Abstract

This study aims to develop a website-based interactive media that meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes of class V of elementary school on the learning material of facts and opinions The study employed the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) However, this study was limited to the development stage, including limited-scale testing in the elementary school setting after the feasibility test. The feasibility of the website-based interactive media was evaluated by expert validators The validation results showed an average score of 96,25%, which is categorized as highly feasible for use by both teachers and students in elementary schools. To assess practicality, the researcher utilized a teacher observation sheet, which showed a total score of 47 out of a maximum of 48, with an average practicality percentage of 97,91%, indicating a highly practical category. Regarding effectiveness, implementation in class V of SDN 90 Sipatana, Gorontalo City, was measured using pretests and post-tests. The results showed an increase in the average score from 38,5% (pretest) to 86,5% (post-test), with a gain of 47,5%. The effectiveness level of the website-based interactive media reached 76,61%, indicating that it is effective in improving students' learning outcomes on the learning material of facts and opinions and is suitable for use in elementary school learning.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is the initial learning conditions by using bilingual picture storybooks at SDN (State Elementary School) 2 Limboto Barat, how to develop bilingual picture storybooks for grade IV students of SDN 2 Limboto Barat, and the feasibility of bilingual picture storybooks for grade IV students of SDN 2 Limboto Barat. This research aims to describe the initial learning conditions using bilingual picture storybooks at SDN 2 Limboto Barat, develop bilingual picture storybooks for grade IV students of SDN 2 Limboto Barat, and describe the feasibility of bilingual picture storybooks for grade IV students of SDN 2 Limboto Barat. The method used is a development research method that uses the Thiagarajan (1974) model design, the 4D model, which consists of 4 stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research findings demonstrated that the development of bilingual picture storybooks based on media expert validation obtained a percentage of 96% (very feasible), linguist validation obtained a percentage of 88% (very feasible), practitioner expert validation in terms of language and media obtained a percentage of 100% (very feasible). This validation obtained an average percentage of 96% (very feasible). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the development of bilingual picture storybooks is very feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk “ meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa dengan melalui media Big Book di kelas III di SDN 16 Dungingi.”  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, tes membaca dan dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas III di SDN 16 Dungingi Kota Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada observasi awal bahwa dari 30 siswa yang mampu membaca hanya 13 siswa atau 43% dan tidak mampu 17 siswa atau 57%. Pada siklus I pertemuan pertama berjumlah 9 siswa atau 45% yang mampu membaca dan ada 11 orang siswa atau 55%  yang belum mampu membaca. Pada siklus I pertemuan kedua siswa yang mampu membaca berjumlah 15 atau 65% dan 8 atau 35% terdapat siswa yang belum mampu membaca. Pada siklus II pertemuan kepertamana mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan yaitu siswa yang mampu berjumlah 16 siswa dengan presentase 76% dan terdapat 5 siswa dengan presentase 24% yang belum mampu membaca. Pada siklus II pertemuan kedua berjumlah 19 siswa atau 95% mampu membaca dan terdapat 1 siswa atau 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui Media Big Book dapat meningkat kemampaun membaca siswa teks bacaan di kelas III SDN 16 Dungingi Kota Gorontalo

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using seashells as a learning medium in improving the ability of fifth-grade students to create visual art at SDN 24 Dungingi, Gorontalo City. The main problem addressed in this research is the low level of students’ creativity and skills in producing art works. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and creativity tests. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of SDN 24 Dungingi. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in students’ ability to create visual art after the implementation of seashell-based learning media. In the first cycle, 11 students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), representing 59%. In the second cycle, the number increased to 18 students, equivalent to 95%. These findings suggest that the use of natural materials such as seashells provides contextual learning experiences, enhances students’ creativity, and encourages active participation in the learning process. Therefore, the use of seashells as a learning medium is proven to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in visual arts.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Student Worksheets (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) for the topic of cursive handwriting (connected upright letters) for second-grade students at SDN 3 Bulango Utara. The background of this research is based on the low level of students' cursive writing skills, which is attributed to the limited availability of instructional materials, particularly the absence of specifically designed and systematic worksheets. Additionally, the learning process still heavily relies on standard student textbooks, leading to boredom and decreased learning motivation among students. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this research are second-grade students at SDN 3 Bulango Utara. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis is conducted to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed worksheets. The results indicate that the developed student worksheets for cursive handwriting are feasible to be used as learning media, practical in their implementation, and effective in improving students’ cursive writing skills. Therefore, the developed worksheets can serve as an alternative instructional material to support Indonesian language learning in elementary schools, particularly in enhancing students’ early writing skills.
