Abstract

The Arabic textbook MI Grade 1 KSKK is a book published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in the context of implementing KMA Number 183 of 2019 concerning the PAI Curriculum and Arabic Language in Madrasas. This article presents the results of the analysis of MI Class 1 KSKK Arabic textbooks using CEFR standards. CEFR stands for Common European Framework of Reference established by the Council of Europe in 2001 as a response to the importance of learning foreign languages in order to use them in everyday transactions, be it social, interaction and information transfer. The purpose of this article is to find out the description of the MI Class I Arabic textbook, then at what level is this book in the CEFR standard and how are the CEFR principles contained in it. In its writing, this article uses a literature research method (literature review) with a content analysis approach, where researchers analyze all the material in this MI Class 1 Arabic textbook. The results showed that the Arabic textbooks of MI grade 1 KSKK were categorized in levels A1 and A2 based on CEFR standards. In addition, this book has also fulfilled CEFR principle 6, including language activities, language processes, text, domain, language learning strategies, and language tasks.

Abstract

The tradition of uang panai is one of the traditions that is still preserved by the Bugis-Makassar community in marriage. This tradition is in the form of a sum of money the groom gives the bride as a sign of appreciation and seriousness to marry her. However, the tradition of uang panai represented in the movie “Uang Panai Maha(r)l” shows a shift in value and is not based on Islamic values contained in the sources of Islamic law, namely the Al-Quran and Hadith. This study aims to analyze the content of hadith about the tradition of uang panai in Bugis-Makassar marriage customs represented in the film “Uang Panai Maha(r)l”. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a qualitative content analysis technique. The results showed that the hadiths related to marriage do not contradict the tradition of uang panai as long as they are by Islamic teachings. However, the concept of uang panai in the movie “Uang Panai Maha(r)l” is depicted excessively and contains elements of coercion. Thus, the concept of uang panai in the movie is not by the meaning of the hadith, which recommends making it easier for each other to carry out marriage and walimah. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the tradition of uang panai in Bugis-Makassar wedding customs can be justified if it is carried out by Islamic teachings, namely the recommendation of marriage, the recommendation of facilitating marriage, and the recommendation of organizing walimah. Abstract

Arabic has an important role in global communication, including in the economic field. This is due to the rapid economic development of the Middle East which emphasizes the importance of mastering the Arabic language. One of the books that is a resource for learning Arabic for economic purposes is "Arabic Book for Special Purposes: Arabic for Economy" written by Dony Handriawan (2022) and published by Eureka Media Aksara. This study aims to analyze the quality of the book based on the 5C standard, identify aspects of the book that need to be strengthened based on the theory of the 5C standard, and provide recommendations to improve the quality of Arabic books for economic purposes. This research is literature research and uses content analysis techniques by paying attention to the instruments in the 5C standard. The results of this study show that the "Arabic Book for Special Purposes: Arabic for Economy" has met most of the standards in language teaching, especially in the aspects of communication, connections, comparisons, and communities. However, the book lacks emphasis on the cultures aspects of the Middle Eastern economy, which is an important area in learning Arabic for economic purposes. This lack of emphasis on the culture of the Middle Eastern economy is a gap between existing textbooks and international standards.Keywords: Arabic for Special Purposes, Arabic for Economic Purposes, Arabic Book Analysis, 5C Standards

Abstract

This research is based on the rampant use of Artificial Intelligence in learning in this digital era. There is no exception in learning Arabic. Various Artificial Intelligence can be used to perform certain tasks. Among them is ChatGPT. This study aims to test the accuracy of ChatGPT in analyzing Arabic Qowa’id from one of the texts in the book Qira’at ar-Rasyidah. This research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive method. The techniques used in collecting data are documentation and content analysis. The results of this study show that there is an accuracy between the results of Qowa’id detection by ChatGPT and the Qowa’id Theory proposed by experts. Of all the words that have been analyzed, 99% show suitability. However, as an Artificial Intelligence, of course, mistakes are still found even if it is only 1%. So from this research, it is hoped that readers can understand that ChatGPT can indeed be used in learning Arabic, one of which is to identify Qowa’id, However, a deeper correction is still needed. In addition, the researcher invited academics to conduct similar research to explore the potential use of other Artificial Intelligence that can be used in learning.

Abstract

برز الذكاء الاصطناعي كعنصر يؤثر على التغييرات الرئيسية بما في ذلك في قطاع التعليم. فتحت التطورات التكنولوجية، وخاصة الذكاء الاصطناعي، فرصا جديدة في مختلف المجالات، بما في ذلك تعليم اللغة. في تعلم اللغة العربية، تقدم الذكاء الاصطناعي حلولا مبتكرة لتحسين فعالية وتخصيص تعلم اللغة العربية. في تعلم اللغة العربية، غالبا ما تستخدم الذكاء الاصطناعي في تعلم القاعدة وترجمته ومحادثته وغيرها. يمكن أيضا استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي لتحديد كلمات معينة في الجمل العربية على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي مثل Twitter و Instagram و Facebook. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى شرح ووصف سمات الذكاء الاصطناعي التي تساعد على تعلم مهارات اللغة العربية. أوضحت نتائج الدراسة أن الذكاء الاصطناعي يتمتع بالعديد من المزايا التي يمكن الاستفادة منها في تعلم اللغة العربية، بما في ذلك؛ شات جي بي تي، كانفا، قطرب، تشكيل، قلم، Opexams, Breadth First Search ترجمة جوجل، ICSApp، و Chatbot. إن تطبيق التقنيات الجديدة والبرامج الجديدة له بطبيعة الحال آثار إيجابية وسلبية على حياة الإنسان. وبالمثل، فإن تطبيق الذكاء الاصطناعي في عالم التعليم له بالتأكيد تأثير على حياة الناس. تم شرح الآثار الإيجابية والسلبية في محتوى المقالة.

Abstract

Traditional language teaching methods in pesantren, which heavily emphasize grammar and translation, are often ineffective in developing real-world communication skills. The communicative approach offers an alternative by focusing on language use in practical, social contexts to build students' communicative competence, including discourse competence, sociolinguistic abilities, grammatical knowledge, and strategic competence. The aim of this study is to explain the model of a communicative approach on language teaching for speaking skill according to Finocchiaro and Brumfits theory, and to explain procedures that can be applied to students to improve students' language skills. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The results show that communicative approach emphasizes the importance of the ability to communicate effectively in the target language, where learners not only understand the rules of the language theoretically, but can also use the language in real-life situations. Communicative approach is related to students of pesantren who learn a second language, especially Arabic language for their daily activity and its done and can be implemented based on pesantren needs. Thus, the procedures for learning communicative language developed by Finochairo and Brumfit is suitable for a beginner language learning, especially students in pesantren.

Abstract

Kemunculan virus corona memberikan dampak kepada selebgram atau influencer untuk selalu kreatif dalam memberikan pengetahuan dan informasi atau membuat hal baru menggunakan platform media sosial Instagram, sehingga banyak upaya-upaya dan ide yang muncul dan dilakukan oleh para selebgram ini. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan peran selebriti instagram (selebgram) dalam kampanye edukasi Covid-19 di platform media sosial Instagram pada masa pandemik. Metode yang digunakan adalah jenis pendekatan kualitatif metode studi kasus. Adapun, sumber data diperoleh melalui artikel jurnal ilmiah, berita, video, dan gambr yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat banyak cara yang dilakukan oleh beberapa selebgram untuk mengedukasi para pengikutnya tentang bahaya virus corona dan cara pencegahannya agar terhindar dari virus ini. Diantara tiga selebgram yang memiliki peran besar dalam mengedukasi masyarakat atau para pengikut instagram, diantaranya adalah selebgram atau pengusaha muda Awkarin, selebgram atau entrepreneur muda Rachel Vennya dan dokter gaul sekaligus relawan Covid-19 yaitu Dr. Tirta.

Abstract

The focus of this article is to find out an overview of the applying kitab 'Abbir Lughataka! based on a communicative approach in muhādatsah usbū'iyyah activities at the Daarul Uluum Bogor Islamic Boarding School and identifying its impact on improving students' speaking skills. The subject of this study is a 9th-grade student of madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic boarding school Daarul Uluum Bogor using the muhadatsah guidebook 'Abbir Lughataka! Based on a communicative approach in muhādatsah usbū'iyyah activities. The research used in this paper is a descriptive qualitative approach with field research where data is collected through observation and interviews. Then in analyzing the data, qualitative descriptive analysis is used which includes several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study concluded that from the results of the implementation of the muhadatsah guidebook 'Abbir Lughataka! based on a communicative approach to grade 9 students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Daarul Uluum Islamic Boarding School Bogor in the activities of the muhādatsah usbū'iyyah program, has proven to have a positive impact on improving the speaking skills (maharah kalam) of students. This is evidenced by the results of an evaluation test trial through an oral exam (ikhtibār syafahiy) to measure the Arabic speaking skills of students after learning for approximately four weeks.   Keywords: Guidebook, Muhadatsah, Communicative Approach, Maharah Kalam

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design and develop a student Muhadatsah guidebook based on a Communicative Approach for students at the Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang Islamic Boarding School in Bogor. This research uses the research and development (RnD) method with the ADDIE model approach which consists of five stages, namely analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. This method was chosen to design and develop conversational teaching modules in muhadatsah activities to improve students' Arabic speaking skills. This research was carried out at the Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang Islamic Boarding School in Bogor with a total of 22 respondents. Data sources were obtained through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Then, the data obtained was analyzed using Miles and Huberman's qualitative research theory which included three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. This research resulted in a Muhadatsah Guidebook entitled 'Abbir Lughataka! based on the Communicative Approach of Finocchiaro and Brumfit theories, which have been considered feasible by material experts and media experts to be used as a guide for students in muhadatsah 'usbu'iyyah activities and to improve students' Arabic speaking skills (maharah kalam) at the Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang Islamic Boarding School Bogor. With this research, it is hoped that it can contribute to providing a solution for pesantren to solve existing problems and can develop the muhadatsah process of students to be more directed and meet the targets to be achieved. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang dan mengembangkan buku panduan Muhadatsah santri berbasis Pendekatan Komunikatif untuk santri di Pesantren Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development atau RnD) dengan pendekatan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu analyze (analisis), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), implement (implementasi), dan evaluate (evaluasi). Metode ini dipilih untuk merancang dan mengembangkan modul ajar percakapan dalam kegiatan muhadatsah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Arab santri. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pesantren Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang Bogor dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 22 santriwati. Sumber data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Kemudian, data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teori penelitian kualitatif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan Buku Panduan Muhadatsah berjudul ‘Abbir Lughataka! berbasis Pendekatan Komunikatif teori Finocchiaro dan Brumfit, yang telah dinilai layak oleh ahli materi dan ahli media untuk dapat digunakan sebagai pegangan bagi santri dalam kegiatan muhadatsah ‘usbu’iyyah dan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara (maharah kalam) bahasa Arab santri di Pesantren Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang Bogor. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan sumbangsih jalan keluar bagi pesantren untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada dan dapat mengembangkan proses muhadatsah santri menjadi lebih terarah dan terpenuhinya target yang ingin dicapai.

Abstract

The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform is present as a new alternative to Arabic learning. MOOC is a learning platform that can be accessed openly, and is available online for anyone, anytime, and anywhere. This study aims to explore the features and uses of online.arabicgampang.id MOOC platform in Arabic language learning. The researchers used descriptive qualitative research as a research approach and observation as a data collection technique. The data that has been collected is analyzed in three stages, namely data condensation, data presentation, and depiction and conclusion drawn. Researchers found that there are various benefits in the features and use of MOOC platforms in Arabic learning, namely accessible learning, learning with a communicative approach, comprehensive evaluation, and the existence of a learning community. So, this platform offers an easy, effective, and communicative way to learn Arabic. The platform is suitable for learners of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
