Abstract

This community service activity aimed to strengthen the values of Pancasila among members of the Paskibra team in Ciomas Sub-district, Bogor Regency. The selected high school students, after passing the selection process, participated in a weekly training program that focused on ideological, leadership, and national character education. This was followed by an intensive training phase conducted seven days before the Indonesian Independence Day celebration on August 17th. The method used was Community-Based Research (CBR), involving collaboration between academics, community leaders, and local government. Training materials were based on national guidelines issued by the Agency for the Implementation of Pancasila Ideology Development (BPIP) and were adapted to the local context. The results showed increased understanding and internalization of Pancasila values such as nationalism, discipline, cooperation, and leadership among the participants. The activity not only improved their performance in ceremonial duties but also shaped their character as future leaders. This program demonstrates the effectiveness of integrating national ideology education into youth leadership activities.

Abstract

Humans are monodualistic beings who have roles as individuals and social beings. As individuals, humans are given the intellect, thoughts, and feelings to develop themselves and meet their life needs independently. As social beings, humans live in society, nation, and state, so they need each other. In modern society, various organizations have emerged, including government organizations that according to the political trias consist of the legislature, executive, and judiciary. At the highest executive level there is a president, while at the village level there is a village head. The Village Head, who is democratically and traditionally elected, plays an extension of the community to regulate, maintain, and motivate residents in the development process. The success of village development is highly dependent on the leadership of the Village Head in mobilizing community participation. As God's creatures with the highest degree, humans have the responsibility as caliphs on earth to maintain the balance and continuity of life. In everyday life, the essence of human beings as individuals and social beings is obvious; When faced with difficulties, human beings need the help of others, while in personal affairs, they tend to maintain privacy as a form of individuality. This balance between individual and social roles is the basis for the progress of society, including at the village level, where cooperation between leaders and citizens is the key to the success of sustainable development.

Abstract

According to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) and Wikipedia, politics (from the Greek politikos, meaning “of, for, or relating to citizens”) is the process of forming and distributing power in society, including decision-making, particularly within the state, and represents an effort to combine various definitions known in political science as the art and science of achieving power through constitutional and non-constitutional means. Politics can be viewed from different perspectives: as citizens’ efforts to realize the common good (Aristotle’s classical theory), as the administration of government and the state, as activities aimed at gaining and maintaining power in society, and as the process of formulating and implementing public policy, all of which require understanding key elements such as political power,  legitimacy, political systems, political behavior, participation, processes, and the dynamics of political parties; meanwhile, Hans J. Morgenthau in Politics Among Nations defines politics as a struggle for power. Local wisdom, according to the KBBI, is the maturity of society at the local community level, reflected in attitudes, behaviors, and perspectives that support the development of local potential and resources (both material and non-material) as a force for realizing positive change and contributing to national strength for a more advanced and modern nation based on the ideology of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service program is designed to increase the quantity and quality of pure coconut oil production. through a partnership with Mitra Mina Malole. Methodology/approach: A participatory approach is implemented through training on VCO fermentation technology, mentoring on the use of appropriate tools, and regular implementation evaluations. The implementation team, comprising lecturers and students, collaborates directly with the partner community to transfer technology and monitor production outcomes. Results/findings: The community service program demonstrated an increase in production capacity, from 10–13 bottles per day to 20–25 bottles in 100 mL packaging, as well as improved product quality, resulting in a more hygienic and high-quality product. The product has obtained a P-IRT label and permit, and marketing has begun to expand, contributing to increased income and welfare for the local community. Conclutions: Community partnerships through appropriate technology and training have successfully improved the quality and production capacity of Virgin Coconut Oil in Ingguinak Village, increased family income, strengthened local business institutions, and expanded market access with more competitive and hygienic products. Limitations: The limited time for implementation means that ongoing support is still very much needed. Limited access to logistics and infrastructure in remote areas means that product distribution is not yet optimal. Contribution: This Program provides tangible socio-economic impacts for coconut farming communities. This program's recommendations can serve as a reference for developing broader community service policies and practices, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening local natural resource-based community economies.
