Abstract

Aphids are polyphagous insects commonly found on various plants, including citrus plants. The association between aphids and citrus plants plays a role as pests and vectors of citrus plant diseases, particularly Citrus tristeza virus (CTV). Various aphid species have been reported as CTV vectors, including Aphis gossypii, Toxoptera aurantii, and T. citricidus. So far, no information has been on aphid species associated with citrus plants in Southeast Sulawesi. Therefore, this study aimed to identify aphid species associated with citrus plants. The research method used was observation and collection of aphids found colonizing citrus plants. The collected aphids were then brought to the laboratory for detection using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique. The study results showed that the aphid species associated with citrus plants was Aphis citricidus. The PCR technique successfully detected the genome of aphid vector samples from Konawe and South Konawe (700 bp). This information is a fundamental basis for controlling CTV in mainland Southeast Sulawesi.

Abstract

The coastal village of Boddia in Takalar Regency faces increasing waste pollution due to the community’s limited awareness of sustainable waste management. To address this issue, a community service initiative was implemented using the Eco-Language approach, which integrates language and technology literacy in educating residents through the establishment of a local waste bank. The program involved several stages: awareness-building sessions, training in waste-based product creation, digital marketing workshops, and the development of a community waste bank structure. Actively involving local residents, the program succeeded in enhancing environmental awareness, fostering practical skills, and generating marketable products. Collaboration between academics and local authorities played a crucial role in shaping a mindset shift toward circular economy practices. The outcomes suggest that this model holds strong potential for adaptation in other coastal areas facing similar environmental challenges.

Abstract

Consumer loyalty is customer loyalty to a product or service, which is influenced by service quality and trust. Good service quality and high trust increase customer satisfaction. This satisfaction then becomes an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between service quality, trust and consumer loyalty. This research aims to find out what influence Service Quality, Trust has on Consumer Loyalty and Customer Satisfaction as an Inteirveining Variable for Consumers at Caffei Kubik Koffiei Padang. The data collection method was through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation, with a sample of 100 respondents. The data analysis methods used are external model analysis, good quality of fit, descriptive analysis, and structural model testing using SmartPLS 3. The results of this research indicate that service quality has a positive and insignificant influence on customer satisfaction. Trust has a positive and significant influence on satisfaction. Service quality has a positive and significant influence on consumer loyalty. Trust has a negative and insignificant influence on consumer loyalty. Customer satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on consumer loyalty. Service quality cannot mediate customer satisfaction and consumer loyalty. Trust is able to mediate customer satisfaction regarding consumer loyalty to Caffei Kubik Koffiei Padang. This research provides insight for the management of Caffei Kubik Koffiei Padang regarding the importance of increasing customer trust and satisfaction to build consumer loyalty.
