Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dalam meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan melibatkan dua kelas yang masing-masing ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest partisipasi siswa, observasi partisipasi aktif selama delapan kali pertemuan, dan wawancara mendalam dengan siswa dan guru. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t independent, uji-t berpasangan, serta analisis deskriptif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Jigsaw secara signifikan lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Selain itu, siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi yang konsisten dan perubahan perilaku yang positif dalam proses pembelajaran. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan model Jigsaw mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif, kolaboratif, dan memfasilitasi keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in improving student learning activeness in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. The background of this study is the low level of students' active participation in the Islamic Education learning process, which is often one-way. The Discovery Learning model was chosen because it has the potential to stimulate students to discover concepts and principles independently, so it is expected to increase their involvement and understanding. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SDN 050 Cibiru who were the object of the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in PAI learning. Data were collected through direct observation in the classroom, interviews with PAI teachers, and document analysis related to the learning process. The results showed that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can significantly increase students' learning activeness in PAI subjects. Students look more enthusiastic, dare to ask questions, discuss, and seek their own information to solve problems or understand the material. This can be seen from the increase in student interaction with teachers and fellow students, as well as internal motivation to learn. The obstacles found include students' initial adaptation to the new learning model and the need for more careful teacher preparation in designing learning scenarios. The conclusion of this study is that the Discovery Learning learning model is effective in increasing students' learning activeness in PAI subjects. It is recommended for PAI teachers to consider this model as one of the innovative and student-centered learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the small group discussion method in the teaching of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary school level. This method was chosen for its potential to enhance student engagement, understanding of the material, and social skills.The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, involving observations, interviews, and document analysis from several classes that applied this method. The results indicate that the implementation of small group discussions can increase active student participation in the learning process, deepen their understanding of religious concepts, and encourage collaboration and communication among students. Additionally, students showed improvements in critical and analytical thinking skills when discussing PAI topics. This study recommends that PAI teachers consider using the small group discussion method as an effective teaching strategy to create a more interactive and dynamic learning environment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan small group discussion dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses belajar, memperdalam pemahaman mereka terhadap konsep-konsep agama, serta mendorong kolaborasi dan komunikasi antar siswa. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis dan analitis saat mendiskusikan topik-topik PAI. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru PAI mempertimbangkan penggunaan metode small group discussion sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan dinamis. Dengan demikian, diharapkan siswa tidak hanya memperoleh pengetahuan agama, tetapi juga keterampilan sosial yang penting untuk kehidupan sehari-hari.
