Abstract

The research has been done in the field of Field Work Practice to synthesize superconductors Bi1,6Pb0,4Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+x for Meissner test using solid reaction method. The objective of this research is to make superconductor Bi1,6Pb0,4Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 x with solid reaction method and to know the result of superconducting character of Bi1,6Pb0,4Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 +x based on Meissner test. From the results of Meissner test that has been done on this superconductor sample looks super magnet and superconductor repel each other rejects or super magnet drift.Sehingga it can be concluded that the sample has a strong Meissner effect. From the results of Tc test using cryogenic tools obtained Tc Zero temperature of 103.4 K and Tc Onset of 116.67 K. From the data obtained it can be concluded that the sample has reached phase 2223.

Abstract

Corrosion inhibition of low carbon API 5L by cocoa peel extract (Theobroma cacao) in corrosive medium of natrium chloride and hydrochloride acid of 3% has been investigated. The test was carried out by weight loss method. Corrosion rate was tested on low carbon steel with and without the tea leaves extract for 4 days with concentration of 0, 500, 1000, and 1500 ppm. The research result show that the more percentage of cocoa peels inhibitor extract, the lower corrosion rate so that capability of inhibition will increase. The biggest inhibition efficiency corrosion occurred at concentrations of 1500 ppm in NaCl and HCl with efficiency of 93,39% and 73,6% respectively. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) result shows that the phase was Fe. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) shows that the grain size and cluster is bigger, hole and crack also shows is lower of with inhibitor than without inhibitor. Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) shows that there is Cl element on sample without inhibitor.

Abstract

In this study, the characterization of the carbosil asphalt composite was carried out with a composition variation of 1:9; 1.5:8.5; 2:8; 2.5:7.5; 3:7 and the ratio for pure carbosil without the addition of asphalt. Carbosil is obtained from rice husk waste by using the pyrolysis method. This research was conducted to determine the effect of temperature on the microstructure, structure and functional groups of carbosil asphalt composites. XRD analysis obtained that the phase formed from each composition variation was an amorphous phase. The DTA/TGA analysis shows that there is a change in energy due to the addition of heat, which is indicated by the presence of mass shrinkage in the sample. Compressive strength results indicate that the strength of the carbosil asphalt composite with different material compositions affects the resistance to cracking.

Abstract

Disaster preparedness is an important competency that must be instilled from an early age. Children, especially elementary school students, are a vulnerable group but have great potential to receive education about disaster mitigation. This activity aims to improve students' understanding of SDN 19 Martapura about the types of disasters and self-rescue measures through outreach. The activity implementation method uses an educational-participatory approach that actively involves students in every stage of learning. The activity stages begin with the preparation of materials and media, coordination with the school, interactive delivery of materials, demonstration of safety procedures, and implementation of evacuation simulations. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' knowledge and awareness of disaster mitigation. Before the outreach, only 15–20% of students knew disaster evacuation procedures, whereas after the activity, more than 85% of students were able to explain self-rescue steps correctly. Students were able to differentiate between natural and non-natural disasters, understand the "drop, cover, and hold" procedure during an earthquake, and identify safe assembly points at school. Teachers and principals also stated that this activity inspired them to integrate disaster management into science and civics lessons, as well as conduct regular simulations. Students' enthusiasm was evident in their active participation in asking questions, discussing, and participating in each stage of the activity. These results reinforce the finding that disaster management learning designed based on real-life experiences is more easily understood by children and impacts their behavior. Science-based disaster education through the dissemination of the results of scientific visits to the BMKG (National Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics) has proven effective in improving elementary school students' disaster literacy. This model can be recommended as an applicable educational strategy that can be implemented sustainably in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-module based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in Solid State Physics courses to improve students’ scientific literacy and independent learning. The research employed the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects were 20 sixth-semester students of the Physics Education Program, Universitas Nurul Huda. Data were collected through needs assessment questionnaires, expert validation, scientific literacy tests, and independent learning questionnaires. Validation results showed that the e-module obtained an average score of 90% (material expert) and 89% (media expert), categorized as feasible. A limited trial indicated an increase in students’ scientific literacy from an average score of 58,2 (pre-test) to 78,9 (post-test) with a gain index of 0,42 (medium category). Independent learning improved from an average score of 3,1 to 3,8 on a 5-point Likert scale. The product has also been granted Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) certification. Therefore, the OBE-based interactive e-module is feasible to be used as an innovative learning medium to support students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in conjunction with the Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas Nurul Huda students in Karang Melati Village, Semendawai Timur District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency. The purpose was to empower the community through the establishment of family herbal gardens (TOGA) as an effort to raise awareness of preventive health and the utilization of home yards. The activity employed a participatory method involving village officials, youth organizations (Karang Taruna), and women’s groups (PKK). The initial stage consisted of socialization on the benefits of herbal plants for health and their economic potential, followed by collective planting of ginger, turmeric, and lemongrass in a designated village area. This planting served as both a symbolic action and an important momentum to foster collective awareness of utilizing local potential. The results showed strong community enthusiasm, indicated by the active involvement of 20 households and increased understanding of the benefits of TOGA. In conclusion, the establishment of family herbal gardens has strengthened mutual cooperation, built health independence, and opened opportunities for developing a community-based herbal economy in Karang Melati Village.
