Abstract

The growth of maggot cultivation as an alternative feed source is increasing in response to the demand for sustainable organic waste management solutions. However, the drying process remains a major challenge, especially for small and medium-scale operations. This study aims to design and develop a 20-kg capacity rotary maggot dryer that is efficient, energy-saving, and suitable for community-scale production. The design method includes user needs analysis, material selection, CAD-based design simulation, and testing tool performance. The results indicated that the dryer can reduce maggot moisture content within an average drying time of 3 hours at 60–70°C with relatively low energy consumption. This innovation is expected to improve maggot production efficiency and promote appropriate technology for sustainable alternative feed development at the community level.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Read Answer Discuss Explain and Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by interactive multimedia on students' environmental literacy in science learning. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a pre-experimental type. The design used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study was 25 grade IV students at SDN Cilaku, Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency. The sampling technique uses a total sampling technique. The instruments used are observation sheets and test sheets. The data collection technique in this research is an observation sheet used to observe student and teacher activities in learning and a test sheet used to measure students' environmental literacy. Data analysis techniques use validity tests, reliability tests, item difficulty level tests, data normality tests, and t tests. Data analysis in this research used Microsoft Excel 2021. The results of research using the t test, students' environmental literacy showed that t_count = 7.509 and t_table = 1.71. So, t_count > t_table then H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of using the Read Answer Discuss Explain and Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by interactive multimedia on students' environmental literacy in science and science learning in Class IV SDN Cilaku.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Basic Automotive Engineering Works (PDTO) on hand tools material in class X TKR 1 SMK Negeri Situraja. The main problem identified was the lack of interest, enthusiasm, and attention of students during learning. The PBL model was applied to improve student motivation and learning outcomes. Data analysis showed that the use of PBL was very efficient, as evidenced by the results of the t-test which showed tcount = 26.58, greater than ttable = 23.267, so the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In addition, the average pretest score increased from 41.5 to 77.3 in the posttest, indicating a significant increase in learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the PBL model can effectively improve student learning achievement.
