Abstract

This study aims to see an overview of the use of the right and left brain of STMIK Mataram students and how much it affects the achievement of their learning outcomes. This type of research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and test questions. The data analysis technique was carried out by using descriptive statistics and simple regression analysis to determine the closeness of the correlation coefficient between the independent variable (X), namely the level of use of the right brain and left brain and the dependent variable (Y), namely student learning outcomes. The results showed that in general, the level of use of the students' right brain was moderate with a percentage of 34.375%. The number of students who think using the right brain in the very high category is 6.25%, the high category is 31.25%, the low and very low category is 25% and 3.125%. The level of use of the students' left brain is classified as moderate with a percentage of 56.25%. Students who think using the left brain are in the very high category of 9.375%, the high category is 15.625%, the low and very low category is 12.5% ​​and 6.25%. Meanwhile, for the achievement of learning outcomes in general, the learning outcomes score was classified into the low category with a value range of 53 - 65 as many as 12 people (37.5%), 8 people (25%) and very high respectively. 4 people (12.5%). While the determinant coefficient obtained was 31.7%. In other words, that the use of the right brain and left brain has an effect of 31.7% on the calculus learning outcomes achieved by students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik aktivitas berpikir metakognisi dalam konteks sosial yang terlihat selama kegiatan diskusi berlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan bagaimana aktivitas berpikir metakognisi siswa dalam konteks sosial ketika melakukan pemecahan masalah matematika dalam kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari 5 siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan yang bervariasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes yang terdiri 5 masalah matematika. Kegiatan diskusi dalam kelompok direkam dan selanjutnya dilakukan wawancara tindak lanjut berdasarkan rekaman audiovisual tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas metakognisi siswa pada karakteristik berpikir awareness, regulation dan evaluation siswa dalam konteks sosial mencakup: (1) menyatakan pandangan berbeda, (2) memberikan penjelasan dan (3) mencari kesepakatan. Bagian transkrip hasil wawancara yang paling banyak terlihat dalam konteks sosial adalah mencari kesepakatan sebanyak 56%, menyatakan/ menafsirkan pandangan yang berbeda sebanyak 28%, dan memberikan penjelasan sebanyak 16%.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana perbedaan kemampuan metakognitif yang diwujudkan dalam sikap awarenes, regulation dan evaluation yang dimiliki siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan yang berbeda dalam melakukan problem solving. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan karena penelitian ini dilakukan dalam setting yang alamiah, peneliti akan memperhatikan setiap sikap/aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam melakukan problem solving secara diskusi kelompok tanpa ada perlakuan ataupun bimbingan sebelumnya. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 5 (lima) orang siswa kelas XI dengan tingkat kemampuan berbeda dan dikumpulkan dalam satu kelompok. Pemilihan dilakukan dengan melihat hasil belajar dan keaktifan dalam pembelajaran dengan bantuan pantauan dari guru mata pelajaran matematika. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui 5 tahap: Observasi, Dokumentasi, Tes (Pemberian masalah sebagai bahan diskusi), Rekaman Video dan Interview. Tes yang diberikan diselesaikan secara kelompok sebanyak 5 butir dan direkam secara keseluruhan untuk selanjutnya ditindaklanjuti dengan melakukan interview guna memilah dan memilih aktivitas siswa yang menunjukkan kemampuan awareness untuk memecahkan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 270 transkrip interview yang ada , aspek awareness yang ditunjukkan oleh kelima siswa adalah sebanyak 35 transkrip (13%), regulation 116 transkrip (42.9%) dan evaluation (119 transkrip (44.1%), Dengan rincian masing-masing siswa S1 sebanyak 50 transkrip (18,5%), S2 sebanyak 72 transkrip (26.7%), S3 sebanyak 25 transkrip (9.3%), S4 sebanyak  60 transkrip (22.2%) dan S5 sebanyak 63 transkrip (23.3%) Dengan kata lain semakin tinggi tingkat kemampuan siswa, semakin tinggi pula kemampuan metacognitive awareness, regulation, evaluation yang ditunjukkan.Kata Kunci: Metacognitive Awareness, Regulation, Evaluation dan Problem Solving  AbstractThe purpose of this study is to look at and describe how different metacognitive abilities are manifested in attitudes awarenes, regulations and evaluations that students have with different levels of ability to do problem solving. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. Qualitative approaches are used because this research is conducted in natural settings, researchers will pay attention to each attitude / activity carried out by students in performing problem solving in group discussions without any previous treatment or guidance. The subjects in this study were 5 (five) students of class XI with different levels of ability and collected in one group. The selection is done by looking at the learning outcomes and activeness in learning with the help of observations from mathematics teachers. The process of data collection is carried out through 5 stages: Observation, Documentation, Tests (Giving problems as discussion material), Video Recording and Interview. The given test is completed in groups of 5 items and recorded as a whole to then be followed up by conducting interviews to sort and select student activities that show awareness ability to solve problems. The results showed that out of 270 interview transcripts available, the aspect of awareness shown by the five students was 35 transcripts (13%), 116 transcript regulations (42.9%) and evaluations (119 transcripts (44.1%), with details of each student S1 as many as 50 transcripts (18.5%), S2 as many as 72 transcripts (26.7%), S3 as many as 25 transcripts (9.3%), S4 as many as 60 transcripts (22.2%) and S5 as many as 63 transcripts (23.3%). high level of student ability, the higher the metacognitive awareness, regulation, evaluation shown.Keywords: Metacognitive Awareness, Regulation, Evaluation dan Problem Solving

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research with 2 (two) cycles which aims to improve students' creative thinking abilities through contextual approaches in mixed count operations material with qualitative approach. Data collection is done through observation, evaluation tools, interviews, documentation, and worksheets. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive qualitative Data triangulation is used to test the validity of the data. The data obtained came from three different sources, observers, teachers, and students. This research show most students become active gradually in learning activities. With a contextual approach students are motivated in finding meaning and concepts, observing, analyzing, determining completion strategies and alternatives to find the final result. An increase in students' creative thinking abilities in the aspects of fluency and flexibility from the pre-action stage to the end of the second cycle with a percentage of 25% to 60% (fluency) and 17.5% to 55% (flexibility).

Abstract

This research was conducted to see how effective the use of media / teaching aids to improve student learning activities and outcomes in mathematics learning, especially in the ability to count addition and reduction of fractions. Learning activity intended here is how students can involve all aspects of psychophysics, both physical and spiritual so that accelerated changes in behavior can occur quickly, precisely, easily and correctly, both related to cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. This type of research is a classroom action research (CAR) which is part of an action research conducted by a teacher in class while teaching. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. A qualitative approach was used to process data from observations of student and teacher activities. While the quantitative approach is used to process the test result data to determine student learning outcomes. This research was conducted in 2 (two) cycles. Each cycle consists of 3 times face to face. In general, each cycle starts from the action planning, the implementation stage of the action / implementation, observation and evaluation to the reflection stage. Based on the results of research and data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of teaching aids can increase student learning activities with a percentage in the first cycle of 1.34% and the second cycle of 3.33%. Thus student learning activities in general have increased / increased by a percentage of 1.99%. From the Fair category in Cycle I it becomes the Very High category after cycle II.

Abstract

The implementation of this activity was carried out with the aim of improving the ability of ASM Mataram Banking Administration Management students in writing arithmetic operations using English both in mathematical notation and writing hundreds (hundreds) and thousands (thousands) in English. The stages of this activity begin with the initial stage (preparation), the core stage (implementation) and the final stage (evaluation). The initial stage is the preparation, at this stage the initial observation, the collection of material about the procedures for writing mathematical operations in English both writing mathematical notation and writing numbers in English and is equipped with questions of counting operations in English that are appropriate for the level students. The core stage is the implementation carried out by providing training in writing arithmetic in English through the game take a number for banking administration management students at ASM Mataram. The last stage is the evaluation carried out by giving some questions on the number counting operations in English that are done by students in accordance with the material that has been delivered, and comparing the results of the comparison before and after the training is given. Based on the implementation of the activity, the results showed that the arithmetic operations writing training had a good impact on mathematics and mastery of English. The addition of the game take a number aims to refresh the minds of students so that they can work on the questions while playing, as well as training the foresight, speed and accuracy in listening, writing, counting and adding numbers previously read in English.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan t pemecahan masalah matematika ditinjau dari ingkat kemandirian belajar (self regulated learning) siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XII. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui hasil pemecahan masalah secara tertulis dan wawancara serta perekaman secara audio visual. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan secara 4 (empat) tahap, yaitu: 1) Angket self regulated learning, 2) Tes tertulis (pemberian masalah matematika), 3) Rekaman audio visual dan 4) Wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif yang terdiri atas 3 tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Siswa dengan kategori self regulated learning tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik, sedangkan siswa dengan kategori self regulated learning yang sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang cukup baik, dan siswa dengan kategori self regulated learning yang rendah memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang kurang baik; 2) Siswa dengan kategori self regulated learning tinggi mampu menjalankan keempat tahapan pemecahanmasalah dengan sangat baik, 3) Siswa dengan kategori self regulated learning sedang mampu menjalankan dua atau tiga dari keempat tahapan pemecahan masalah dan 4) Siswa dengan kategori self regulated learning yang rendah hanya mampu menjalankan satu atau dua dari keempat tahapan pemecahan masalah dengan baik.

Abstract

Produksi Tempe merupakah salah satu jenis Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang memainkan peranan penting terhadap ekonomi Indonesia. Tempe sebuah produk makanan tradisional yang diminati oleh masyarakat lokal maupun luar daerah. Di Kekalik Grisak, terdapat UMKM Tempe Ibu Mariani yang telah berkontribusi dalam memproduksi tempe sekitar 16 tahun, menghadapi tantangan dalam manajemen keuangan termasuk penyusunan laporan harga pokok produksi. Tujuan Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pendampingan adalah Pelaku UMKM Tempe mampu memahami dan menyadari pentingnya penyusunan laporan harga pokok produksi serta mampu menghitung harga pokok produksi atas usaha yang dijalankan. Metode pelaksanaan pendampingan UMKM Tempe Ibu Mariani di Lingkungan Kekalik Grisak ini terbagi menjadi 3 (tiga) tahapan: 1) observasi; 2) pelaksanaan; dan 3) evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah Pelaku UMKM Tempe Ibu Mariani dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan keterampilan dalam perhitungan dan penyusunan laporan harga pokok produksi serta pelaku UMKM berkomitmen untuk menjalankan usahanya sesuai dengan konsep yang telah diajarkan guna meningkatkan penjualan serta mengoptimalkan laba.

Abstract

Training on the use of PhET Simulation for prospective elementary school teachers in 2024 aims to improve technical and pedagogical skills in teaching science. This training involved a series of planning, introductory, workshop, and evaluation sessions, with a focus on the use of interactive simulations as a learning aid. Evaluation results showed significant improvements in participants' understanding and confidence. Participants also showed greater creativity in designing interactive and interesting learning plans. Despite technical challenges and the need for additional support, it is hoped that this training will improve the quality of science education in Indonesia, motivating students to become more interested and achieve in the field of science. Ongoing support and technological infrastructure improvements are needed to ensure the positive impact of this training continues.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran berupa alat peraga merupakan komponen penting dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa, terutama di tingkat pendidikan dasar. Dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya konsep geometri sering kali sulit dipahami oleh siswa, sehingga diperlukan inovasi dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Geoboard, sebagai alat peraga manipulatif sederhana, dan telah terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep geometri melalui pengalaman secara langsung visual dan kinestetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru-guru di SDN Bonder Lombok Tengah dalam pembuatan dan penggunaan Geoboard sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini meliputi ceramah tentang media pembelajaran secara umum dan alat peraga geoboard ; praktik pembuatan Geoboard; dan simulasi penggunaannya dalam kelas dengan pendampingan tim pengabdian. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru mampu memahami dan mengaplikasikan penggunaan Geoboard dalam pembelajaran matematika, Pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan alat peraga, yang kedepannya dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.
