Abstract

This study aims to analyze the fifth-grade Islamic Creed and Morals (Akidah Akhlak) teaching materials published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia through the lens of the Love-Based Curriculum. This curriculum emphasizes compassion, empathy, and spirituality as the foundation of education. Utilizing a literature review method, this article examines the extent to which values of love towards God, fellow humans, the environment, and oneself are integrated into the content of the teaching materials. The analysis reveals that although the material aligns with the national curriculum standards, its approach remains primarily cognitive and normative. The affective, reflective, and spiritual aspects that are central to the Love-Based Curriculum have not been fully developed, particularly in stimulating students' emotional experiences and nurturing a deep, heartfelt connection. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen the elements of compassion and love-centered pedagogy so that the teaching of Islamic Creed and Morals not only produces intellectually capable students but also morally upright individuals filled with love in their everyday lives.

Abstract

This article discusses the relevance of multicultural education in understanding the nature and duties of students based on the perspective of the hadith. This research is motivated by the challenges of student character in the modern era, which tends to be individualistic and lacks respect for diversity. Through a qualitative approach with literature study, this article examines the multicultural values contained in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, such as tolerance, justice, and respect for cultural, religious, and ethnic differences. The results of the study indicate that multicultural education is aligned with Islamic values, especially in shaping the character of students who are tolerant, open, and have noble morals. The values in the hadith strengthen the understanding that students are unique and diverse learning subjects, who need to be facilitated to develop holistically. Thus, the integration of multicultural values in education is crucial to creating a harmonious and inclusive learning environment in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the modern era has significantly transformed the education sector, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) emerges as an innovation that supports adaptive, effective, and learner-centred learning while redefining teachers’ roles as agents of educational transformation. This study aims to examine the concepts, applications, opportunities, and challenges of AI integration in IRE learning, with particular attention to teachers’ innovative orientation. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research by reviewing relevant scientific literature. The findings indicate that AI can enhance IRE learning by enabling personalized instruction, providing rapid feedback, and offering interactive learning experiences aligned with the characteristics of the digital generation. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited technological infrastructure, gaps in teachers’ digital literacy, and the potential reduction of human interaction between teachers and students. In conclusion, teacher innovation is a crucial factor in optimizing the use of AI in Islamic education. Teachers are expected to act as facilitators, learning designers, and drivers of innovation who are able to integrate Islamic values with technological advancement to ensure that Islamic education remains relevant and competitive in the digital era.
