Abstract

Food security encompasses not just the availability and accessibility of food, but is also intricately linked to the psychological well-being of the community. This community service initiative seeks to enhance understanding and awareness among urban populations, particularly in the Jakarta region, about the connection between food security and mental health. The program employs an educational and participatory methodology that engages a variety of stakeholders, including academics, food distribution organizations, consumer advocacy groups, and local residents. Key activities include workshops, discussions on food policy, and education regarding the significance of emotional stability and a sense of security in obtaining sufficient food. The outcomes of this initiative indicate that the community's comprehension of the psychological dimensions of food security remains limited; however, there is considerable enthusiasm for incorporating a mental well-being perspective into food policies and initiatives. This program aspires to serve as a collaborative model for developing a food system that is not only sustainable in physical and economic terms but also fosters the overall mental well-being of the community.

Abstract

Burnout is a critical psychological phenomenon among employees, characterized by emotional exhaustion, reduced motivation, and diminished professional efficacy. This study aims to examine the predictive role of self-efficacy and hope on employee burnout. Using a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, data were collected from 150 employees in Central Java, Indonesia, selected through multistage random sampling followed by purposive sampling. Measurement instruments included the Burnout Inventory (0,911), General Self-Efficacy Scale (0,887), dan Hope Scale (0,90), all of which demonstrated high reliability. Data were analyzed using multiple regression with SPSS. The results revealed that both self-efficacy and hope significantly predicted burnout, explaining 69.3% of the variance. Employees with higher self-efficacy tended to adopt adaptive coping strategies and were less vulnerable to emotional exhaustion, while those with higher levels of hope maintained stronger motivation and engagement despite work pressures. These findings highlight the importance of fostering psychological resources such as self-efficacy and hope to protect employees from burnout. Organizations are recommended to design psychological interventions and workplace policies to enhance employee resilience. Future research should expand the scope by incorporating other psychosocial variables and diverse organizational contexts to strengthen generalizability.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in the teaching profession exposes educators to an intense flow of information, increasing their vulnerability to Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). Although FoMO has been extensively studied globally, research focusing on teachers particularly in Indonesia, where digital engagement is high remains very limited. This study aims to adapt and validate the Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOS) for the context of Indonesian teachers by examining its psychometric properties. A quantitative approach was employed, including content validation by experts (VI = 1), readability testing (VI = 1), and data collection from 68 vocational high school teachers using purposive sampling. Structural validity was analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Results indicated a high KMO value (0.845), a three-factor structure with factor loadings ranging from 0.585 to 0.818, and strong reliability (0.973). Overall, this adapted FoMOS is both valid and reliable for measuring FoMO among Indonesian teachers.
