This study aims to describe the application of Solo dodotan and Jogja dodotan traditional bridal attire in the internship practice of traditional Makeup Artists (MUA) at Gubuk Paes. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the internship activities. The research subjects included the owner of Gubuk Paes, Dwi Puryatno, as well as internship participants who were directly involved in traditional Javanese bridal makeup activities. The results showed that the internship program provided important practical experience in improving participants’ skills in the field of traditional bridal makeup, particularly in the application of Solo and Jogja dodotan attire. Internship participants learned techniques for applying dodotan fabric, Solo and Jogja paes makeup, the use of bridal accessories, and the preparation process for traditional Javanese brides directly in the field. In addition to improving technical abilities, the internship also developed professional attitudes such as discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and communication skills with clients. The application of dodotan attire in internship practice not only functioned as a learning process for makeup skills but also became part of efforts to preserve traditional Javanese bridal culture amid the development of the modern beauty industry. Therefore, internship programs play an important role in improving the competence of prospective traditional makeup artists while preserving local Indonesian culture.
