Abstract

Asma is a chronic respiratory condition that is usually found in both children and adults. The frequency of asthma in children varies greatly across countries in the world, ranging from 1-18 percent. Narrowing and obstruction of the respiratory system occurs due to bronchial wall thickening, smooth muscle contraction, mucosal edema, mucus hypersecretion. This study aims to determine the description of asthma in children in several regions in Indonesia based on age, gender, exposure to cigarette smoke and pets. The method in this research is a descriptive study by means of a regular study of twenty-three jurnal related to the description of asthma in children in several regions in Indonesia objective criteria consisting of age, gender, exposure to cigarette smoke, and pets. Based on the results of a study of twenty-three journals that specifically examine the picture of bronchial asthma in children in several regions in Indonesia, it can be concluded that the distribution of age, gender, exposure to cigarette smoke, and pets has a relationship with the picture of bronchial asthma in children in several regions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Heart failure is a condition of abnormalities in the function and structure of the heart that results in the heart not being able to pump blood throughout the body adequately to meet the metabolic needs of tissues, or the heart can pump blood if the filling pressure of the heart is very high.To find out things that have a relationship with heart failure in patients in several locations in Asia, America, and Europe for the period 2001 to 2021.The research method used is a systematic review by synthesizing the results obtained by eight scientific research journals with a case control research design. Data from eight research results analyzed showed that there was a significant relationship between nutritional status, hypertension, smoking habits, and physical activity (p value < 0.05%) with heart failure in patients in several locations in Asia, America, and Europe in 2001. until 2021. Meanwhile, there is no significant relationship between diabetes mellitus (p value > 0.05%) and heart failure in patients in several locations in Asia, America, and Europe from 2001 to 2021. Heart failure in patients in several locations in Asia, America, and Europe from 2001 to 2021 had a significant relationship with nutritional status, hypertension, smoking habits, and physical activity, and no relationship with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a condition in which there is a structural or functional abnormality of the heart which causes the heart to fail to deliver oxygen throughout the body for fill the tissue needs by increasing filling pressure or its ability only if accompanied by an abnormal increase in diastolic volume. The purpose of this study was to find out things that have a relationship with congestive heart failure in patients in several locations in Asia and America in the period 2008 to 2021. The research method was an analytical research by processing the results obtained from nine scientific research journals with research design is a case-control. The results of the nine research journals analyzed showed that there was a relationship with congestive heart failure in several locations in Asia and America, there was a significant relationship between hypertension, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney failure, and smoking on congestive heart failure with p-values <0.05. Meanwhile, there was no significant relationship between dyslipidemia and obesity with congestive heart failure with p-value > 0.05 in several locations in Asia and America. The conclusion of congestive heart failure in patients in several locations in Asia and America in the period 2008 to 2021 there was a significant relationship between hypertension, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney failure and smoking on the incidence of congestive heart failure.

Abstract

Dyspepsia is a syndrome or a collection of symptoms/complaints consisting of pain or discomfort in the pit of the stomach, bloating, nausea, vomiting, belching, feeling full quickly, stomach feeling full/full. There are several risk factors for functional dyspepsia. Functional dyspepsia occurs due to various reasons, most commonly due to increased stomach acid production or decreased resistance of the stomach wall to external influences. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for functional dyspepsia (1) diet (2) stress (3) history of alcohol consumption (4) history of consumption of NSAIDs. This research was conducted on 100 people with functional dyspepsia syndrome at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bosowa. This study used an analytic method with a cross-sectional study design using primary data in the form of interviews with functional dyspepsia sufferers in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bosowa Class of 2019-2021. Data analysis was processed using SPSS software. The results of this study indicate the risk factors for functional dyspepsia in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bosowa Batch 2019-2021, namely: (1) There was no significant relationship between diet and functional dyspepsia, (2) There was a significant relationship between stress and functional dyspepsia, (3) ) There was no relationship between history of alcohol consumption and functional dyspepsia, (4) There was no significant relationship between history of consumption of NSAIDs and functional dyspepsia. The conclusion of the study is that stress is a risk factor for functional dyspepsia in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bosowa.

Abstract

Worm infection (worms) is an endemic and chronic disease caused by intestinal parasitic worms with a high prevalence, which can suck blood and nutrients in the body, resulting in reduced health and nutrition in the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for worm infection in elementary school students in several regions in Indonesia for the 2013-2020 period. The results of research from seven journals that specifically examine matters that are related to worm infections in elementary school students in several regions in Indonesia for the 2013-2020 period, it can be concluded that the habit of washing hands, the habit of using footwear, the habit of playing on the ground, Nail hygiene has a relationship with worm infections in elementary school students in several regions in Indonesia. The conclusion of helminth infections in several regions in Indonesia for the 2013-2020 period is that there is a significant relationship between hand washing habits, the habit of using footwear, the habit of playing on the ground and the cleanliness of nails

Abstract

Diabetic neuropathy is a set of nervous disorders and loss of sensory function starting from the distal part of the lower extremities due to high blood glucose in diabetics, which if left unchecked will cause other complications in the form of diabetic ulcers, gangrene, or autonomic cardiovascular neuropathy, with diabetic neuropathy being the complication with the greatest incidence compared to other complications of diabetes. The purpose of the study was to determine the risk factors for the incidence of diabetic neuropathy: (1) nutritional status, (2) triglyceride levels, (3) duration of suffering from diabetes mellitus, (4) controlled blood sugar, and (5) history of hypertension. This study was conducted on 60 people with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were treated on the road at the Internal Medicine Polyclinic of Hikmah Makassar Hospital. This study employed observational and analytical-descriptive methods with a cross-sectional research design, collecting primary data through patient interviews and reviewing medical records of diabetic neuropathy patients at Hikmah Hospital Makassar's Internal Medicine Polyclinic. Data analysis is processed using SPSS software. The results of this study showed that the risk factors for the incidence of diabetic neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were treated at the Internal Medicine Polyclinic of Hikmah Makassar Hospital were: (1) A meaningful relationship was obtained between nutritional status and diabetic neuropathy; (2) A meaningful relationship was obtained between triglyceride levels and diabetic neuropathy; (3) A meaningful relationship was obtained between the duration of suffering from diabetes mellitus and diabetic neuropathy; (4) A meaningful relationship was obtained between controlled blood sugar and diabetic neuropathy; and (5) A meaningful relationship was obtained between a history of hypertension and diabetic neuropathy

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where toddlers experience impaired growth and development that caused by malnutrition and repeated infection which could limit children’s physical and cognitive capacity. This study aims to identify few possible matters that may correlated with the occurrence of child stunting in several regions in Indonesia for the period 2011 to 2021. A literature review method of eleven previous scientific research journals was an analytical method with a case control research design. The results of analyzing eleven scientific studies showed that the occurrence of child stunting in Indonesia was significantly correlated with exclusive breastfeeding, low birthweight, history of infectious diseases, mother’s educational background, and parenting.In summary, factors that played huge role in occurrence of child stunting for decade (2011-2021) in Indonesia were exclusive breastfeeding, low birthweight, history of infectious diseases, mother’s educational background and parenting.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease is a kidney disease in which there is a decrease in kidney function over a period of months to years which is characterized by a slow decrease in the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) over a long period. 1 There are no initial symptoms of chronic kidney disease, however Over time, when chronic kidney disease worsens, symptoms will appear such as: swelling of the legs, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, and confusion. Kidney function indicates the condition of the kidneys and their function in kidney physiology. A risk factor for chronic kidney disease can be the patient's family history of the disease. This research was conducted on 100 people with chronic kidney disease who experienced anemia who were hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital. This research used a descriptive observational method using secondary data in the form of medical records of chronic kidney disease sufferers who had anemia who were hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital. The results of this study show the distribution of chronic kidney disease sufferers who experience anemia who are hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital, namely: (1) Characteristics based on age are mostly late elderly (44%), (2) More often suffer from severe anemia (50%), (3) With the highest degree of GFR, namely at stage 5 (85%), (4) there is more history of hypertension (46%), history of diabetes mellitus (29%), history of urinary tract stones (6%), prostate hypertrophy (16%) and others ( 3%). Based on the results of research describing the characteristics of anemia in CKD patients who were hospitalized at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital of 100 samples, it was found that patients in late elderly age were the majority of patients who experienced chronic kidney disease, had severe degrees of anemia and had GFR stage 5 and had the most comorbid diseases. Many are hypertension.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes is a type of diabetes that is generally caused by insulin resistance and decreased pancreatic beta cell function, where insulin resistance causes the body to not fully respond to insulin. The purpose of this study was to find out things that have a relationship with the occurrence of type II diabetes mellitus in several locations in the Asia-Africa region from 2012 to 2021. The research method is an analytical research by synthesizing the results obtained by nine scientific research articles with a case control research design. The results of the eleven studies analyzed show that there are things that have a relationship with the occurrence of type II diabetes mellitus in patients in several locations in the Europe region, which is a significant relationship between nutritional status, smoking habit, history of hypertension and family history. on the incidence of type II diabetes mellitus in several locations in the Asia-Africa region with p value < 0.05%. The Conclusion of the incidence of type II diabetes mellitus in several locations in the Europe region from 2012 to 2021 has a significant relationship to nutritional status, smoking habit, history of hypertension and family history.

Abstract

Acute coronary syndrome is a picture of ischemic conditions in the myocardium (heart muscle) caused by plaque in the coronary arteries and gets worse with the thrombosis process, causing obstruction which causes reduced perfusion to the myocardium. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with patients with acute coronary syndrome based on hypertension, diabetes, smoking, dyslipidemia and obesity. The research method used in this study is analytic by using a literature objective approach on factors that are associated with patients with acute coronary syndrome in the journal of medical research results in the literature. The results of research from eleventeen literature journals show that there is a relationship between acute coronary syndrome in several locations in the Asian region from 2011 to 2019 it can be concluded that in patients with acute coronary syndrome, namely hypertension (p-value = <0.001), diabetes (p-value = <0.001), smoking (p-value = <0.001), dyslipidemia (p-value = <0.001), obesity (p-value = <0.001), had a significant relationship with acute coronary syndrome in several locations in Asia during the period It is hoped that this research will be able to increase the participation of the health department, in collaboration with health workers and community leaders in preventing and dealing with acute coronary syndrome events.
