Abstract

This article aims to reveal the dynamics and breakthroughs in the application of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach in learning Arabic through Islamic studies at the Darul Ukhuwah for Girl 2 Malang. The focus of this study is directed at how the integration of Islamic content and Arabic language learning forms meaningful, functional, and encouraging students' language skills as a whole. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation that are analyzed in a descriptive-qualitative manner. The main informants consisted of KMI staff, Arabic teachers, Islamic studies teachers, and students. The main findings of this study show that the application of CLIL dynamically is able to improve students' listening and reading skills in understanding Arabic Islamic texts, as well as functional and scientific speaking and writing skills. CLIL also encourages intrinsic motivation and autonomy in learning Arabic, supported by a boarding school environment that implements language zone policies, muhadatsah habituation, and classical book learning. On the other hand, challenges such as language skills variations and media limitations are addressed through adaptive strategies such as simplification of language input and teacher training. The main argument of this article is that the CLIL approach is not only relevant to the learning context in formal schools, but also very effective in boarding school environments with the power of integrating Islamic content and lively language practices.Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dinamika dan terobosan penerapan pendekatan Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab melalui studi keislaman di Pondok Pesantren Darul Ukhuwah Putri 2 Malang. Fokus kajian ini diarahkan pada bagaimana integrasi konten keislaman dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab membentuk pembelajaran yang bermakna, fungsional, serta mendorong keterampilan berbahasa santri secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif. Informan utama terdiri dari staf KMI, guru Bahasa Arab, guru studi keislaman, dan santriwati. Temuan utama dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CLIL secara dinamis mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak dan membaca santri dalam memahami teks-teks keislaman berbahasa Arab, serta keterampilan berbicara dan menulis secara fungsional dan ilmiah. CLIL juga mendorong motivasi intrinsik dan otonomi belajar bahasa Arab, didukung oleh lingkungan pesantren yang menerapkan kebijakan zona bahasa, pembiasaan muhadatsah, dan pembelajaran kitab klasik. Di sisi lain, tantangan seperti variasi kemampuan bahasa dan keterbatasan media diatasi melalui strategi adaptif seperti penyederhanaan input bahasa dan pelatihan guru. Argumentasi utama artikel ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan CLIL tidak hanya relevan untuk konteks pembelajaran di sekolah formal, tetapi juga sangat efektif di lingkungan pesantren dengan kekuatan integrasi konten keislaman dan praktik bahasa yang hidup.

Abstract

Kemunculan virus corona memberikan dampak kepada selebgram atau influencer untuk selalu kreatif dalam memberikan pengetahuan dan informasi atau membuat hal baru menggunakan platform media sosial Instagram, sehingga banyak upaya-upaya dan ide yang muncul dan dilakukan oleh para selebgram ini. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan peran selebriti instagram (selebgram) dalam kampanye edukasi Covid-19 di platform media sosial Instagram pada masa pandemik. Metode yang digunakan adalah jenis pendekatan kualitatif metode studi kasus. Adapun, sumber data diperoleh melalui artikel jurnal ilmiah, berita, video, dan gambr yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat banyak cara yang dilakukan oleh beberapa selebgram untuk mengedukasi para pengikutnya tentang bahaya virus corona dan cara pencegahannya agar terhindar dari virus ini. Diantara tiga selebgram yang memiliki peran besar dalam mengedukasi masyarakat atau para pengikut instagram, diantaranya adalah selebgram atau pengusaha muda Awkarin, selebgram atau entrepreneur muda Rachel Vennya dan dokter gaul sekaligus relawan Covid-19 yaitu Dr. Tirta.

Abstract

In this digital era, the integration of technology in learning is very important. However, Al-Hikam Middle School in Jombang still do not maximize the use of technology in learning Arabic. The impact is that students are not able to achieve the learning targets that must be achieved because they often feel bored while learning. This research aims to explore the needs of teachers and students at Al-Hikam Middle School in Jombang to develop Arabic learning content based on Google Sites. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation. Triangulation is carried out to maintain the validity of the data. The results of this study show that teachers and students at Al-Hikam Middle School in Jombang need more interesting and interactive teaching materials because they still use printed modules. Based on the results of the needs analysis, a prototype of Arabic language learning content based on Google Sites was produced consisting of several types, including; vocabulary content, grammar, and four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) which are presented in the form of text, animated images, audio, video and also equipped with interactive quizzes.' From this study, it is hoped that there will be further research to test its feasibility and effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji inovasi pembelajaran Bahasa Arab melalui Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) yang diterapkan oleh guru-guru di Pondok Pesantren Darul Ukhuwah Putri 2 Malang. Isu penting yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah minat belajar Bahasa Arab yang sering dianggap sulit dan monoton, serta kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan relevansi dan keberhasilan pengajaran bahasa dalam konteks pendidikan keislaman. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menjadi relevan untuk dibahas guna mengeksplorasi bagaimana CLIL dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan mencapai tujuan pondok dalam mencetak santri yang mahir berbahasa Arab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan para guru, observasi kelas, dan analisis dokumen terkait. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan secara komprehensif pengalaman guru, strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi CLIL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CLIL secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi guru karena pembelajaran terasa lebih bermakna dan kontekstual. Guru menerapkan strategi beragam mulai dari penyusunan silabus terpadu, penggunaan metode variatif, media visual, pendekatan komunikatif, scaffolding, hingga evaluasi terpadu di kelas. Meskipun demikian, tantangan seperti heterogenitas pemahaman siswa, kesulitan mengartikan kosakata tafsir, dan adaptasi guru dari luar pondok juga ditemukan. Secara keseluruhan, CLIL terbukti mampu membangkitkan minat belajar Bahasa Arab siswa dan meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa mereka secara alami, mendukung tercapainya tujuan pendidikan pondok pesantren.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on problems that occurred in Indonesia where the form of evaluation to find out student learning outcomes is only based on intellectual intelligence and does not include multiple intelligences as a whole. So that the resulting scores can be said to be invalid by looking at the diverse intelligence backgrounds of students. Therefore, the researcher seeks to provide an overview of the form of the question through this paper. Teachers can use the form of questions according to the diverse intelligence of students with the aim of validly measuring student learning outcomes. This research aims to develop an assessment for learning the Arabic language based on the multiple intelligences initiated by Howard Gardner. This study uses a qualitative approach with desk research type. This research consists of identifying literature sources, collecting data, analyzing data, verifying and interpreting, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that assessing Arabic language learning based on multiple intelligence should not only be done with tests, but also with non-test activities. Because the assessment in the form of tests includes only linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligence, as well as visual-spatial intelligence. As for other intelligences, it is possible to conduct assessments in the form of tests other than tests. Apart from intellectual intelligence, there is also emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. The scores resulting from the evaluation of these two intelligences are included in the evaluation of students' attitudes.
