Abstract

Aktivitas pembangunan di wilayah pesisir Morowali telah memberikan tekanan signifikan terhadap ekosistem terumbu karang, menyebabkan degradasi habitat dan penurunan keanekaragaman hayati. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, dilakukan program pengabdian masyarakat berupa pendampingan partisipatif restorasi ekosistem terumbu karang di Perairan Pulau Bapa, Kabupaten Morowali, dengan dukungan PT Hengjaya Mineralindo sebagai mitra binaan. Program ini bertujuan memulihkan ekosistem terumbu karang sekaligus meningkatkan kapasitas dan kesadaran ekologis masyarakat pesisir dalam pengelolaan sumber daya laut secara berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat yang tinggi (85%), keberhasilan transplantasi bibit karang mencapai 82%, serta peningkatan tutupan karang hidup sebesar 12% dalam enam bulan pasca-implementasi. Program ini memberikan model kolaborasi efektif antara akademisi, industri, dan masyarakat dalam konservasi pesisir, yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah pesisir Indonesia lainnya.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of residents in One Ete Village, Morowali Regency, to restore degraded mangrove ecosystems impacted by coastal abrasion, aquaculture activities, and land exploitation. The program was designed using a participatory and collaborative approach through technical training on mangrove seedling production and planting, with Rhizophora mucronata selected as the primary species. A total of 30 participants engaged in hands-on field training covering seed propagation, nursery maintenance, and post-planting monitoring and evaluation. Seedlings were cultivated independently using a sand-soil medium in polybags and later transplanted to abrasion-prone coastal zones using spaced planting supported by bamboo stakes. Monitoring over two months recorded an 85% seedling survival rate, with early signs of ecosystem recovery such as increased fine sediment deposition and the reappearance of coastal fauna. The community also formed working groups to ensure the continued management of mangroves independently. The outcomes demonstrate that a community-based approach, integrated with technical and institutional support, can produce both ecological and social benefits and offers a replicable model for other coastal regions.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the "Harmoni Makarti" Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, initiated by Hengjaya Mine, in revitalizing the Pomponangi farmer group through the introduction of sustainable farming practices as a counterbalance to industrial dominance. The research employed a quasi-experimental Difference-in-Differences (DiD) approach to analyze changes in land use, crop diversification, production costs, and farmer income. Data were collected through surveys, soil quality measurements, field observations, and analysis of farmer group records. Statistical analysis, including paired t-tests, was used to measure the program's impact. The intervention yielded significant positive outcomes. The program successfully secured farmland tenure, slowing conversion rates. It reduced average production costs by 21% (Rp 195 per kg) through the adoption of organic fertilizers and pesticides. Crop diversification increased from 4 to 10 types, leading to a 164% surge in average annual farmer income (from Rp 23.55 million to Rp 62.25 million). Furthermore, the establishment of market linkages with a local enterprise (BUMDES) generated an additional Rp 30.35 million in weekly revenue. The program also achieved a high Community Satisfaction Index score of 85.31. The "Harmoni Makarti" program demonstrates that well-designed CSR initiatives can effectively empower local farmer groups, promote sustainable agriculture, and enhance economic resilience in regions dominated by extractive industries. The findings suggest that such a model of corporate-community partnership is replicable and offers a viable strategy for achieving balanced regional development.

Abstract

Operasi pertambangan di daerah terpencil seringkali bergantung pada generator diesel yang memiliki biaya operasional tinggi dan emisi karbon signifikan. Sistem hibrida Photovoltaic (PV) dan Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) menawarkan solusi yang menjanjikan untuk transisi energi di sektor ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja teknis, ekonomi, dan lingkungan dari sistem hibrida PV 396 kWp dan BESS 276 kWh yang dioperasikan di basecamp PT Hengjaya Mineralindo, Sulawesi Tengah. Studi kasus ini menggunakan data operasional selama satu tahun, yang dianalisis dengan metrik kinerja teknis seperti produksi energi, penetrasi surya, dan pemanfaatan baterai. Data diverifikasi dan dilengkapi dengan pemodelan simulasi menggunakan DIgSILENT PowerFactory dan HOMER Pro. Analisis ekonomi dilakukan dengan menghitung penghematan bahan bakar, sementara dampak lingkungan diukur melalui pengurangan emisi CO₂. Sistem hibrida berhasil memasok 45-50% kebutuhan listrik camp, menghemat 173.578 liter solar per tahun, dan mengurangi emisi CO₂ sebesar 463,251 ton. Namun, kinerja aktual PV hanya mencapai 75% dari estimasi awal akibat orientasi panel yang tidak optimal, shading, dan beban yang lebih rendah dari proyeksi. BESS terbukti menstabilkan sistem, namun pemanfaatannya belum maksimal karena pengaturan Energy Management System (EMS) yang konservatif. Secara ekonomi, sistem ini menghemat biaya energi Rp 2,26-2,78 miliar per tahun. Hasil penelitian membuktikan kelayakan tekno-ekonomi sistem PV-BESS untuk pertambangan terpencil di Indonesia. Optimalisasi melalui penataan ulang panel, penyesuaian strategi EMS, dan pemantauan berbasis cloud sangat disarankan untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan mendukung replicability di lokasi serupa.
