole and equivalent fractions using units of equivalent. Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education-oriented learning environment using jelly context was developed and tested in two stages, involving six students with different levels of mathematics ability. The analysis of group discussions and students’ answers to the given tasks shows that students with low abilities have difficulty showing that 1/4 is one part of the four parts. The students only know fractions in a/b form without understanding their meaning. It impacts the construction of equivalent fractions as units of equivalent. High-ability students can easily do mathematization on 2/8 or 2/6 by making a cut pattern before cutting the jelly. The research contributes to learning design that begins with activities related to the fractions as part-whole.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning outcomes literacy and numeracy skills by using a realistic mathematics education (RME) approach, especially trigonometry comparison material of SMA Muhammadiyah Imogiri. Students of grade X E1 SMA Muhammadiyah Imogiri are the main objects involved in this research. This RME approach model is used as a strategy to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills about trigonometric comparison material. The results of this study show that applying the RME approach is very effective because students are able to apply contextual problems related to trigonometric comparisons and are able to develop their own discipline and mutual cooperation attitudes, the significance of mastering students' literacy and numeracy skills in applying and solving contextual problems in trigonometric comparisons. Based on a sample of 24 students of grade X E1, it is proven that more than 80% of students are complete and able to apply contextual problems in trigonometric comparisons, while less than 15% of students are incomplete and unable to apply contextual problems.

Abstract

Freudenthal's ideas on mathematics that stated mathematics as a human activity and mathematics must be connected to reality have colored towards learning mathematics all over the world, including Indonesia. Existing research on this topic in Indonesia among two decades is categorized and compared. This paper presents a systematic literature review of empirical studies on this learning approach in Indonesian context. The implementation of this approach in Indonesia was analyzed comprehensively and divided into several major topics. Resources of this research come from 110 articles by ten highest rank accredited journals by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia as an achievement for the peer-reviewed journal, which has excellent quality in management and publication. The results show that there are seven categories summarized in this research: the dominance of published RME articles, RME research subjects, mathematical topics, students' abilities, RME terms, and the research method used in RME articles. Lastly, the summarized 110 papers are displayed in the table to give essential information as a fundamental idea for further RME research.
