Abstract

In 2011, the residents of Ponorogo were taken aback by the sudden appearance of “Kampung Gila” in Paringan Jenangan Ponorogo village, where 60 individuals were identified as suffering from mental disorders. A survey conducted by the Malang Mental Hospital and the Ponorogo Regional Government revealed that a significant proportion of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia experienced discrimination, including being confined by their families and communities. Despite the long-standing nature of this issue, it was not addressed with any urgency. One strategy to address mental health issues in Paringan was based on a religious framework. This approach integrates medical treatment with Islamic religious education, with the objective of providing patients with guidance from both familial and religious sources. Parents, with varying degrees of religious comprehension and disparate parenting styles, assume a pivotal role in the coaching process. The results of this guidance have been favourable, with patients displaying increased independence, emotional stability and social sensitivity. Furthermore, they are able to engage in worship with greater regularity and dedication, and to live more productive and fulfilling lives without causing harm to their families or to the wider community.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 muncul sebagai upaya dari pengembangan kurikulum sebelumnya dalam rangka mewujudkan pembelajaran yang interaktif, efektif, dan tentunya lebih produktif. Berbagai keuntungan diperoleh guru dari kurikulum ini diantaranya yaitu guru bisa lebih leluasa dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar agar peserta didik dapat berkembang secara optimal. Penelitian disini spesifik membahas pengembangan bahan ajar PAI oleh guru di SD Kebonagung Madiun. Rumusan masalahnya mengenai kondisi objektif sumber bahan ajar PAI, problematika yang dihadapi guru PAI dalam pengembangan bahan ajar, dan yang terakhir tentang langkah-langkah yang dilakukan guru PAI untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar di SD Kebonagung Madiun. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Hasil yang didapat ialah kondisi objektif bahan ajar sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013, guru bertanggung jawab dalam menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran sedangkan pokok materi PAI yang telah ditentukan dikembangkan sendiri oleh guru. Problematika yang dihadapi guru yaitu penentuan bahan ajar yang relevan dengan standar kompetensi dan kompetensi dasarnya, sarana prasarana yang kurang, serta problem yang muncul dari peserta didik yang kurang paham terhadap materi ditambah dengan sumber bahan ajar yang terbatas. Langkah-langkah dalam pengembangan bahan ajar sudah relevan dengan standar proses, guru telah memilih bahan ajar sesuai dengan standar kompetensi, menggunakan strategi yang yang bervariasi serta menerapkan evaluasi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

This research was motivated by researchers' anxiety regarding the reduced attention of teachers to the importance of developing image building in Islamic schools. Image building or image formation, especially in educational institutions, plays an important role in building a school's reputation and increasing public trust and participation. However, the phenomenon observed by researchers shows that many teachers at Madrasah Aliyah pay little attention to this aspect, which can have an impact on public perception of the quality of the education provided. Therefore, this research aims to further explore teacher strategies in developing image building at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Islam Joresan Mlarak Ponorogo. The type of research used is qualitative field study using interview and observation data collection methods. The results of this research found that teachers' strategies in developing image building at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Islam Joresan include using the principle "al-muhafadhotu 'ala qodimis sholih wal akhdzu bil jadidil ashlah" which means "maintaining (maintaining) old values ​​or teachings good and adopt new and better values ​​or teachings," and empowering the environmental community at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Islam through teacher direction by the school principal.

Abstract

The importance of quality education in building a society that contributes to national development. The quality of education in Indonesia is currently still low. The problems often faced in the quality of education are economic factors and budget funds. Therefore, the government launched a compulsory education program and a free school program. This research aims to determine (1) the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam, (2) the positive and negative impact of free schools on the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam and (3) solutions to minimize the negative impact of free schools on the quality of education in Pagar Alam 1 Public High School. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are (1) the quality of education is very good, seen in every component of education, both input, process and output, (2) the positive impact is to provide opportunities for students who are less fortunate but have good academic and non-academic achievements to learn. at SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Alam, while there is no negative impact on the quality of education, and (3) the solution to minimize the negative impact of free schools on the quality of education is by coordinating with parents and guardians, monitoring student success levels and utilizing available facilities and infrastructure. there is a maximum.

Abstract

Baiturrahman TPA, which is located in Sambirejo hamlet, Cokromenggalan village, Ponorogo district, was established in 1955. TPA began to develop rapidly in 1988. In an educational institution, both formal and non-formal, of course there are several problems faced both in terms of learning strategies, facilities , educators and so on. Likewise, the Baiturrahman TPA also has a problem. The problem that is being faced is that students are not fluent in reading the Qur'an due to the lack of knowledge of students about makhorijul letters and tajwid knowledge. So that students in reading the Qur'an are in a hurry and do not pay attention to the length and the law of reading contained in the verse that is being read. Of these two problems, the researcher focuses more on the lack of knowledge of students about the science of recitation. The researcher gave an offer to the Baiturrahman TPA teacher. The offer is to use learning strategies in teaching tajwid. The strategy is to use a learning method. The method chosen by the researchers to use is the drill method. After the drill method runs in the TPA, students who take part in the TPA activities can follow it well. In addition, students can receive recitation material easily.

Abstract

Considering the various factors faced by students in the Tahfidz program, this research aimed to explore the role of self-intention as a mediator in the influence between self-competence, memorization methods, and the intensity of memorizing the Qur'an. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey research method to collect data based on purposive sampling with 45 out of 50 students in the tahfidz program at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Hasan Ponorogo. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire consisting of a Likert scale with four alternative answers. PLS-SEM analysis was used to analyze the data and test the conceptual model. The results of the analysis showed that self-competence and self-intention had no significant effect on the intensity of memorizing the Qur'an. However, this finding has practical implications, as it highlights the importance of self-intention in increasing the intensity of memorizing the Qur'an through self-competence and memorization methods. This underscores the need for setting clear goals and increasing motivation to instill an attitude of never giving up and trying to achieve memorization targets. Consistency and discipline are the primary keys to increasing the intensity of memorizing the Qur'an. In addition to self-competence and memorization methods, other factors can affect the intensity of memorizing the Qur'an, such as motivation, social support, and learning environment.

Abstract

Mental disorders occur in Ponorogo, precisely in Paringan village, Jenangan. Based on researchers' observations, it was known that the number of mental disorders sufferers was 60 people, from children to adults. In Paringan village, a Mental Health Assistance Health Center was established in 2011. Some efforts dealing with mental disorders include promotion or prevention, curative (treatment), and rehabilitation. These three were implemented in the family, institution, and community environment. For psychiatry, it was done as early as possible, repeatedly and consistently, to be realized in life in the future. The research method used is qualitative, with a case study approach in Paringan Mental Health Support Health Center. Based on an analysis of various findings in the field, the researchers found that the Islamic Religious Education approach model for children with mental disorders was carried out by looking at the causes of children's mental disorders and the treatment and rehabilitation processes children received. It would become a reference for the next step, then determine and develop various forms of religious development activities under the conditions and characteristics of the child. Medical treatments in the coaching process would accompany them because this coaching was not a preventive but a corrective and preservative effort against mental disorders.

Abstract

Islamic thought experiences varied dynamics, ups and downs. The clash with Western civilization, which has dominated world civilization, has caused Muslims to rethink their understanding of their religion. Conservative, traditionalist styles of thinking began to be abandoned in the Postmodern era. The tendency to criticize the establishment, modernism and traditionalism is increasingly becoming symptomatic nowadays. To find out about an Islamic boarding school-based educational institution, it is necessary to know the direction of Islamic thought in the Postmodernism era so that we can also know the direction of the Islamic movement in facing this era, especially at the Darul Huda Mayak Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School . The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the analysis state that this Islamic boarding school is based on a classical system and is always innovative following the challenges of current developments, with the motto " Ala Nahjis Salafiyatil Haditsah" Pondok Darul Huda will be ready to compete in the field of educational advancement while still maintaining classical values which have proven to be strong any time and circumstances.

Abstract

A mental disorder has been occurring in Ponorogo Regency. Based on a survey conducted by the Psychiatric hospitals of Malang and the Ponorogo Regional Government (2011) revealed that 60 people in Paringan Village have suffered mental disorders and were treated in a Psychiatric Hospital. However, the mental disorder patients would not be fully recovered from treatment and needed rehabilitation, whereas their families were mostly reluctant to accept them back. According to this problem, Ngudi Rahayu Institution in Paring was established to rehabilitate and provide intensive religious guidance to the ex-mental disorders patients for preparing them for socializing. This phenomenological research approach was conducted to expose religious subjects employed by Ngudi Rahayu Institute for rehabilitating ex-mental disorders patients and how does it implement, and its effect on mental health improvement. This study resulted that religious guidance subjects were adjusted with the patient's condition. Furthermore, its implementation was carried out by medical personnel and occupational therapy. The religious development strategy did not only focus on the patients but also the supervisor by increasing their religious knowledge competence. The effect of religious guidance on improving mental health is very significant, as the number of patients who had recovered and been successfully discharged with a stable and healthy mental state.

Abstract

The persistence of violent conflicts between silat schools in Madiun, Indonesia, poses a significant challenge to local harmony and social stability. Conventional security approaches, such as policing and legal prosecution, have proven insufficient and often exacerbate hostilities. This study aims to explore how non-formal Islamic education can serve as a strategy for conflict reconciliation among the two major silat schools, Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) and Setia Hati Winongo (PSHW). Employing a qualitative case study design with a phenomenological approach, the research involved field observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis to examine symbolic interactions within spiritual-cultural settings. The findings reveal that religious gatherings, cangkrukan (informal dialogues), and joint community rituals create shared symbolic meanings that strengthen fraternal bonds and reduce tensions. These activities foster a collective identity that transcends sectarian divisions, promoting peace education values such as forgiveness, mutual respect, and social cohesion. The study contributes to the growing literature on peacebuilding through faith-based non-formal education, offering a culturally sensitive model for conflict resolution. These insights may inform policymakers and community leaders seeking sustainable and dialogic approaches to social conflict mitigation in other multicultural settings.
