Abstract

Pendekatan interdisipliner yang menggabungkan sains, teknologi, rekayasa, dan matematika (STEM) ke dalam pembelajaran merupakan salah satu strategi penting untuk memenuhi tuntutan pendidikan abad ke-21. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, media pembelajaran telah bergeser ke arah format digital, termasuk penggunaan e-modul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji respons siswa terhadap penerapan e-modul berbasis STEM yang terintegrasi dengan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan sangat praktis dan cocok untuk diterapkan secara efektif dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hal ini didukung oleh persentase respons siswa rata-rata di tiga kelas eksperimen: 93,15% (±1,198) di Kelas 1, 91,41% (±1,067) di Kelas 2, dan 90,32% (±3,890) di Kelas 3. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa e-modul STEM-PjBL yang dikembangkan mendukung pembelajaran yang bermakna dan mudah diakses, sekaligus mendorong keterlibatan siswa dan eksplorasi mandiri dalam memahami konsep kesetimbangan kimia.

Abstract

This research explores the use of gamification in chemistry education by incorporating puzzles into the study of the Periodic System of Elements. Gamification, which integrates game-like elements into non-gaming contexts, aims to boost students' motivation and improve their academic performance. In chemistry learning, gamification can transform the educational experience into a more engaging and stimulating one, particularly for challenging subjects like the Periodic System of Elements. Puzzles serve as a gamification tool that can enhance students' interest and facilitate a better understanding of complex chemistry concepts through interactive engagement. The study utilizes a literature review approach to gather and analyze various relevant articles, revealing that puzzle-based learning can enhance student participation, alleviate anxiety, and promote teamwork. The results suggest that employing gamification through puzzles not only deepens students' comprehension of fundamental chemical principles but also cultivates a favorable attitude towards learning chemistry. Consequently, the use of puzzles in gamification is recommended as a valuable and enjoyable educational strategy.

Abstract

Minyak jelantah merupakan limbah rumah tangga dan industri yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan serta membahayakan kesehatan apabila digunakan kembali tanpa proses pemurnian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pemurnian minyak jelantah menggunakan adsorben bentonit melalui metode penjernihan fisika dan kimia, dengan memvariasikan massa bentonit dan suhu pemanasan. Proses fisika dilakukan dengan adsorpsi menggunakan bentonit dalam variasi 1-7% b/v dan suhu 30-80°C, sedangkan proses kimia menggunakan reaksi esterifikasi dengan etanol dan asam sulfat pada suhu yang sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemurnian fisika paling efektif pada suhu 80°C dan konsentrasi bentonit 5%, menghasilkan penurunan kadar asam lemak bebas (ALB) hingga 0,08%. Sementara itu, pemurnian kimia efektif menurunkan ALB hingga 0,18% pada suhu 80°C. Kedua metode mampu memperbaiki kejernihan dan menurunkan kadar ALB secara signifikan, namun belum sepenuhnya menghilangkan aroma bau tidak sedap. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentonit merupakan adsorben yang efektif untuk pemurnian minyak jelantah, dan pemilihan kondisi operasi yang optimal sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil akhir.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai penanganan bahan kimia berbahaya dan keselamatan berkerja di laboratorium dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya kecelakaan saat praktikum. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa serta guru mata pelajaran kimia terhadap bahaya penggunaan bahan kimia berbahaya di laboratorium sekolah serta cara penanganannya yang cepat dan tepat. Workshop ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 6 Tualang pada bulan April 2025 dengan melibatkan guru mata pelajaran Kimia dan siswa kelas XI sebanyak 38 orang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahapan persiapan dengan melakukan koordinasi awal dengan pihak sekolah untuk memperoleh informasi terkait kondisi laboratorium, penyampaian materi melalui presentasi interaktif, diskusi kelompok, demonstrasi langsung mengenai identifikasi bahan kimia berbahaya, prosedur penyimpanan, penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), penanganan limbah dan simulasi ketika terjadi kecelakaan kerja di laboratorium serta tahapan evaluasi berupa observasi langsung dan pemberian kuesioner berupa pre test dan post test. Hasil dan kesimpulan kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta mengenai klasifikasi-klasifikasi bahan kimia berbahaya, simbol bahaya, dan prosedur keselamatan kerja di laboratorium. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan signifikan nilai rata-rata dari pre-test ke post-test dan kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi dalam menumbuhkan budaya keselamatan di lingkungan sekolah serta memperkuat kesiapan siswa dalam mengikuti praktikum kimia dengan lebih bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

Writing a thesis in this study entitled: "Empowerment of State Civil Servants (ASN) in the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Security in Sintang Regency". The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of apparatus empowerment in the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Security in Sintang Regency. This is to find out the factors that influence the empowerment of the State Civil Apparatus within the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Security in Sintang Regency. Research results In empowering the employee apparatus at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Security, Sintang Regency, giving trust by the leadership in granting authority to subordinates is always used as the basis for carrying out tasks in the service environment so that employees with their obligations convey accountability in accordance with the program orientation specified in job description. Besides the authority given by the leadership is clear according to the mechanism that has been determined, besides that the provision of support by the leadership of the staff feels motivated because of the attention given by the superior so that the expected performance can be achieved. Capability of Civil Servants in the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and District Food Security The hedgehog is low. This is due to the large number of staff shortages. Therefore, prioritizing placement in areas that are quite urgent. An adequate number of employees does not guarantee the smooth running of services aimed at the community if these employees do not understand the substance of their duties properly. Therefore, the delegation of authority must be based on needs by referring to the needs of each division in the service. The delegation of authority based on needs can foster empowerment so as to spur the morale of the employees concerned.
