Abstract

This study aims to uncover the meaning of self-purification in Surat al-Shams through the interpretation of the Great Qur'an by Ibn Katsir with a deduction from his interpretation of the purgatory verse, This study follows the inductive and sequential methods of the books of interpretation of the sanctified meaning especially the interpretation of the Great Qur'an by Ibn Katsir, This study aims to help awaken people to always purify themselves by understanding the word of god swt. Finally, this study proved that the meaning of praising in Surat Al-Shams according to Imam Ibn Katheer in his interpretation has two meanings. For the one who purifies himself by God, and the verb in this sense is God Almighty, i.e. He is the one who purifies the servant from polytheism with his righteousness and mercy, and God Almighty has promised him who purifies himself from uncleanness and polytheism with success.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the types of contexts in the Qur'an and to elucidate their significant impact on the interpretation of the Qur'an. The research follows a descriptive analytical approach by examining the words of Imam Sheikh Muhammad Al-Tahir Ibn Ashur in his interpretation, as well as relevant reference materials and books of tafsir associated with his work. The approach involves classifying, collecting, analyzing, and presenting the data while understanding the rules and foundations of his interpretation.This research demonstrates that Imam Muhammad Al-Tahir Ibn Ashur placed great emphasis on the context of the Qur'an. It also proves that there is no repetition within the Qur'an and that understanding its context is highly beneficial for interpreting its texts.

Abstract

This research proved that post-truth has basic characteristics in this era, including: the spread of Hoax easily, the death of experience, and the presence of irritability of the people, and proved that the reason for all this is ignorance of the people, especially in their interest in reading and searching for the truth with a lack of awareness of that, and another reason is the lack of focus by the government in the face of the phenomenon of post-truth. This research revealed Quranic solutions to the issue, first, social monitoring by the government and the people to reduce the seriousness of the post-truth effect, Second, developing the educational quality in the hearts of the people to distinguish between right and wrong and be able to control the speed of emotion when searching for the truth and not forget the objective truth, so that the phenomenon of post-truth is what indicates the circumstances in which objective facts have less impact on public opinion compared to the influence of tendencies, emotions and personal beliefs.

Abstract

Language constitutes a fundamental aspect of human life, essential for the clear reception and conveyance of information. Consequently, ethical linguistic conduct is imperative for effective human communication. The use of appropriate language fosters goodness, harmony, friendship (ukhuwah), and peace, whereas the use of offensive language can result in misunderstanding and engender hostility. This study aims to elucidate the ethics of language as presented in the Qur'an through the method of tafsīr maqāṣidī and its application in daily life. Employing a maqāṣidī exegetical approach combined with descriptive qualitative analysis within a sociolinguistic paradigm, this research involved a study of 64 dormitory students who practiced linguistic ethics. The findings indicate that the implementation of sound language ethics, both environmentally and individually, preserves four key principles of Maqāṣid al-Sharī'ah: ḥifẓ al-dīn (preservation of religion), ḥifẓ al-’aql (preservation of intellect), ḥifẓ al-nafs (preservation of life), and ḥifẓ al-bī'ah (preservation of the environment). Thus, the use of proper language is a core aspect of linguistic ethics, and its daily implementation positively impacts an individual's personality, thereby contributing to a harmonious, virtuous, and peaceful environment.

Abstract

Research and publication of scientific articles are core elements in academic development and quality improvement of higher education. Lecturers as the spearhead in the academic world have an important role in this process. Therefore, community service in the form of training in writing scientific articles for lecturers is an inevitable step to improve the capacity and quality of their research. This article discusses scientific article writing training for lecturers as one of the community service efforts in improving their research competence.

Abstract

Qur'anic learning with the Talqin method is Qur'anic learning in which an Ustadz or Qur'anic teacher dictates the recitation of the Qur'an to the participants in accordance with the rules of tajweed, Waqaf rules, and Ibtida. This article aims to describe the effectiveness of learning the Qur'an with the Talqin method. This service reveals the effectiveness of learning the Qur'an using the Talqin method to TPQ students at the Abdullah bin Mas`ud Mosque and the Miftahul Hidayah Cibodas Cianjur Mosque. The results of this service show the effectiveness of the Talqin method for Qur'an learners at the Abdullah bin Mas`ud Mosque and the Miftahul Hidayah Cibodas Mosque.

Abstract

Qur’anic education is essential and highly needed for all groups of people—children, adults, and the elderly alike. Therefore, improving the quality of Qur'anic recitation is crucial and should be instilled from an early age. Qur’anic education serves as an alternative solution to the various problems found within society. The Qur'anic Education Center (TPQ) is one of the facilities that helps children improve and enhance their Qur'an recitation skills, as well as a means to instill Qur'anic values in them from a young age. As a result, children will be able to read the Qur’an correctly and fluently through the application of various teaching methods used in each TPQ, including the talaqqi and participatory methods, which actively involve children in correcting mistakes in Qur'anic recitation. This community service activity uses a descriptive analysis method, where data is collected through direct observation, and the results show that the talaqqi and participatory methods are highly effective and beneficial for children.
