Abstract

Research on the effect of Trichoderma sp in incresing the growth of tomato plants (Solanum Lycopersicum L.), held from April to June 2018 at the Laboratory Science Center of PGRI University. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect fungus of Trichoderma sp., on increasing the growth of tomato plant. This study uses acompletel randomized design with six treatments and four replications. Pameters observed were plants height, diameter and number of leaves. The results showed that Trichoderma sp had a very significant effect on the height and number plant leaves, but the effect is not significant on the stem diameter. The higher the dose Trichoderma sp given, the hingher and more number of leaPenelitian tentang Pengaruh Pemberian Jamur Trichoderma sp dalam Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Tanaman Tomat (Solanum Lycopersicum L.), telah dilaksankan pada bulan April sampai dengan Juni 2018 di Laboratorium Terpadu Universitas PGRI Palembang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jamur Trichoderma sp dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengap (RAL) dengan enam perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter tanaman, dan jumlah daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Trichoderma sp berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi dan jumlah daun tanaman tomat, namun berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap diameter batang. Semakin tinggi dosis Trichoderma sp yang diberikan, semakin tinggi dan semakin banyak jumlah daun tanamanves.

Abstract

The research to analysis the morphometric of rice fruit was carried out till April to November 2021, with the aim of studying the morphometric of rice fruit planted in community in Pulau Rimau District, Banyuasin Regency. Sampling was done by purposive on one plot in each area of rice varieties. Parameters observed in this study include the morphometric of rice fruit from 8 varieties, namely Inpari 32 HDB, Black Ketan, Cimelati, Ciasem, IR 42, Ciherang, IR 64 and Mapan 05. Morphometric was carried out by measuring the length and diameter of the fruit using a caliper with a caliper. clamping the ends of each rice variety, the width (diameter) was measured using a caliper at the center of the fruit for each rice variety on 50 rice plants per variety. The weight was weighed using an analytical balance. The results showed that structure of fruit are slender, long to short and medium slender. Fruit colours are yellow to grayish black, with diameter of 25 - 28 mm, an length of 7.9 - 10.3 mm, and weight is 1.11 - 1.49 grams

Abstract

Research on Weed Vegetation in  Cassava (Manihot esculenta) was carried out from March to April 2019 at a cassava plantation in East OKU Regency, South Sumatra. This study aims to determine the composition and structure of weeds in cassava plantations. This study used a quadratic method with 7 plots of 2 x 2 m in size. The parameters observed were density (K), relative density (KR), frequency (F), relative frequency (FR), Importance Value Index (INP) and Community Diversity Index (H '). The results showed 11 types of weeds, namely Ageratum conyzoides, Erechtites valerianifolia, Chromolaena odorata, Asystasia gangetica, Mimosa pudica, Boreria alata, Calapogonium caereuleum, Cleome rutidosperma, Physalis angulata, Cyperus rotundus, and Axonopus compressus. The dominant species was Ageratum conyzoides INP 47.43%. Species diversity is moderate with H 'value.

Abstract

Sungsang Village is located at the mouth of the Musi River making this area dense with settlements and transportation activities, this contributes to damage and results in decreased water quality. This study aims to analyze the concentrations of Pb and Cd in water, sediment and white shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis) and examine the level of accumulation of Pb and Cd through the BCF values of Pb and Cd in white shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis) in water and sediment in the waters of Sungsang I Village. Results the study showed that the average concentration of Pb in water in the waters of Sungsang I Village was 0.104 mg/L, exceeding the threshold value in Kep.Minister of State for the Environment No. 51 of 2004. The average Pb content in sediments is 24.892 mg/Kg, still below the quality standards of the Guidelines for the Protection and Management of Aquatic Sediment Quality in Ontario. The average concentration of Pb in jerbung shrimp is 0.809 mg/Kg, this value exceeds the limit set by BPOM. The results of the Cd test showed that the average water content, sediment, and jerbung shrimp were 0.013 mg/L, 0.174 mg/Kg and 0.127 mg/Kg. The BCF Pb value of shrimp-sediment was 7.779 and BCF Pb of shrimp-sediment was 0.033. The BCF Cd of shrimp-sediments was 9.769 and the BCF Cd of shrimp-sediments was 0.730. The Pb and Cd bioconcentration values of the jerbung shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis) in water and sediment are included in the low accumulative category, because the BCF value is <100.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the antagonists ability of Gliocladium sp. to inhibit the growth of anthracnose foul disease (Colletotrichum capgeatsici). This study used experimental method with a complete randomized design pattern (RAL) consisted of  6 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the Gliocladium sp  antagonists tratments had a very significant effect to the growth of Colletotrichum capsici. Keywords: Gliocladium sp, Colletotrichum capsici, antagonist testABSTRAK                                       Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan antagonis Gliocladium sp  dalam menghambat pertumbuhan jamur penyebab penyakit busuk antraknosa (Colletotrichum capgeatsici).  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen secara laboratorium dengan pola rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Abstract

Research was conducted in the Science Center Laboratory of Universitas PGRI Palembang from November to February 2018. This research utilized the Completely Randomized Design with six level treatment and four replications. The objective of this research was recognized that the effect of Trichoderma sp was not significant to grow, baut had a very significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. The higher the dose give, the larger the diameter of the stem and the number of leaves. Keywords : Trichoderma sp, plant growth, soybean crops  ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian jamur Trichoderma sp yang diberikan terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman Kedelai (Glycine max L.), telah dilakukan di Laboratorium Terpadu Universitas PGRI Palembang dari bulan November 2017 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Trichoderma sp berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, namun berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter batang dan jumlah daun tanaman. Abstract

Research on the Consumption Preference for Rice Beetles (Sitophilus oryzae L) in Several Rice Varieties was carried out from March to Mei 2019 at Laboratory Science Center of PGRI University. The study aims to determine the consumption preferences of several rice varieties caused by rice beetles. The study used the Experimental method in a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and five replications, namely white, red, black, white sticky rice and black sticky rice varieties. Based on the analysis of fingerprints, the treatment of white sticky rice varieties significantly affected the amount of lose weight rice and rice beetle consumption preference, then continued with the BNT Test. The treatment of varieties D (white sticky rice) was not significantly different from the treatment of varieties E (black sticky rice), treatment E (black sticky rice) significantly different from the treatment of variety C (black rice), the treatment of variety C (black rice) was not significantly different from the treatment of variety B (brown rice), treatment of variety B (brown rice) was significantly different from the treatment of variety A (white rice). Based on the BNT Test, rice beetle consumption preferences seen from the weight reduction of rice in D rice varieties had the greatest weight reduction of 6.6 grams and the lowest weight reduction was white rice varieties of 0.9 grams, while for red, black and Black sticky rice has an average weight loss of rice each of 4.1 grams, 4.2 grams and 5.7 grams. Based on the percentage of preference (preference) for rice beetle consumption, it was found that the highest percentage was found in white sticky rice varieties at 6.6% and the lowest in white rice varieties at 1.5%, while for brown rice varieties at 4%, black rice 4.2% and black sticky rice 5.6%.

Abstract

Research on the types of orders of Passeriformes that have been traded at the Palembang bird market in South Sumatra has been carried out. The aim of this study was to find out the types of Passeriformes sequences, including endemic birds, protected birds and endangered Sumatran birds that were traded at the Palembang bird market. South Sumatra. This research was conducted in January-April 2019, at the bird market on the old Masjid Jalan, Kelurahan 17 Ilir and Pasar Cinde on Jalan Jendral Sudirman. The method used is purposive sampling. Bird identification was carried out at the Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of PGRI Palembang. The types of Order Passers found were 12 Familia, 23 Genus, and 31 Species. Familia Sturnidae which has the highest diversity of species, namely 5 species.

Abstract

Pineapple is a tropical plant with fresh fruit that has a sweet and slightly sour taste. Pineapple is usually propagated vegetatively by saplings or fruit crown shoots because these plants are pertenocarpic. Plants are nodes that soar upwards. This research was conducted to determine the types of pineapples found in Prabumulih Regency/City and to determine the characteristics of these types of pineapples. This research uses survey method by conducting exploration in Prabumulih Regency/City.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the FST Workshop at PGRI Palembang University. The time of the study starts from May to June 2021. This type of research is an experimental study using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications, so there are 25 treatment units. The treatments consisted of: (P0) with a dose of 0 ml, (P1) with a dose of 100 ml of rice/plant washing water, (P2) with a dose of 200 ml of rice/plant washing water, (P3) with a dose of 300 ml of rice washing water. /plant, and (P4) with a dose of 400 ml of rice washing water/plant. The variables observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, and wet weight of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The results showed that the rice washing water treatment on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) did not have a significant effect on increasing the number of leaves of mustard greens, but had a significant effect on the growth of plant height and wet weight of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) .).
