Abstract

This community service aims to improve the writing competence of the community, especially youth organizations and local youth. Apart from that, the writing skills that will be carried out are not just ordinary writing, but utilizing technology and its application based on current developments through copy writing. This starts from a lack of understanding and utilization of writing activities other than formal activities such as school. In this case, introduction, knowledge and training regarding copy writing skills are carried out which can be utilized in the economic and business fields such as marketing. Currently, the search for information, knowledge, product introductions or advertisements is not just about images, but needs to be accompanied by the use of appropriate words and sentences. Therefore, basic knowledge is needed and how to develop appropriate writing according to the objectives. The implementation is carried out for one day which consists of delivering material, exercises and discussions to achieve the expected competencies. Abstrak Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat, terutama karang taruna dan pemuda setempat. Selain itu, kemampuan menulis yang akan dilakukan bukan sekadar menulis biasa, namun memanfaatkan teknologi dan penerapannya berdasarkan perkembangan saat ini melalui copy writing. Hal ini berawal dari kurangnya pemahaman dan pemanfaatan kegiatan menulis selain dilakukan pada kegiatan formal seperti sekolah. Dalam hal ini dilakukan pengenalan, pengetahuan, dan pelatihan terkait copy writing skill yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam bidang ekonomi dan bisnis seperti pemasaran. Saat ini pencarian informasi, pengetahuan, pengenalan produk atau iklan bukan hanya sekadar gambar saja, namun perlu disertai dengan penggunaan kata serta kalimat yang tepat. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan pengetahuan mendasar dan bagaimana mengembangkan tulisan yang tepat sesuai dengan tujuan. Untuk pelaksanaan dilaksanakan selama satu hari yang terdiri dari penyampaian materi, latihan, dan diskusi untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop short story writing teaching materials based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Literacy skills are developed in various learning activities, one of which is writing, which can be linked to fictional stories in the form of short stories. This writing activity is related to the use of language in daily life, and the topics raised can be related to everyday experiences. Writing short stories requires a process of developing students' creativity. This process contains the concept that short story writing skills are not acquired instantly, but rather thru a step-by-step process with intensive and continuous practice, and requires students' active participation in the writing process. Writing short stories is not easy and can encounter obstacles such as developing ideas, describing the core of the story, setting, characters, plot development, and building dialog that fits the story and the characters being portrayed. One solution that can be implemented is providing teaching materials with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The presence of AI-assisted teaching materials in writing short stories can help someone develop the ideas they want to turn into a short story, the general outline of the story, characters, setting, events, and dialog. This can help someone develop short stories with more varied, creative narratives tailored to each individual's experiences. Thru this AI-based learning material, one can utilize it and elaborate it into a form of self-understanding description that will later be developed or can become points in a specific schema format. The short story writing teaching materials created based on this needs analysis will later be developed, validated, and field-tested on a limited scale.

Abstract

This stems from a lack of understanding and utilisation of writing activities outside of formal settings like school. In this case, there is an introduction, knowledge, and training related to writing stories for content that can be utilised in the fields of economics and business, such as social media marketing. Currently, searching for information, knowledge, product recognition, or advertisements is not just about images; it also requires the use of the right words and sentences. Therefore, a basic understanding of how to develop appropriate writing or stories that align with the goal is needed. The activity process is carried out from the preparation stage, implementation, and report preparation. Dalam hal ini dilakukan pengenalan, pengetahuan, dan pelatihan terkait menulis cerita untuk konten yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam bidang ekonomi dan bisnis seperti pemasaran melalui media sosial. Saat ini pencarian informasi, pengetahuan, pengenalan produk atau iklan bukan hanya sekadar gambar saja, namun perlu disertai dengan penggunaan kata serta kalimat yang tepat. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan pengetahuan mendasar dan bagaimana mengembangkan tulisan atau cerita yang tepat sesuai dengan tujuan. Proses kegiatan yang dilakukan mulai dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penyusunan laporan. Untuk tahap pelaksanaan sendiri dilaksanakan selama satu hari yang terdiri dari penyampaian materi, latihan, dan diskusi untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan.
