Abstract

The handling of drug cases has developed with the presence of Islamic boarding schools that specifically focus their educational orientation on handling this case. The involvement of Islamic boarding schools in handling drug offenders indicates the development of a rehabilitation process that has only been played by the National Narcotics Agency. This study will reveal the religious effect-based education model in handling drug cases in Ar-Rahman Palembang and Suryalaya Tasikmalaya Islamic boarding schools with an empirical qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection uses in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation which are then analyzed using Spradley's inductive model technique which begins with compiling research questions, then determining research propositions, research analysis units, data linkage logic with propositions, criteria for interpreting findings, and finally presenting research results. The research findings show three essential things. First, overcoming drug offenders is carried out through five stages, namely client acceptance, program orientation, primary program, re-entry program, and complete program. Second, client healing is carried out with therapist techniques with religious methods, Focus Group Discussions, narcotic animus, as well as medical and psychological. Third, the implications are oriented towards three main aspects: behavioral and mental changes, awareness to stop consuming drugs, and the emergence of obedience in worship. In line with that, this study has limitations because it only uses descriptive analysis of limited data. Therefore, further studies with more comprehensive data coverage are expected.

Abstract

This study discusses the effectiveness, challenges, and technological developments in data-based education planning in the context of the digital era. The background of this study stems from the educational needs in the Society 5.0 era, which demands 21st-century competencies and the use of data to support evidence-based decision-making. The research uses a literature study approach by reviewing articles from reputable national and international journals in the 2015–2025 period. The analysis was conducted using a thematic approach that grouped the findings into three main dimensions, namely planning effectiveness, implementation challenges, and the development of Educational Data Mining (EDM) and Learning Analytics (LA). The results of the study show that data-based planning effectively improves objectivity, equity of services, and transparency in education governance. However, its implementation faces obstacles in the form of unintegrated data quality, low data literacy among educators, infrastructure limitations, and cultural and ethical issues related to privacy. Meanwhile, the development of EDM and LA opens up opportunities for planning transformation with predictive and prescriptive approaches that support personalised learning and adaptive resource management. This study emphasises the importance of integrating technological innovation, data governance policies, and human resource capacity building to strengthen the implementation of data-based educational planning in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the practices of principal leadership in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Islam Qur'ani Al-Bahjah Cirebon, focusing on the dynamics of digital and non-digital leadership. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a single case study design, utilizing interviews, observation, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, and teachers. The results indicate that non-digital leadership remains dominant as it aligns with the values of discipline and the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) character. Conversely, digital leadership is used to a limited extent for the efficiency of communication and administration, but is constrained by infrastructure and internal policies. The findings affirm the emergence of a hybrid leadership model where both approaches complement each other according to the context. This study emphasizes the importance of flexibility in educational leadership when adopting digitalization without abandoning traditional pesantren values

Abstract

General Background: Educational institutions in the twenty-first century face rapid digital transformation that requires leadership approaches beyond conventional managerial practices. Specific Background: In Islamic primary schools, transformational leadership and digital leadership have emerged as key dimensions of modern leadership applied by school principals to support administrative and managerial functions of educational personnel. Knowledge Gap: Despite growing scholarly attention to leadership styles, empirical evidence that jointly examines transformational and digital leadership in relation to managerial competence of educational staff in Islamic primary schools remains limited. Aims: This study aims to analyze the contribution of transformational leadership and digital leadership to the managerial competence of educational personnel at SD Islam Al-Azhar 38 Bantul. Results: Using a quantitative ex post facto design with total sampling of 34 educational staff members, the findings demonstrate that transformational leadership and digital leadership simultaneously explain 87.8 percent of the variance in managerial competence, with digital leadership showing a dominant role, while transformational leadership presents a non-significant coefficient. Novelty: The study integrates two dimensions of modern leadership within the specific context of Islamic primary school educational personnel, highlighting digital leadership as a central managerial driver. Implications: These findings suggest that strengthening digital leadership practices, supported by adequate infrastructure and continuous professional development, is essential for advancing managerial competence and improving administrative governance in Islamic primary education. Highlights • Transformational and digital leadership jointly account for a high proportion of managerial competence variance• Digital leadership demonstrates a dominant contribution within a school digitalization context• Islamic primary schools benefit from integrated modern leadership practices supported by digital systems Keywords Transformational Leadership; Digital Leadership; Managerial Competence; Educational Personnel; Islamic Primary School
