Abstract

This study examines the implementation of constructivism theory in moral learning to internalize progressive Islam's values at SD Muhammadiyah Suruh, Semarang Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. This research aims to gain an in-depth understanding of pedagogical practices. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers and principals, participatory observation in the classroom to observe teacher interactions and methods, and documentation analysis of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), teaching modules, and school programs. Data validity was established through source triangulation and confirmation with respondents. The results indicate that implementing constructivism encourages active, participatory, and contextualized moral learning. Methods such as values discussion, role simulation, and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) are applied to facilitate students to solve real moral problems. In addition, reflective activities such as daily moral journals and explicit integration of the values of Islam Berkemajuan significantly deepen the internalization of values. Despite some challenges, such as teachers' lack of understanding of constructivism methods and limited facilities, this study highlighted effective concrete solution strategies, including continuous teacher training, development of specific morals assessment rubrics, utilization of relevant but straightforward learning media, and initiation of collaborative programs between school and parents to integrate education at home. The findings conclude that the constructivism approach, supported by the implementation of strategic solutions, effectively contributes to the formation of student characters who are noble and responsive to the challenges of the times by the ideals of progressive Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of learning design applied by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at the Junior High School (SMP) level. The focus of this study is to determine (1) How is the process of preparing learning design by PAI teachers in Semarang Regency, (2) How is the implementation of learning design in the learning process in the classroom, (3) Is there a gap between the design and implementation of learning, (4) the factors causing the gap, and (5) the impacts arising from the gap on the quality of PAI learning. The research method uses a mix of methods through qualitative and survey instruments. Data were collected by distributing closed questionnaires to 34 PAI teachers in several randomly selected areas. The results of the data analysis showed that the implementation of learning design by PAI teachers was in the "quite good" category, with an average score of 73.5%. The planning aspect obtained the highest score, while the learning evaluation aspect showed the lowest score. These findings indicate the need for improvements in learning evaluation and strengthening professional training to support the effectiveness of PAI learning design in junior high schools.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the application of Michael Riffaterre's semiotic theory to the poem Tukhatibu al-Mar'ah al-Miṣriyah by Malak Hifni Nasif, an Egyptian-born feminist fighter. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that focuses on narrative accompanied by detailed sentence descriptions.  The results of this study show that through heuristic and hermeneutic readings it is revealed that the poem reflects the poet's message or advice to Egyptian women in 1900, in which many women began to leave their headscarves as a symbol of feminism.  The matrix is ​​in the form of the poet's hopeful advice for Egyptian women.  The model is in the form of the feminist movement, and the Variants are found in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th stanzas, as well as the Hipogram in this poem, which is a book by the previous poet entitled "an-Nisaiyat".

Abstract

Bangsa Indonesia terdiri atas masyarakat yang majemuk. Kemajemukan tersebut jika tidak disikapi secara tepat akan menimbulkan berbagai persoalan. Konsep agama yang inklusif perlu ditanamkan supaya tidak menimbulkan radikalisme, ekstremisme, terorisme. Konsep tersebut yaitu Wasathiyah atau moderasi beragama. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu melakukan kajian tentang konsep Wasathiyah pendidikan agama islam dalam konteks globalisasi dan multikultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi pustaka. Proses pelaksanaan penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) reduksi data, menyeleksi data dengan kategori tertentu; (2) penyajian data, data temuan penelitian dipaparkan secara sistematis dan jelas; dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama, tantangan pendidikan Islam di era globalisasi yaitu (a) kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi; (b) demokratisasi; dan (c) kemerosotan moral. Kedua, terdapat tiga pilar dalam menangkal radikalisme, (1) pilar adil; (2) pilar keseimbangan; dan (3) pilar toleransi. Ketiga, terdapat tiga strategi dalam memperkuat moderasi beragama, (1) memperkuat konsep moderasi; (2) mengembangkan muatan kurikulum; dan (3) mengoptimalkan pembelajaran pendidikan agama islam. Keempat, terdapat karakter yang perlu ditanamkan dalam pendidikan di era globalisasi yaitu (1) Tawasuth (pertengahan); (2) Tatsamuh (toleran); (3) Tawazun (seimbang); dan (4) I’tidal (konsisten, tegas dan berlaku adil).
