Abstract

The growth of the skin care industry in the digital era has encouraged the emergence of various aggressive promotional strategies, including overclaim practices in product advertisements. This study aims to examine the form, impact, and ethical and legal implications of overclaiming practices in skincare product advertisements in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature study, this research examines seven scientific articles as well as relevant legal regulations to identify patterns of irregularities in the promotion of skin care products. The results of the analysis show that overclaims not only violate the principles of marketing ethics such as honesty, transparency, and social responsibility, but also contradict the provisions of consumer protection law, particularly Law Number 8 Year 1999 and BPOM Regulations. This is reinforced by weak supervision of digital promotions and the involvement of influencers without validation of information. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening regulations, increasing consumer literacy, and enforcing business ethics in building a fair and accountable marketing ecosystem in the beauty industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management framework at Markisew, an outdoor and picnic equipment rental MSME in Bandung Regency, to identify, evaluate, and formulate risk treatment strategies. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, where the identification of 60 risk events was classified into six main categories. Risk analysis and evaluation were conducted using a 5x5 Matrix, grouped into three priority levels: Low, Medium, and High. Evaluation results indicate that most risks fall into the Medium level (35 risks), but the main focus is directed towards six High category risks (Score 15-25), dominated by Market (R07), Operational (R36, R31), and Human Resources (R41) factors. The most crucial risks are weather dependency and extreme weather impact (R07, R36) and owner burnout risk (R41). The recommended risk treatment strategies focus on indoor product diversification for market factors, strengthening contracts and guarantees for operational and financial aspects, and recruitment and task delegation to address key man risk. This research concludes that the implementation of ISO 31000 is highly relevant for MSMEs to achieve operational stability and business sustainability.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the ISO 31000 risk management framework in the operations of a local Event Organizer (EO), case study Auliacorp Bandung, to address a research gap in Indonesia's small and medium-sized event service sector. The EO sector faces high risk exposure but often neglects formal frameworks. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Risk analysis was performed using a 5x5 matrix (Likelihood × Impact) which classified 35 risk events into Low (1-6), Medium (7-14), and High (15-25) categories. The evaluation results show that most risks (19 risks) are at a Medium level, but management must focus attention on eight High-category risks. The most critical risks are dominated by Financial issues (R16: Client payment failure, score 20) and Human Resources (R11 & R13: Crew fatigue and personnel shortage, score 15-16), followed by Operational risks (R02: Rundown error, score 16). The recommended risk treatments focus on strengthening contract clauses, payment verification, refining technical SOPs, and developing a freelance crew backup system. The study concludes that the implementation of the ISO 31000 framework is highly relevant and urgent for Auliacorp to ensure operational sustainability, minimize financial losses, and maintain the company's reputation.

Abstract

Non-MSG catering is increasingly popular because it offers more natural, safe, and healthy food, especially for children who require nutritional intake without excessive use of additives. These advantages make non-MSG catering more valuable in providing food that meets the nutritional needs of school children. However, despite its good food quality, most catering businesses still lack structured risk management and tend to rely on experience to address operational challenges. Dapur Vani, a non-MSG catering business, has implemented basic risk management efforts, but has not adhered to standard standards. Therefore, this study focuses on the implementation of an ISO 31000:2018-based Risk Management System to strengthen risk control in operational processes. The study used qualitative descriptive methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Field findings indicate that the most frequent risks include human error in the production process, delays in raw materials, and late deliveries. Overall, catering businesses also face potential risks related to finances, service quality, compliance, occupational safety, and reputation. Through the implementation of the ISO 31000 process, these risks can be identified and managed more systematically and comprehensively.
