Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher’s curiosity in using audio-visual learning media using the discussion method. This research is motivated by the low level of activity in the student learning process because the methods used are less varied and the media that supports learning has not been implemented optimally. The research method used in this article is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques use interview, observation and documentation techniques. This type of media is able to provide a better learning experience because it includes sound and images. To support the success of this media, it must have adequate facilities and infrastructure that are suitable for use. A number of tools are used by teachers to convey concepts, ideas and experiences captured by the senses of sight and hearing based on the understandings that have been given. The use of audio-visual based learning media with discussion-based learning methods can increase the learning motivation of students in a less active learning process who pay attention to the lesson.

Abstract

Education with a global perspective at the elementary school level is a strategic approach in shaping the character of students who care, think critically, and have broad insights from an early age. This article examines a number of global issues such as the environment, human rights, social inequality, cultural migration, and the development of information technology, and explores how these issues can be integrated into contextual, fun, and relevant learning for elementary school students. The role of teachers as learning facilitators is crucial in realizing global education through thematic, project-based approaches and strengthening multicultural literacy. This approach is in line with the values of the Pancasila Student Profile and contributes to forming a generation that is ready to face global challenges, without losing the roots of national identity and culture.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V dengan menggunakan media audiovisual di SD MUHAMMADIYAH 2 SOROLANGUN. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas V SD MUHAMMADIYAH 2 SOROLANGUN tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 32 siswa, terdiri dari 9 laki-laki dan 23 perempuan. Objek penelitian ini adalah media audiovisual dan hasil belajar. Kegaiatan penelitian dirancang dalam 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan seperti : 1) Perencanaan, 2) Tindakan, 3) Evaluasi/Observasi, dan 4) Refleksi. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas selama 2 siklus menunjukkan hasil bahwa menggunakan media audiovisual dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD MUHAMMADIYAH 2 SOROLANGUN. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II.Hal ini ditunjukan dengan presentase siswa tuntas pada siklus I sebesar 68,18%dan presentase siswa tidak tuntas sebesar 31,81%, kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 86,36% presentase siswa yang tuntas dan 13,63% presentase siswa yang tidak tuntas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar IPS siswa meningkat melalui media audiovisual.

Abstract

Calistung learning in low-grade primary schools plays an important role in improving students' language and communication skills. This article discusses the sequence of language learning starting from the lower primary grades, which includes reading, writing and counting. Reading is the initial stage of language learning, which includes the recognition of letter shapes, recognition of linguistic elements, and slow reading speed. Writing as a medium of student communication so that students can convey their ideas, ideas, and feelings to each other through a series of words. Counting as a very important ability for students after reading and writing, which needs to be developed in equipping students. Thus, the sequence of language learning starting from low grade elementary school has important significance in improving students' language abilities and communication skills.
