Abstract

Anemia pada remaja putri masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat. Remaja putri memiliki risiko yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan remaja putra, hal ini dikarenakan remaja putri setiap bulannya mengalami haid (menstruasi). Remaja di indonesia terutama remaja putri sebagian besar mengalami anemia, hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya konsumsi sumber makanan yang mengandung zat besi yang mudah diserap oleh tubuh. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja putri mengenai status gizi yang diukur menggunakan pengukuran antropometri dan pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin untuk pencegahan anemia. Peserta dalam kegiatan pemeriksaan ini adalah siswi Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Al-Khairat Kota Palu. Alamat JL. SIS Al-Jufri, No. 36, Siranindi, Kec. Palu Barat, Kota Palu, Sulawesi Tengah. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam kegiatan pemeriksaan ini adalah metode ceramah. Hasil dari kegiatan pemeriksaan status gizi dan hemoglobin sebagian besar siswi memiliki gizi normal (72%) dan lainnya memiliki gizi tidak normal, yakni gizi kurang (12%), gizi lebih (12%) dan obesitas (4%). Hasil pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin didapatkan bahwa ada 48% siswi yang tidak anemia, sehingga 52% siswi mengalami anemia. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa memang remaja putri rentan untuk menderita anemia.

Abstract

In 2023, food poisoning cases in Central Sulawesi were recorded at 205 cases, including 30 cases in Palu City, making food safety supervision crucial. One commonly consumed food in Palu City is tofu, with an average consumption of 0.1917 kg per capita per week. However, tofu is easily spoiled and has the potential to contain hazardous food additives such as formaldehyde. Additionally, the sanitation of storage places English: serves to maintain marketed quality safety. The research aims to examine sanitation and formalin levels in tofu storage areas at Manonda Inpres Market, Palu City. Using descriptive methods, the population is permanent tofu sellers at Manonda Inpres Market, with a total of 8 samples. The samples were placed in coded plastic bags and tested at the Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tadulako University, for formalin levels relevant to BPOM policy Number 22 of 2023. Sanitation was analyzed through questions and answers and direct observation based on Minister of Health Regulation 2 of 2023. 4 out of 8 samples (50%) tested positive for formalin, which is dangerous if consumed, and 81.25% of sellers have good sanitation. It is hoped that this study can be used as a reference for BPOM, the Health Office, and market managers in organizing vendor locations, conducting routine inspections, and implementing food storage using food-grade and covered containers, thereby continuously improving food safety standards.

Abstract

The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia has reached only 66.1%, falling short of the global target of 70% by 2030. This indicates that breastfeeding practices remain suboptimal. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge, educational level, family support, and food taboos with exclusive breastfeeding practices in the working area of Sigenti Public Health Center, Tinombo Selatan Subdistrict, Parigi Moutong Regency. A quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach was employed. The study population consisted of 126 mothers, from which a sample of 95 respondents was obtained using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results revealed a significant association between maternal knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding practices (p = 0.001). However, no significant relationships were found between educational level (p = 0.454), family support (p = 0.267), and food taboos (p = 0.513) with exclusive breastfeeding practices. The study concludes that low maternal knowledge is a key factor contributing to the suboptimal practice of exclusive breastfeeding. Additionally, other influencing factors such as community perceptions and the role of healthcare providers were also identified
