Abstract

This study aims to describe the thinking empowerment learning strategy implemented by a sixth-grade teacher at SDN 26 Mataram. The strategy is carried out through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) models, which encourage students to think critically, creatively, and reflectively. The teacher acts as a facilitator who creates an active and engaging learning atmosphere. This research uses a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The findings reveal that the strategy effectively increases student engagement, deepens conceptual understanding, and fosters independent learning. Despite challenges such as time constraints and preparation of learning media, the teacher overcomes them through reflection and effective time management Keywords: Learning Strategy, Critical Thinking, Independent Curriculum

Abstract

This study aims to identify elementary school students' understanding of mathematical concepts based on Neil D. Fleming's learning style theory (VARK), which consists of four main categories: Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, and Kinesthetic. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this research, with the subjects being sixth-grade students of SDN 14 Cakranegara. The research instruments included learning style questionnaires, mathematical concept comprehension tests, and interviews. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the majority of students had a kinesthetic learning style, indicating a preference for learning through physical activities and hands-on practice. Students with a kinesthetic learning style demonstrated a better understanding of mathematical concepts when learning methods involved physical activities. Additionally, several students exhibited a combination of visual, auditory, and read/write learning styles, reflecting variations in how they understand and apply mathematical concepts. Based on these findings, the study recommends that teachers implement varied teaching methods tailored to students' learning styles to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Character values are a set of attitudes, behaviors, and morals that guide individuals in acting and interacting in everyday life. Instilling character values from an early age is very important because it plays a role in shaping the personality of students so that they become individuals with noble character, are responsible, able to cooperate, and have the ability to think critically in facing various life problems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of character values in Pancasila Education learning at State Elementary School 6 Ampenan. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects of educators and fifth grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there areĀ  character values implemented in Pancasila Education learning, namely faith and piety, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, and critical reasoning. The values of faith and piety are reflected through prayer activities before learning and polite attitudes. The value of global diversity is seen from the attitude of respecting differences and tolerance. The value of mutual cooperation is evident in students' cooperation during group discussions. The value of independence is reflected in their responsibility in completing assignments and self-confidence. Meanwhile, the value of critical reasoning is evident in students' ability to ask and answer questions during the learning process.
