Abstract

Serat Wedhatama is one of the literary works that contains moral values that are still relevant to social life and in accordance with the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. The purpose of this study is to describe the related to the Profil Pelajar Pancasila’s in the serat Wedhatama. This is a qualitative descriptive research. The data were collected by reading and note-taking method, and then analyzed by qualitative analysis method of Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study indicated that the Profil Pelajar Pancasila dimensions implied in the serat Wedhatama pupuh Pangkur was the dimensions of faith, fear of God, and noble character, especially in the sub-elements of religious, personal, and state morals. In the global diversity dimension, there was an example that corresponds to the sub-elements of communication and interaction between cultures and social justice. The sub-element of collaboration which was the part of teamworks was also shown in the serat Wedhatama. In the independent dimension there was an example of self-understanding and the situation handling aspect. In addition, there was also a sub-element of thougts reflection and decisions process as part of the critical thinking dimension. Further research on Javanese moral values as a reinforcement of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila in the other serat Wedhatama’s pupuh or other Javanese literary still needs to be conducted in order to make a contribution to the education fields and to preserve the Indonesian noble heritage.

Abstract

Adanya hubungan karya sastra dengan lingkungan memunculkan sebuah konsep kritik sastra yang disebut ekokritik. Ekokritik muncul dalam berbagai jenis karya sastra, tidak terkecuali dalam karya sastra Jawa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjabarkan tentang ekokritik sastra dalam karya sastra Jawa berjenis cerita pendek berjudul Sendang Bulusan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah cerpen karya Endang TS yang berjudul Sendang Bulusan. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kritik lingkungan yang disampaikan secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dalam cerita pendek Sendang Bulusan. Pemunculan ekokritik tersebut diwujudkan dalam representasi alam berupa kehidupan di sekitar sebuah telaga, representasi tumbuhan berupa pohon beringin, serta representasi hewan dalam wujud hewan penyu atau bulus. Representasi ekokritik tersebut disampaikan dalam 3 wujud, yaitu: (1) latar tempat berupa gambaran alam dalam cerkak, (2) pensakralan alam berupa pohon dan penyu yang disakralkan, dan (3) pelogisan pensakralan alam sebagai upaya menjaga lingkungan. Penulis berusaha menyampaikan ekokritik terhadap pensakralan lingkungan dan entitas yang hidup di lingkungan tersebut, termasuk hewan dan tumbuhan, yang mana mempunyai dampak positif maupun negatif.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the meaning of Javanese proverbs that contain fauna lexicon elements. This research uses an ecolinguistic approach. This research focuses on expressions in Javanese proverbs that use fauna lexicon. Data were collected by means of qualitative data analysis as three streams of activities that occur simultaneously: (1) data condensation, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion drawing or verification. Data validity was tested with data triangulation by performing the following steps: discussion, double-checking, and expert consultation. The results of the study show that the fauna lexicon has a connection and represents the culture of Javanese society, including related to: (1) negative character, (2) negative nature, (3) positive behavior related to social morals, (4) negative behavior related to human moral behavior, (5) negative behavior related to social life.

Abstract

The MBKM class of the Department of Regional Language Education UNY is attended by students from various language and cultural backgrounds. The lack of mastery of Javanese language is the main factor causing language errors. This study aims to describe the language errors of MBKM class students. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself with the help of data cards. The data studied are words, phrases, clauses, sentences that deviate from the standard rules/paramasastra of Javanese language. The method used is descriptive-qualitative research method of content analysis technique. The data were collected through reading and recording techniques, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis method. The validity used is the credibility test. The results showed that language errors arose due to the imposition of Indonesian elements that were translated into Javanese, lack of vocabulary, and the use of machine translation. In terms of phonology, there are 43% errors in writing vowel phonemes, 36% errors in writing consonant phonemes, 7% errors in adding consonants, 14% errors in reducing consonants. In terms of morphology, there are 32% affixation errors, 26% diction errors, 22% repetition errors and 20% compounding errors. In terms of syntax, there are 67% sentence writing errors, 16% clause writing errors, and 17% phrase writing errors. The results of the study are used as the basis for mapping errors in Javanese language, then it can be implemented as a signpost for writing Javanese sentences for MBKM class students.

Abstract

Metaphor is one of the many language styles used by authors. Research on the use of metaphors in short stories has been conducted with various short story anthologies. However, research on metaphors with the object of Javanese short stories has not been widely researched. The metaphors with the Javanese short story object are interesting to be researched, considering the many figurative language styles owned by Javanese literature. This study aims to describe the metaphors found in the Anthology of Paron Short Stories by Poerwadhie Atmodihardjo. The chapters to be discussed are: 1) form of metaphor lingual unit, 2) type of metaphor, and 3) function of metaphor in the Anthology of Paron Short Stories by Poerwadhie Atmodihardjo. This research is a descriptive research. The research data source is a collection of short stories with the title Anthology of Paron Short Stories. The data used are words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that use metaphors in the anthology of Paron short stories. The method of data collection used is listening and writing. How to analyze the data using descriptive techniques by explaining the form of lingual units, types and functions of metaphors used in the Paron Short Story Anthology. How to validate the data using the validity of theoretical triangulation, semantic validity and stability reality. The research results obtained are: 1) The word, phrase, clause, sentence metaphor, 2) Metaphor types are anthropomorphic, animalistic, abstracting, and synesthesia, 3) Metaphor functions are informational, expressive, directive, and phatic.
