Abstract

The Montigo Resorts Nongsa, Batam is the only five star resorts in Batam, Riau Archipelago. As one of the hotel that operate under the management of KOP Group, this hotel has attract many attention and start from the opening day the hotel has already serve many guests, not only local but also international guests. As a five star hotel, undoubtedly guests that come to the hotel have high expectation of what they would experience in here. To make sure that guests’ satisfactions are fulfilled, having a staff who can give a good personalized service is one of the important aspect. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of personalized service towards guest satisfaction in front office department. This research is conducted by using descriptive and causal research method the data analysis method in this research are descriptive analysis method, validity test, reliability test, normality test, descriptive statistics, coefficient of correlation test, coefficient of determination test, linear regression analysis and Z-test. After doing research and data analysis, the writer summarized the questionary result into a conclusion. The writer found out that Personalized Service has an influence towards Guest Satisfaction at The Montigo Resorts Nongsa, Batam, but some problems often arise as the result of staffs being less vigilant on several aspects of implementing the personalized service. Based on the existing theories, the writer stated some recommendation to the hotel about what they could do to get the maximum result for the guest satisfaction that is influenced by personalized service, for the guest and the hotel itself.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of the work environment on employees in the Pastry Department of The Apurva Kempinski, Bali. A good work environment has been recognized as essential in increasing employee productivity. Employee productivity is a critical element in achieving organizational success. Therefore, companies often strive to create a conducive work environment to improve the quality of employee work. The research method used is descriptive and causal, with various data analysis techniques, including correlation tests, determination tests, and linear regression analysis. The analysis results show a robust positive relationship between the work environment and employee productivity, with a correlation coefficient of 0.732. These findings indicate that improving the work environment can positively impact employee productivity. This study provides an essential contribution to understanding the importance of a conducive work environment in increasing employee productivity in the hotel industry. Recommendations are recommended for similar companies to pay attention to and improve the work environment to increase employee productivity. Abstract

This study aims to analyse how risk management contributes to the sustainability of hotel operations amid economic uncertainty. Unstable economic conditions affect the hospitality sector, making it important for hotel managers to identify, evaluate and manage risks effectively to maintain operational continuity. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method on several star-rated hotels in Medan City that are affected by economic uncertainty. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, as well as document analysis related to risk management and operational sustainability strategies implemented. The results showed that hotels that have a structured risk management system and are responsive to economic changes can survive better in the face of uncertainty. Strategies such as service diversification, efficient cost management, and technology utilisation in operations are the main keys to sustainability. This research contributes to hotel managers in developing best practices in risk management to face the challenges of a changing economy

Abstract

Vocational education must adapt to the demands of the industrial era by integrating academic mastery with practical competencies aligned with industry standards. This community service initiative involves collaboration between SMK Tritech Informatika Medan and a partner university to improve students’ performance in the Accounting Competency Test (UKK). The program focuses on enhancing students’ understanding of accounting concepts and practical applications through intensive mentoring, simulation-based training, and curriculum alignment. The activities engaged 12 students and several instructors through methods such as workshops, guided practice, discussions, and assessments. University lecturers and students served as academic facilitators, offering innovative and interactive learning approaches. The results, measured through pre-test and post-test instruments, indicate a significant improvement in students’ comprehension, confidence, and readiness for the UKK. Furthermore, the program strengthened teachers’ pedagogical capacity and enriched curriculum design with an industry-based perspective. This collaborative model demonstrates the effectiveness of structured synergy between vocational schools and higher education in shaping job-ready graduates and should be considered for wider application across different vocational fields.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of brand image and product quality on sales performance at UD. UMEGA Roti Kacang Hj. Eliya Lubis in Tebing Tinggi. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews involving consumers of Roti Kacang Hj. Eliya Lubis. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The findings reveal that both brand image and product quality have a positive and significant effect on sales. Among these, product quality plays a more dominant role in driving sales growth, indicating that consistent product excellence is critical to sustaining consumer interest and loyalty. Conversely, while brand image also positively influences sales, its impact is comparatively weaker, suggesting the need for strategic enhancement of brand perception. Strengthening both dimensions is essential for maintaining competitiveness and ensuring sustainable business development in an increasingly dynamic market environment.
