Abstract

Employees are one of the important elements in every organization. Without employees, it will be difficult for organization to achieve their goal in this tight business competition. Based on the initial data that obtain in this research, it is know that there is a employees turnover every year in CV. Makmur Jaya Medan. One of the factors is due to employees in this company have a low emotional intelligence and can't commit in one organization for long term. Therefore, the problem of this research is to find "Is there relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational commitment at CV. Makmur Jaya Medan?". Emotional Intelligence generally assumed as an individual capability to recognize its own emotion and others, but it can become influential tools in the Human Resource (H.R.) for managing employees. Emotional Intelligence can motivate employees to become aware with themselves, capable in taking responsibility of their own work and become more commit towards the organization. In this research, the writer use census sampling which takes all 39 employees as a respondent. The method of collecting data is based on primary data and secondary data. In analyzing questionnaires, the writer use validity test, reliability test, statistic test, correlation test, determination test, normality test, linear regression, and hypothesis test to analyze the questionnaires. The result of this research is that emotional Intelligence has a 64.9% relate towards organizational commitment based on determination test at CV. Makmur Jaya Medan. Z counted ≥ +Z table (4.975 ≥ 1.96), means the Null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the Alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In conclusion, the writer would like to give recommendation for the company's leader to become flexible leader, listen to the employees, giving a clear feedback and respect to his employees. With that, the employees will feel that they still have value in this company. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Commitment

Abstract

Mostly, home conflict just spills over to work area and job stress spills over to home. This calls work-life conflict. As company that specializes in transportation and construction services, CV Saudara Jaya Abadi Tama – Medan is facing problem with its employees. To solve this problem, it is become a priority for company’s management and employees to know what factors that causing work life conflict and understand on how to handle it. In this research, writer uses descriptive research design in collecting, classifying, and analyzing the data. The first method refers to descriptive study which provides explanation of the variable work life conflict and employees’ performance theories. The second method refers to correlative research since the purpose is to find the correlation between independent and dependent variables..

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja. Hal ini diyakini bahwa kepuasan kerja dapat memotivasi karyawan untuk bekerja keras dan menghasilkan ide-ide baru untuk membantu perusahaan mencapai tujuannya sesuai dengan tugas dan tanggung jawab masing-masing pekerja. Kompensasi, dan Lingkungan Kerja merupakan variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penciptaan hipotesis mengenai pengaruh antara variabel untuk digunakan dalam penelitian selanjutnya adalah tujuan dari artikel ini. Kompensasi berdasarkan kepuasan kerja karyawan dan dampak lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan merupakan temuan dari tinjauan pustaka artikel ini.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi dari kondisi guru-guru di SMP Swasta Dharma Putra Medan yang dominan berlatar non kependidikan sehingga membutuhkan pelatihan untuk menyusun instrumen Asesment Autentik. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini yaitu melalui penyampaikan makalah dan workshop. Proses pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini memakai metode penyampaian makalah tatap langsung, diskusi, dan dilanjutkan pendampingan menyusun instrumen autentik. Masyarakat mengikuti kegiatan dengan antusias, ditunjukan dengan keaktifan peserta dalam diskusi ketika penyampaian makalah dan juga penyusunan intrumen. Solusinya adalah dengan memaksimalkan grup wa dan memberikan rekaman video kegiatan. Adapun manfaat dari kegiatan ini guru-guru di SMP Swasta Dharma Putra Medan dapat menyusun intrumen autentik dengan baik sesuai mata pelajaran yang diampu.

Abstract

customer's expectations. It is the group of features and characteristics of a saleable good which determine its desirability and which can be controlled by a manufacturer to meet certain basic requirements. Research is conducted at PT. Lontar Papyrus Pulp and Paper Medan which having problem with the customers’ purchase intention because of the product quality of the company. The indicators of variable X (Product quality) are performance, features, conformance, reliability, durability, serviceability, aesthetics, and customer perceived quality. The indicators of variable Y (Customer Purchase Intention) are product orders, customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat order. The population that the writer uses is the customers of PT. Lontar Papyrus Pulp and Paper Medan which are 92 people. To determine sample size, use simple random technique which all population member has same chance to be selected as sample. The results of the data calculations are product quality has relationship with purchase intention which can be seen from hypothesis test and has a positive and significantly strong relationship with purchase intention from correlation test and linear regression equation. The writer give several recommendations which make sure they sell all products in a good and complete condition to customers, check the products so that they can do all the features for its intended purpose, provide a clear and trusted warranty for certain period of time to customers, and may regularly to do product quality check up on the products they offering to the customers.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how extrinsic rewards, intrinsic rewards, and levels of work engagement contribute to the psychological well-being of employees in the campus environment of the ITB Business Institute. The research method used is a survey using questionnaires distributed to employees in various departments and units on campus. Extrinsic awards are evaluated through financial recognition and other material awards, while intrinsic awards include recognition of achievement, personal development, and a sense of accomplishment. Job engagement is measured through job satisfaction, commitment to work, and identification with organizational values. The collected data was analyzed using regression techniques to identify the relationship between independent variables (extrinsic rewards, intrinsic rewards, and work engagement) and dependent variables (psychological well-being). The findings of this study are expected to provide in-depth insights into the factors that affect the psychological well-being of employees on the campus of the ITB Business Institute. The results of this study are expected to provide recommendations to campus management in improving reward strategies and work engagement management to support the psychological well-being of employees. The practical implications of this research are expected to help create a more satisfying and productive work environment for all campus members.

Abstract

Nurse Retention is the company's ability to retain employees who have the potential to remain loyal to the company for a longer period of time. This study aims to determine the effect, work stress, organizational commitment compensation on nurse retention in hospitals. This research is a quantitative study with an associative approach. The population of this study amounted to 80 nurses. In this study, the sample taken was all nurses who were the target of the study, totaling 80 nurses. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis tools equipped with classical assumption tests. Partial analysis results show that job stress, compensation and organizational commitment have a significant effect on nurse retention.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan teknologi ORDBMS dalam manajemen integritas data serta implikasi dari implementasi teknologi tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, fakta sebagai pertimbangan dasar dalam implementasi teknologi ini dikumpulkan. Pendekatan ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis penerapan teknologi ORDBMS dengan membandingkannya dengan RDBMS. Aspek perbandingannya adalah perbedaan pada manajemen integritas data dan pengaruh implementasi ini terhadap waktu eksekusi. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa ORDBMS memiliki beberapa angka yang tidak sesuai dengan peran normalisasi seperti atribut multinilai, tabel bersarang, tipe data yang ditentukan pengguna, dan pewarisan. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau pengaruh penerapan angka-angka ini terhadap integritas data dan kinerja basis data.

Abstract

Vocational education must adapt to the demands of the industrial era by integrating academic mastery with practical competencies aligned with industry standards. This community service initiative involves collaboration between SMK Tritech Informatika Medan and a partner university to improve students’ performance in the Accounting Competency Test (UKK). The program focuses on enhancing students’ understanding of accounting concepts and practical applications through intensive mentoring, simulation-based training, and curriculum alignment. The activities engaged 12 students and several instructors through methods such as workshops, guided practice, discussions, and assessments. University lecturers and students served as academic facilitators, offering innovative and interactive learning approaches. The results, measured through pre-test and post-test instruments, indicate a significant improvement in students’ comprehension, confidence, and readiness for the UKK. Furthermore, the program strengthened teachers’ pedagogical capacity and enriched curriculum design with an industry-based perspective. This collaborative model demonstrates the effectiveness of structured synergy between vocational schools and higher education in shaping job-ready graduates and should be considered for wider application across different vocational fields.
